I brought my tire in for tires and alignment. They immediately tired to sell me thousands of dollars of work and told me they could not align it. then tried to buy the truck off of me. 2,000 mile later I saw the front tires wearing very badly-the old ones had no issue- took it to another shop and they showed my were some one adjusted the tie rod on one side and gave it 2 inches of toe out. This should be no stars at all... but I am being asked for a star so there's one. I am not a mean person, I was patient to wait 2 hours... and I drove off and after 5 minutes my car was not fixed and I paid $300. So hear me out... I went to have my car checked and I was told about the only concern was the O2 censor replacement. And I was told that if I wouldn't have it fixed it can lead to a bigger problem. And so I went and scheduled to buy the parts and decided to visit once it is there. I came to have it fixed... And I paid $307, after 5 minutes of driving I still get the error and "Have your engine checked" ... I used my friend reader and it said O2 sensor problem... I am not sure if there was really a work done. I paid $300 for not fixing the problem... I was told to go to the dealer... And I was given a receipt with no notes to it and I was shown another receipt when I came back with notes to it... They don't add up, transparency wise... I felt like I paid for nothing... 5 minutes I am off the road and my light came back... And when I came back here's what I was told "I am sorry". I came there and paid in good intention to have my car fixed... Now it felt like it is hard to trust people and businesses nowadays are they really trying to hold your best interest...? I am sad when I left and I am confused. I just hope people work in good faith... but not today. I am unhappy. No stars at all. Five star service!!! I was in town and noticed I had a flat. I went in to have it checked out and was in an out in about an hour. There were 3 nails in my tire and in spots that could be repaired. Big O had me back on the road to Albuquerque quick and without charge for the repairs. I even enjoyed a fresh donut in their lobby area during my wait. Great prompt and friendly service. If I could give a lower review I would. I took the car in for an alignment and to check the motor mounts because the car vibrates a little. While it was there they busted a coolant hose and made up a story of how the coolant was spraying and leaking as I drove it when prior to that I would drive over an hour at a time and smelt nothing and saw no evidence of this prior to the hose pop. They wanted to proceed with a pressure test when they noticed it, this test is where a hose to popped to where they never mentioned the leak prior to bring it in and looking it over. It was only brought up when the test was done and the damage had already been done. At this point the car was not drivable when it was driving when it was brought in and commuting to work perfectly fine. Now I would have to pay for service or tow in order to take to different mechanic. Would not trust this place to give you a straight up good work. read more

I had ordered some air shocks for my 1500 Ram. After they were installed I had noticed the lines were routed horribly and just a big mess. I called Manuel and showed him the result of the install, he was so accommodating and fixed the line routing for the air shocks. Women are not treated very well. They will always try to sell sh@$ i dont need, you'll also wait longer and you won't be heard when requesting specific services. FACT! Came for new tires (2) and alignment. Wait 2.5 hours and no tires no alignment. Tires finally put on but nobody to do alignment???? Manager says come back for free alignment. Come back 4 days later. Again, wait 2.5 hours and still no alignment. Manager told me he would align himself when I returned but could not get off computer to follow thru. Asked for my keys to leave. Not how I want to spend my whole afternoon for simple alignment!! Big O is cool with selling and installing tires but forget alignment!!Our family buys all tires here for business and personal vehicles, toy haulers, flatbeds, sand toys, motorcycles....(10+). If I could give these guys 10 stars I would!!! We were on road trip across New Mexico and Western Texas and our rental car got a flat the morning of Tuesday December 28. We had reservations for Carlsbad Cavern that day and needed help quickly to make sure we got to our tour on time. We took the car to Big O Tires in Alamogordo and wow, what service! We explained our issue to the young man at the counter and he got our car in right away. It took about 20 minutes total by the time we arrived to the time we left to get back on our road trip. I have a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The shocks and tires needed replacing so I used Big-O. They recommended an alignment with the replaced shocks and I accepted their recommendation. The tech did not have an appropriate tool to adjust the alignment so I lent him one of my tools. I noticed he had the alignment wheel clamps resting on the tires not the wheel rims and questioned if it was correct. He assured me it was. The Jeep seemed ok at first. After 2000 miles we noticed some vibrations at the front. We rotated the tires and it was ok. Another 2000 miles, more vibrations. This time rotation didn't fix it but all 4 tires were showing serious wear. Eventually we realized they had messed up the alignment. We had to replace the now ruined tie rods and drag link and have the brakes skimmed and the axle seals replaced and a full new set of tires. Cost: $5000. Big O denied responsibility. Be careful out there people, they might seem competent and cheap but they can be incompetent and cost you a lot of money in the long run. read more

