We love the tires but when we signed up for their credit card to get a $100 discount we did not get any info. We got home and got the info and found out they charge 2% of the purchase instantly. So my savings was pretty small, then they charged $3 for a paper bill. I found out all this and sent them a check the day after I got the tires. They still charged me all the fees even though they had received the check 2 weeks before they sent the bill. I fought with them on all the fees. They charged me a late fee for not paying the fees and I hadn't received a bill for them. After several calls and telling them their fees were wrong since the tires were paid off before they even billed me they finally took off the fees. I told them I have 5 vehicles and they have lost all my business. So their false advertising on their card has cost them about $5,000 in business. read more

Ouch! Went in to just have my tires rotated. Left $230 poorer. Car still isn't right, several warning lights are now on and I will have to take my car to my regular mechanic at Canon Tire to have it fixed. Don't know why Big O thought it was necessary to even gointo my car, remove the glove box to get the cabin air filter and under the hood , since I had just had an oil change and service done at CanonTire. Supposedly a part "failed" while they were doing unauthorized and unasked for "courtesy check" on my car. Their advice as I left (never to return) was, if the check engine light is still on, come back Tuesday. I feel like I've been scammed and left damaged by this company. Went in for an alignment and tires, told the tech not to put tires on if the alignment wasnt done. They put tires on anyway and never called me to tell me that the alignment couldn't be done, i wouldnt have had the tires put on and wait until they could do an alignment. Now im riding around on 1700 dollars worth of tires and no alignment and will have to stop somewhere along my 1400 mile road trip to get an alignment. Im so sick of over paying for incompetence! Fabulous service!!! A few miles out of Canon City, naturally while traveling, we heard a loud metal sound in the front of our Honda CR-V. We knew instantly what it was, because our other CRV had the same problem. A metal plate on front underside of car came loose. We pulled into Big O, which is right on the highway as you're entering Canon City. We instantly got in, they showed us we were right... Robin suggested that we allow them to remove the piece rather than take a lot of time here to get the piece straightened, and then replace it. Sounded like a great idea to us! We were out of there in about 10 minutes, and there wasn't even a charge, maybe because we use Big O in Colorado Springs frequently. Great place to service your car, and Robin was super!!! read more

Although I was surprised by the price of the oil change, James, the technician, went through all the point inspections, including rotating my tires that was included in the package price. They found my battery to be near its end and within an hour my car was cared for and I feel better and safer. The assistant manager, she was very kind, efficient, and friendly. My husband discovered we had a flat as he was leaving for work (night shift). We checked store hours online and had about 10 minutes to get there before the shop closed at 6pm and we weren't sure we'd make it in time. i called and spoke with a woman who assured me she would have a tech stay until we could get there. We arrived at 6pm on the dot. The employees greeted us kindly, welcomed us in to sit down while the tech took our truck to patch the tire. 15 minutes later, our tire was fixed and we were on our way! So grateful to find employees with such exceptional customer service! We will be back for all our tire needs! read more

Worst, most worthless tires I have EVER owned AND most terrible customer service I have ever experienced anywhere! I drove over 100k miles on my old tires without EVER getting a flat. I bought 4 Big O brand new tires and two of the tires had to be replaced due to flats (they repaired them as many times as they could) within the first 2 years. Then, I was under the impression that the warranty was for 3 years (says so right on the receipt) but when a 3rd tire went flat recently, they said they wouldn't replace it because now the tread is below 3/32nd of an inch. Yes, the two tires that haven't been replaced yet are darn-near bald after only 2 years and 8 months. Also, they said that they wouldn't honor the three year warranty because they said I missed one tire rotation last year, even though I have been faithfully getting the tires rotated every 5k miles since I bought the tires! I SWEAR they forgot to print a ticket or something because that would be the ONLY rotation that I would have missed. And while I SWEAR that I didn't miss a rotation, even if I did miss only ONE rotation, that's reason to completely void the warranty?!? I went to another tire store to see if I could get just two new tires, and they said that since my car is AWD all 4 tires have to be replaced, and in fact, Big O should have never put two new tires on my car with the other two being as bald as they were since my car is AWD. They said driving my car like that is probably damaging my drivetrain, and they recommended that I sue Big O tires for the potential damage that's doing to my car!! Every single time I went to get my tires rotated at Big O (every 5k miles) I had to sit for at least 2-3 hours in the waiting room because they are so freaking slow. Now, I have wasted ALL that time (like ~25ish hours of my life over the past 2 1/2 years) just to now have to buy four brand new tires from somewhere else! I have never been more furious, upset, disappointed with a product or a company in my entire life!!!! read more

I never leave reviews on anything. But, I just signed up to Yelp so I could post this. Spent 2k on new tires. Had to take my vehicle back the following day as the stick on balance weights were hitting the calipers, making noise and being torn off. No big deal, the next morning they took me in right away to fix... When I originally picked up the vehicle there was some minor scuffing on my wheels but I let it go... not sure what they are using to hold the wheel/tire on the balance machine but this time, when they rebalanced it really destroyed the finish on my high dollar wheels . I will drive the hour to go to Discount from now on. If you have a stock vehicle or don't care about your stuff you are probably OK here. I didn't have a problem with any of the personalities. But, I think this place is in BIG trouble when the new tire store opens across the street. read more

