One started whining and the Manager made a rude comment about her whining. The little girls mom asked him to not say anything else about her daughter. He cussed her and told her he could say whatever he wanted. Another guy that worked there(I guess he worked there NO NAME TAGS) started in telling the lady to be quiet and talking rudely to her also. He told her the other guy could say whatever he wanted because he was the MANAGER. I did not say anything while this was going on. I checked out and I asked for the Managers name. I was told you have bought your items and you are done you need to leave. I said, "All I want is the managers name. The guy told me to call Corporate. He also told me to shut my mouth and cussed me. One man who kept leaving his station while on register and the other slow as molasses. The door lady watched while it took cashier at least 10 seconds to check one customer out and proceeded to hold them hostage at door just 4 feet away while she ransacked their bags. Get a clue this place needs some proper mgmnt who knows what they are doing. Watched many ppl just give up and leave rather than wait for a cashier. Laziest bunch of retail workers - go to Walmart who seems to value this behavior as well. Won't be back to this one again. Literally 5 staff up front and no one bothered to do a thing to improve customer service almost like they enjoyed making customers wait forever. Customers that pay your wages. Need to remember without customers you have no job. Corporate should fire every last one of you and hire ppl who actually know what they are doing.

My name is Ruby Harvey-Burgin. Back in about 1974, I did a commercial for Armadillo's Hand. It was…read moredone by NBC Channel 4 and aired during Soul Train that aired at midnight. It showed the various " hip" merchandise of that era, seemingly quite revolutionary and different!! The owner was a very liberal minded charismatic female. I think she was from either New York or Los Angeles. She felt I was perfect, as a Black young female, to do the commercial during a time when it was quite unpopular. I recall doing the commercial in a long full Latina skirt and western boots, in full Southwestern garb!I I was spinning and twirling in free dance. It ended ( finally) with me looking straight into the camera. We had to do several takes because it seemed the camera man did not want to capture my face. When he played back the edit, it showed his avoiding featuring me and only picking up traces or hints I was somewhere in the mix. When I advised the owner she wasted no time reminding him she was paying for it and had him capture my whole body and face in full expressive glory!! She was bold to have done so! I think she knew the social logistics but felt it was time for social change! If I am not mistaken I think it was Arkansas' first Black commercial sponsored by a Caucasian-owned retail store!! A proud moment in time... history was made!! I would love a copy to show my grandchildren and my current celebrity granddaughter, as well as my nieces and nephews why I have been so adamant about " passion" for life!! Thanks Armadillo's Hand. You made Civil Rights history without knowing you did... so did NBC!! It was a nice feeling when my friends and peers would ask, " Ruby, was that you in that commercial that came on during Soul Train...that Armadillo's Hand commercial?!" Or " Damn girl, you made us proud!"
