I MUST come back here for concert (we would stay overnight - it was an almost 2-hour drive for us from Southern New Jersey). Last night's (10/21/23) was for a PERFECT wedding reception. The facility blew me /us away! The happy couple had two floors - the third floor was for cocktail hour. The 2nd floor was for the reception, which boasted insanely scrumptious food (I had risotto; the man, a chicken dish), and a live band. Personal and beautiful touches of the couple were strewn througout the gigantic room. The decor was just beautiful and there were two big bars, with great bartenders. Please just go online and look into it!!!! BEST WEDDING RECEPTION I'VE EVER EVER BEEN TO - HANDS DOWN!!!

Due to the park being really crowed we waited about an hour and a half after our reservation time before our first game but after that the time flew by. Special Note: Mask are not required and social distancing is not enforced. 95% of the people there did not have mask on. We wore ours. You do have a goggles mask you have to wear while playing so that helped. It's just in between games while waiting at the picnic area that you have to worry about. Overall it was a very fun day! A big THANK YOU to Asher for a job well done. My family had a blast.

I rode on the Valley Preferred Cycling Track today for a couple hours. It was Try the track day…read more The instructors were great! I was able to ride at the top without freaking out. I kept waiting for me to slide down the track, I didn't. Instead I fell over before we even got started! You're supposed to hold onto the wall while getting both feet onto the pedals. I was working on getting the last foot onto the pedal when I wiggled a little too much and the bike tipped over dumping me out onto the track. Luckily I didn't hurt anything. I decided that, well since I already fell, I didnt have to worry about falling while I was riding on the track. Oh well, sh.t happens

I spent many years of my youth racing there on Friday nights. Back in the early days, there were sometimes 2,000 plus spectators on a Friday night. I don't go up to T-Town that much any more. Sometimes for the races on Saturday's and once a year or so on a Friday night to watch the Mike Walter Memorial 100 lap Madison. Mike Walter was a close friend and teammate. The facility has evolved over the years and it is one of the nicer velodromes in the country. The admission fee in extremely reasonable and there are excellent food choices. They even have beer! It is a fun and exciting atmosphere. The crowds are not as large as they once were but T-Town still draws some of the best track cyclists in the country and the racing is always interesting to watch. The announcer does a great job in keeping the spectators informed. The Valley Preferred Cycling Center also has many programs for youth cycling and for the community and 2 huge bicycle swap meets.

But…read moresince they've jacked up the gate prices & the food is outrageously priced (we usually go someplace else when leave to eat) & it seems to be the same old same old... I've stopped going! Shame because it used to be something I looked forward to every year & never missed going to (sometimes 2 or 3 times in the week).