The worse Upset that I'm sitting at another mechanic because this place failed to do what was needed. I went in for a simple tire change and alignment. Had to wait hours, picked up my vehicle and had to take it back because it was obvious that they didn't align it. Management said that no one aligned it so had to wait more just for them to tell me that they couldn't align it completely but charged us full price. My current mechanic said my tire was barely on! They overfilled my tires and didn't put the dust caps back onjust to cap it off (...haha) Usually I wouldn't review or be so upset but I tow a trailer and it could definitely have cost someone their life. On our way to Salida for a quick getaway the skid plate under our CRV got loose and was dragging. Not much I could do about it while on highway without so much as a screwdriver in the car. When we got to Canon City, Yelp found the Big O for us. We use Big O for almost all of our vehicle work and have done so for decades, but never required work in Canon City before. Robin recognized the predicament we were in and immediately went to work resolving it. She had the skid plate removed, placed it in a large protective bag in the back of our vehicle with a smaller bag of the salvaged fasteners. She did all of this no charge. A little bit about the actual facility is in order. It is large, bright with a lot of windows and very clean. The work bays were immaculate and it appeared that they had all the latest in lifts and equipment. Robin accompanied me back to the service bay to show me the problem so I got a first-hand look. Wouldn't recommend it, but one could probably eat off of the floors. Plenty of parking, of course. Thank you, Robin, for salvaging our mini-vacation. read more

The experience started out great last week over the phone, ordering tires, making an appt., etc. Back story - you'll need this: On 4/10/21, I had a very experienced and long time mechanic go over my entire vehicle, bumper to bumper. Current events 4/13/21 0745ish I drop vehicle off for tire replacement and alignment - great no issues, call me when you're done. Less than an hour later, I receive a phone call "ma'am, your tire rod is broken, so we'll have to replace that to do the alignment." - funny, I just had an extensive, bumper to bumper inspection and that wasn't caught-weird, cancel the alignment, I'll come get my car. 0937 Show up to get my car with new tires and no alignment - "ma'am, I apologize they made a mistake, your tire rods are fine, we can do the alignment and I'll give you 25% off for our mistake." - great, how long? "45 minutes" - perfect, let's make it happen. 1047 - "we can't do the rear alignment, it needs a special kit for an after market bolt for the rear tires" - Here comes Karen!! Are you freaking kidding me?! I drive one of the most common midsize suvs on the road and you're telling me it's the first one you've ever aligned and didn't know you'd probably need that stupid kit?! I will own my loss of cool, I will not however accept braindead customer service and BS excuses one after another. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Have done business with the Canon City store for years. Buy all my tires for my personal use and fleet use. The last few times I 've been in the store for routine balance/rotate/alignment I was disappointed with the service. I talked with the store manager Jesse Talbert about the problems and he assured me it was a one-off. I've left the store twice without tires being balanced the last time and without an alignment the time before. Since this service is not what was promised I emailed Big O. They forwarded the emails to the local store owner who passed them onto the manager. The way the problem was fixed, the manager called me and said he would NO LONGER provide warranty service to me, Even though I had paid for the tires and service years ago. Instead of fixing the problem the manager refuses to provide service to the person who wrote a bad review about him. Now thats service isn't it? I'm not the only one with service complaints, sit in the customer lounge sometime and talk with people. Jim's tire in Canon City does not treat people like this. Consider anywhere else other than this store. You too may be fired if you complain about poor service. Wrote a letter to Big O Corporate and the parent company and have not heard a word from them. Well Big O Tires in Canon City has LOST our business for sure. We purchased tires and made an appt for 1p.m. on Tuesday the 1st. of Nov. Got to BIG O at 12:45 p.m. and were told that they DON'T take tire appt's, it's a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. The gal behind the counter pointed to the line of cars out front and stated that ALL these people are ahead of you, and you'll have to wait, but I'll see what we can do. She then went out to our Jeep to put a plastic cover on the front driver's seat, and I made sure to hand her our lug nut to unlock the tires. I SPECIFICALLY told her NOT to lose it cuz it was the only one I had. She assured me that she put in the PLASTIC FOLDER with the work order so it would be safe and accounted for.. She then took us down to the restaurant so we coud eat lunch while we were waitoing for them to change our tires. We stayed for an hour and had lunch. We then called BIG O to come get us so we could pick up our jeep with the NEW tires on it. We got back to BIG O and our jeep was moved to the back of the line. We asked if the tires had come in and were told yes and it shouldn't take to long, maybe a half an hour for them to get to our vehicle. So we went into the waiting room and started talking to people who were waiting for the same thing as us, they stated they had gotten to BIG O early to have their work done and were still waiting. I looked at the time and it was 2 p.m.. I went and asked the same gal what was going on and when our vehicle will be handled, she replied IT SHOULDN'T BE LONG there's only 2-3 ahead of you. My husband explained to this gal that he was in pain due to a surgery he had two weeks prior and he needed his pain meds. There again he was told it shouldn't take too long now.. Their WEB-SITE said they take appt's, the guy who called us back scheduled our appt. yet they don't take appt's? We waited to have the new tires put on from 12:45 pm. until they FINALLY pulled our Jeep in at 4:30 p.m. When they FINALLY put our vekhicle in to put the tires on, NO ONE could find the lug nut!! NOT in the bag, not in the glove compartment, NO WHERE to be found!! I finally went out and rummaged thru the jeep and found it. Then the work was done. We went to the counter to pay and asked what kind of discount they were giving us for having to wait all damned day, was told by the ASST. MGR that they couldn't give us ANY kind of deal and also stated that THEY DON'T TAKE APPTS' ON TIRE installation and that we were fed incorrect info. We then asked him why we received a COMFIRMATION email that said our appt. was at 1 p.m., he stated that was for an ALIGNMENT CHECK, not for the tire install. Funny thing, the ALIGEMENT guy left at 5 p.m., so NO FREE ALIGMENT CHECK. He then said the CORPARATE HEADQUARTERS has that on ALL Big O websites, but it doesn't apply to their store. DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!! We WON'T BE BACK for sure!! We will be finding another company to deal with, who treats their customer right!! read more

