While we were in PA for a softball tournament, my daughter needed some batting practice between…read moregames. We found D Bat a few miles from our hotel. Ambience - this is a very modern batting cage. When you first step inside, you are in a baseball/softball equipment store. Once you walk through to the cages, you are met with a large spacious facility. They have pitching machines that can either throw baseball or softballs. You buy credits for 15 pitches at a time. One of the batting cages has a Hittrax that simulates where the ball would have gone on a ball field. We started off on the pitching machine. You pre-pay to load up an account. You scan a QR code that they provide you at the beginning of the hitting session, select baseball/softballs, select the speed and then the height of the strike zone. We found this to be convenient, but was a little disappointed with the accuracy of the pitches as some were too low and others too high. We eventually moved to a cage to do front toss ourselves. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back when we are in the area.

There a walking trail that meanders around the park. If you want to have lunch or dinner outside, there are lots of picnic tables which are typically clean. There's also a bathroom on site, but recently it's been closed due to Covid-19, not sure if it's opened up again. Parking lot is next to the school. Plenty of spaces available. Overall great park. Five stars.

The league keeps fun stats and sends them out regularly. 3. Run effectively - the umpires are consistent and the league works hard to keep the field in good playing shape. 4. Run equitably - the league keeps track of players and prevents teams from substituting in ringers in the playoffs. Now it possesses 6 sports fields (3 baseball, 3 multipurpose), plus facilities for restrooms and snack concessions, and beautiful Noah's Playground. While a few more trees and benches would enhance the functionality of the available uses, it still represents a major improvement for the residents of William Penn's "New Town." My son played little league baseball here and competed on traveling soccer teams with teams across the region into New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The brick wall entrance and 12' flag pole were constructed by a local boy scout securing his Eagle Rank Badge by this community project. There is ample parking, and each field is dedicated to one of our nation's armed service branches. The flag of each flies next to the associated field of play. Before Covid this park was a major economic engine in town, bringing in hundreds of visitors each weekend for tournaments, with hungry bellies and sleepy kids looking for good family food and lodging. Hopefully, it will be that again soon. At this moment the fields slumber beneath a heavy blanket of snow awaiting Spring to be born anew.

This is a great place but lately things have happened that have disappointed me. The most recent…read moreevent occurred last week. I did a 3.0 group drill. This is a 1.5 hour drill at a cost of $34 per person which was supposed to start at 1:30. Due to issues with reserved court time, our drill started 15 minutes late. My first issue was that someone made a mistake booking court time. Our drill had 6 people waiting around for the issue to be resolved. The drill started late at 1:45 and the instructor ended at 3:00 sharp. I was ticked off because I paid $34 for a 1.5 hour drill and the instructor ran out the door at 3:00. There was no one scheduled on the court at 3:00 so we could have easily extended the drill. I also shared my concern with another instructor. I can live with a drill starting late......but BCRC should give paying customers the full length of the drill. On future drills I plan to avoid the instructor in question because I feel this person puts in less effort than the other great instructors.
