Employees are not the nicest the coupons they send you never seem to work at the store and they tell you to call corporate and never resolve the issue there. Prices are not cheaper than regular stores and half of the food items are expired or about to expire. don't know what the hype is anymore, back some years it was great in all but now its horrible. read more

It has been a very long time since I shopped at Big Lots. I wanted to get a saute pan and didn't feel like driving to BrandsMart USA. Luckily with a quick search through Yelp, I found a Big Lots about 3 miles from where I was. Located in a plaza along Pembroke Pines (same as Mojo Donuts & Hooters), this Big Lots is a very large store with organized aisles stocked with the following: * Pet care * Grocery * Furniture/seasonal items * Kitchen essentials * Toys * Health & beauty items/ household products *Home decor/decorative pillows * Electronics/phone accessories After walking around the store, I manage to find a saute pan for $20. I proceeded to the checkout line to pay for the item. I don't see myself shopping here often unless I'm going to update my kitchenware. read more

Loved that they have curbside along with their great prices. The curbside system is similar to other locations. You have a designated area and call the number for someone to come help you. This location was in a very active area so it was a little difficult to park in the designated spots. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We ordered a few pieces of furniture on May 16th while in the store. BEWARE...this location outsource their deliveries and this is where things went very wrong. We contacted the delivery company while in the store and was quoted a price on delivery and set up ( because we were buying a dresser, 2 night stands that would need to be assembled. We were quoted a price before we even left the store. On the day of delivery the driver called and was nice but when they got here to deliver the furniture it was a complete shakedown for more money. We then had to call the number we had saved from when we called Lewis delivery. The owner completely denied our quote. So because we had pulled out just enough cash to pay the delivery guys based on the quote we opted to just have them bring the furniture up and we would put the furniture together ourselves (if you have ever put together cheap furniture you are feeling our pain and understand why we wanted to pay to have someone assemble the furniture). The drivers slammed our stuff around, stomped around etc. total attitudes and lazy. Once the drivers left we go to assemble the dresser and night stands and between the store and the drivers they delivered stuff in the completely wrong finish. We bought a black bed and they took it upon themselves to deliver us "WHITE" finished furniture because the store didn't even have the furniture we bought and paid for in the finish we wanted. So we had to carry this stuff (heavy boxes) of the incorrect stuff back to the store which was super heavy and hard on my back but we had to it was wrong and it was time for a refund. AVOID BUYING FURNITURE if you need to have it delivered because the delivery company will shake you down for more money, they will slam your stuff around, deliver the wrong stuff and the "acting" store manager will give you an excuse that the sales person was supposed to tag the items we bought so they would t be over sold and out of stock. Which is what happened and they just randomly picked stuff to be delivered without checking the finish. Big dummies we took our business to ROOMS TO GO. The clearance center had high quality REAL furniture instead of the press board put together crap for around the same price read more

Horrible. 6 people left the store because they only needed one thing and dropped it in the aisle when they realized there was only one cashier and not another employee anywhere in site. On top of that, she is taking her sweet go damn time. There were 13 customers when I got in line. Now there are 10 more behind me. What a mess of a place. read more

This is my favorite Big Lots store. It has a huge selection of furniture and a lot of groceries. You always find something good here.

This location has a huge selection of high quality furniture at ridiculously good prices. I scoured all of Broward county searching for an all fabric sectional sofa... Went to Rooms to Go, City Furniture, Ashley, El Dorado... Everything was priced at $1299 or higher for what I was looking for. Went to Big Lots and behold the $899 sectional of my dreams! They had it in stock and the sales guy helped to load it into our truck. We live very close by so (without even having to ask) he let us borrow the dolly so we could get it into the house. I have not shopped here much for regular household items but I do know they also have a big patio section with good priced quality stuff. They also had financing options available, I think it was 12 months interest free or something similar which is right on par with what the other big furniture stores have to offer, except you'll probably use your Big Lots card more often than a furniture store card. Definitely check it out if you're in the market for furniture! read more

i had a very bad experience with Big Lots, it started great with interest free purchase, i was informed it could take weeks to get my furniture and it did, 5 weeks after a few phone calls i was told the furniture was in and asked when would i like the delivery this was on a Friday i told them Monday to give them time to arrange things well delivery was NOT done on Monday but Tuesday and the drivers came and let 2 SOFA BROKEN AND PATCHED BOXES in my living room i called the driver to set up furniture and he said he was just told DROP OFF ONLY and told me they were easy to assemble, they did deliver for free however these boxes are heavy i called the store they said they would sent someone to take care of it but how long am i supposed to wait with the boxes in the living room and no place to seat ???? i had to take the sofas out of the boxes and assemble the sofas myself and was left with tons of cardboard and packaging materials which they came and pick up on Wednesday, the whole thing was just a nightmare, lots of apologies but overall performance was HORRIBLE. read more

I had not been in this store for a long time, as it was always a mess, and advertised items were not in stock. They have cleaned it up, but they still do not have advertised items. I went in at 9:30 on a Sunday, with the ad from my morning paper. I wanted the 35 pack of water, and planned to get several other needed household items as well. After asking for help from 3 different people, (2 of whom just pointed) I was told that they were out. When i questioned how they could run out so quickly, I was told that the ad actually came out on Saturday.They still should have had some. A decent manager would have made the per bottle price of the in stock 24 packs the same. I would have then gotten my other things. Not worth the drive and extra stop , as the rest of the center does not have good stores. I would rather shop where I know I can get what I came in for. read more