On our drive to New Mexico the Camaro started making that noise that tells you you need new brakes. We decided to have them looked at and spent over four hours at the Chevy dealer in Elk City Oklahoma. They said the breaks were shot all the way around and that the work would be over $1000. They didn't have the parts in stock and we didn't want to wait. We went to Big O tires in Alamogordo on a busy Saturday. Two hours later, after a nice lunch at the local restaurant they recommended, they handed us a loose piece of trim that was scraping the rotor. Total bill - Zero. read more

These guys ARE THE BEST! I'm a mom traveling across the country with my little girls to see the National Parks. I knew I had a bad tire and the others were sketchy. I decided to come to this shop because of the reviews. I AM SO GLAD I DID! Joseph and team were so caring, eager to help and did not take advantage of me. I had tires with an uncommon rim size... They were informative, I got into four new tires at a super reasonable price but most importantly they made me feel safe to continue driving back to New England. Joseph even took the time to call my husband back home and explain what was happening with the car. The mechanic who handled my car was helpful, explained things and acted like he cared too. We were vacationing over Thanksgiving in the area, and I noticed that I had a slow leak in one of my tires. Went to Discount tires, but they had a long line of people. I drove down to Big O Tires and not did they get me right in, pulled out a nail, plugged my tires and all in about 15 minutes. Heres the great thing, they didn't charge me. I went to get an oil change and they totally fucked it up. They didn't put the oil drain plug in right.

I would give 0 stars if a I could but there is no option for that. I dropped my vehicle off for a lift and new tires. They said they had open availability all day drop it off anytime I dropped it off at 1:30 pm they stated it would take about 2 hours due to us already having the back lift on so they only had to do the front. I called around 3:15pm to get an update as me and a friend stayed in town and noticed my 4Runner didn't even move! They told me they were still working on it which was a lie as it never even got moved. The least they could of done is been honest and stated they haven't gotten to it yet. So later that day I get a call stating it will take 4 hours due to the lift I guess needing more work than expected. They were nice enough to keep it the same price that I was quoted so that was nice. Well my tires were too big still so they had to put my original tires back on. I totally understand that has to be frustrating and felt bad for them. Anyways I go in the next day due to them working on it so late and yes what they have it to me with all the lights on and when I mentioned it they were like "oh yeah, those popped up this morning." Ok and they didn't think to try and repair it before letting me come pick it up? I am extremely confused as I have driven into town now and am waiting for my vehicle that was suppose to be ready at 10am. I am pretty understanding as things happen but when the guy trying to fix my light says "oh they didn't tell me it got a lift" like for real it's all about communication to run a good solid business. I also feel because I am a woman they thought I would just not worry about any of this but I have put a lot of money and hard work into my vehicle. I am really disappointed as the communication is terrible here and they lie. Don't know how their tire service is, but I definitely do not recommend letting them do anything else on your vehicle. They replaced my front cv joints at the rate of $465.00 to address a loud noise coming from the rear of my Jeep. When that didn't take care of the problem they offered to put the old parts back on, and I would have to just pay for the labor. "We made a mistake, have you never made a mistake?" I was impressed with the fair pricing for the services requested. All service was done correctly and in a timely manner with no add-ins. This store absolutely goes above and beyond the industry average of customer service. An example is a no charge tire rotation because I had gotten an oil change with the business in the past. Another is giving me a tire tread reader during a separate visit with a different vehicle. Jody and all the guys a Big O Tires are a huge help everytime I go over there. I was quoted at 2 different places for my A/C, both places said my A/C compressor had seized and was locked up! And the grand total to fix that at the other 2 places were over $2500.00 dollars!! I went to Big O's and they looked and right away told me the compressor was NOT locked up that they could see it turning. Furthermore they got my A/C working that SAME day!! All it was, was a sensor that had broken off due to accidentally hitting a jack rabbit. I LOVE this place they are straight forward and will NOT make you pay for something you don't need! I'm so glad I went over there. They saved me $2000.00 dollars in needless parts and labor!! Also the review prior to mine says not reccomended but it does say that when they were unable to fix his Jeep they did EVERYTHING they could to satisfy their customer.
