I called Big O tire and the dealership and they were both about $100 cheaper than this location. The service manager also tried to tell me that she was certain that the big tire did not offer diesel oil changes. I would avoid this place like the plague. If I could give zero stars, I definitely would. It's a shame too because Jiffy Lube is usually a good chain to work with. I will never be visiting another Jiffy Lube as long as I can.

I found out all this and sent them a check the day after I got the tires. They still charged me all the fees even though they had received the check 2 weeks before they sent the bill. I fought with them on all the fees. They charged me a late fee for not paying the fees and I hadn't received a bill for them. After several calls and telling them their fees were wrong since the tires were paid off before they even billed me they finally took off the fees. I told them I have 5 vehicles and they have lost all my business. So their false advertising on their card has cost them about $5,000 in business.

The next morning, The first shop we went to decided it was the water pump as the pulley for it had a slight wobble. The shop manager stated they hadn't replaced a water pump on our model van and his reference books stated that the engine needed to be pulled to replace the pump. They were too busy to take that big of a job on short notice and said that they could do in in a week. We didn't want to wait as we needed to leave Canon City to get back to Seattle. The shop manager provided us with the names and number of a couple of other shops in town and the dealer info in a town 30 miles away. We made the trip to Austin Auto and they confirmed the water pump needed to be replaced but they were booked a couple weeks out. Kevin the shop manager did state that he felt the water pump could be replaced without pulling the engine. We went out to our van to figure out another option. We were in the process of calling the dealer to check with them when Kevin walked out to talk to us. He said he talked to his shop foreman about the water pump replacement and the fact that we were in a bind and were supposed to leave the next day. The shop foreman had experience replacing water pumps on this type of engine and apparently took pity on our situation and said he'd be willing to do the work himself so we could be on our way on schedule. Kevin said they'd be able to have the work done late today or the next depending on how it went! Late the same afternoon Kevin called and said the work was done and we could come and pick up the van. We were ecstatic and so happy that Austin Auto was so helpful and efficient The 3 people we interacted with at Austin Automotive were super nice, patient and helpful in every way. I'm ranking this as the best experience I've ever had with any auto shop. Period.

This is unusual because it's never leaked in the past. It only has 42k miles on it. I decided I'd better check the oil level since some had obviously leaked out. The dipstick showed that the oil level was about 1/2" above the "full" mark, AFTER leaking maybe a half pint on the garage floor. Apparently the tech overfilled the crankcase when it was serviced. So, now I guess I get to deal with a leaking rear main seal thanks to the carelessness of Grease Monkey. There's also black grease on the driver's side carpet from their boots. These guys used to be conscientious and reasonably priced. I don't think they're any better than Walmart's Tire and Lube Center nowadays. I'm not going back to Grease Monkey.

We heard the tech say once our vehicle was complete they would be pulled in. We exited the vehicle and went inside. We noticed the vehicle that pulled in behind us was pulled into the empty bay we were told to pull in front of and our vehicle was moved into a waiting queue of another bay. When I went to talk the tech they said the other vehicle was there an hour prior and needed to get parts so we were moved and not told. Even late in the afternoon, they realized the predicament my friend was in and made the repair at a very reasonable cost getting my friend back on the road allowing her to safely make it back home before the snowstorm hit.