Damaged Front Seat - tech put the bare dirty wheel in front seat, punched a whole in seat Broke 2 lug studs off LF and RF hubs. Had to get 4 replacement studs This should be a very simple job. I supplied new wheels and new tires. Mount the new tires on new wheels balance them and put them on. The tech took my truck and performed the needed processes to complete the job successfully. The truck was coming out for delivery to my wife and I when she looked at the seat and complained about the whole punched in the seat. When I was in the auto bay the spare wheel rim was put on the front seat. I asked her to ignore it. One year later, I needed new tires again and when the process was starting, the tech responded that 4 log studs were missing and could not work on the vehicle. Big O Tires broke 4 lug studs and let me drive a 2018 RAM 3500 without any notification of an issue. The broken studs were the reason why the review is being submitted. I will NEVER use BIG O TIRES and I will continue to spread the recommendation that is WELL DESERVED in this case! read more

3 days prior to my scheduled appointment, I put a deposit down on 5 name brand tires. With the 8am appointment, I scheduled to have new shocks, struts, alignment, oil change and new tires. I was told the truck would be done at 3 pm the scheduled day. I arranged a hour long car pool and I dropped the vehicle off. I showed up at 3 pm to pick up the truck. NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE. I have not heard from this place on whether the tires have arrived yet. This is not what I expect from big o. They just don't care anymore. read more

Horrible service. I had two dash lights. Tpms and abs lights were on. Abs code was r f tire. Either bad bearing or bad sensor. Just bought this truck. I told them to check all bearings front end and drive train. They told me bearings were ok brakes were ok. Replaced all tpms sensors. They said they replaced the air sensor in the spare but they did not. Lie 1! They completely ignored the abs light. They could not clear the code for tire pressure. They lied again about spare tire sensor. Also I asked again about abs light and r f bearing they said bearings are ok not to worry. Well on my trip to Denver the r f bearing failed. Towed to brakes plus in thornton. They are replacing the r f bearing right now. And really checking everything. I may file a small claims suit because they have refused to be accountable and fix the problems as well they refuse to refund what they charged for what they didn't do. After doing my research all over Cañon City I found the best price here. A full set of high mileage tires was less expensive and warrantied better than other places. ( plus they were in stock) I was skeptical because I know they are a chain, but the staff are local people, neighbors to some, and they really gave the best they could. I love this location and still go back even though I've moved. They do their best to accommodate you, even offering to drive you back to work locally if you can't wait for your vehicle. I've gone in with a feeling and they will give more than a cursory look to find the problem. My only bad experience was still good, they took longer than expected but they took the time to track down a small leak others thought I was imagining. I will continue to make the extra trip back to Canon because I have confidence in them, that they will take care of my vehicle like it is theirs. read more

i needed tires for my for ranger, which is a rarely used farm truck. i asked for the best snow/all terrain tires they had, and the service tech had to special order them. well, it recently snowed and the tires are garbage. can't even get up my own driveway in 4wd with 2 inches of snow. my neighbor looked at the tires yesterday and informed me they neither snow tires nor all terrain, but standard highway tires. i put 1500 miles only on them and can prove this by odometer reading. i called the store and asked to speak with a manager and was told to leave a message. the tech i spoke to said it was aa mistake and of course they have better actual all terrain tires. i was willing to take a loss and even sell back the tires since they are brand new. i am amending this review. initially i had contacted an employee and was told i could not return the tires. a manager later called me and said of course i could. so my issue has been fully resolved and i am happy with the new tires. read more

I just needed two new tires and I didn't want a sales pitch for four. I worked with Michael who was so helpful. He explained the benefit of four tires but I just wanted two. My two tires were quickly replaced, they let me know minor problems and made sure all the tires had proper air. He noticed I had "tattered"wipers and suggested new ones. I said "yes" but I had no idea how to change them. Michael quickly offered to install them and off I went a happy customer. read more
