My husband brought my 2019 Subaru Forester Sport in on Monday to have the tires switched. What should have been a routine service turned into an extremely disappointing and costly experience. When the work was completed, we were initially told that two lug nut studs had cross threaded. After inspecting the vehicle ourselves, it became clear that every lug stud had been cross threaded. Rather than taking responsibility for the damage that occurred during the service, the staff repeatedly insisted that they were not at fault. Ironically, throughout every conversation, they continually emphasized that Subaru lug studs are well known for being easy to cross thread. If they are aware of this common issue, then they should also be aware of the proper procedures required to prevent it. Lug nuts should be started by hand for several turns before any tools are used, and the final torque specification for this vehicle is 89 ft-lbs. These precautions exist for a reason. Failing to follow them can easily result in damaged studs. I first spoke with David, who repeatedly gave the same explanation without addressing any of my concerns. I then spoke with Micah in person and requested to review the security footage so I could see how my vehicle had been handled. Instead of taking my request seriously, he chuckled , answered the phone to help another customer, then returned and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment to have the damage repaired. I found that response incredibly dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I was quoted approximately $90 per stud to repair damage that occurred while my vehicle was in their care, bringing the estimated repair cost to nearly $1,800 for every lug nut stud . Fortunately, I have the knowledge and ability to replace the studs myself, so I am only spending around $100 on parts. Most customers would not be in that position and would be forced to pay an enormous repair bill for something they did not cause. I have documented everything, including photographs of the damaged studs and records of my conversations with the staff. What is most upsetting is not simply that the damage occurred, mistakes can happen in any business. What is unacceptable is the complete refusal to acknowledge the possibility that it happened during their service, the dismissive treatment I received when I asked reasonable questions, and the expectation that I should pay to correct the damage. I have never experienced such poor customer service. A reputable business stands behind its work, accepts responsibility when mistakes are made, and works toward a fair resolution. Instead, I was met with denial, repeated excuses, and a complete lack of accountability. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend this shop to anyone, especially Subaru owners. I will be sharing my experience anywhere I can in the hope that other customers do not find themselves facing the same unnecessary expense and frustration. read more

Disappointed & Frustrated If I could give zero stars I would! We had a deeply disappointing experience at Big O Tires involving the store manager, Samuelito Luna. Despite having a road hazard warranty, our claim was denied based on an incorrect tread depth measurement. Samuelito told my daughter to "go home and show her dad how to measure a tire," using a clearly inaccurate method that benefits the store. We have a recording to him admitting he told my daughter that! Samuelito Luna is training his staff the wrong way to measure tire tread!! YOU DO NOT MEASURE AT THE WEAT BAR! When my husband returned with her the next morning to clarify the mistake, the discussion escalated, and Samuelito refused to refund the cost. His only offer was that he might speak to the owner and maybe we'd see a refund next week. That's not accountability--it's deflection. Was my husband angry, yes, but he started the whole conversation calm but firm. As my husband and daughter were leaving Samuelito then proceeded to tell my husband, "Don't worry, I'll see you around". This experience has left us feeling misled and disrespected. Customers deserve honesty, not questionable measuring tactics and evasive customer service. We hope the owner chooses to take this seriously and restore some trust in their brand. DO NOT GO HERE! How hard is it to use the premium motor oil and the premium oil filter I've provided? I guess it's really hard!! I brought in a 5 quart bottle of Mobil 1 20,000 mile projection motor oil and a 1 quart bottle of Lucas Oil Synthetic additive with a Royal Purple oil filter and a new oil plug with a new washer. Nothing beats what I'm bringing into the shop here. It's much better than the parts they'd provide me. But, they turned my business away! They can't use customer provided parts. Oil and filter included. It's hard for me to comprehend bringing in better parts than they'd supply me with. They told me they would not use what I've provided them with. Absolutely crazy! The world is falling apart with todays business management. I just wanted to buy their labor. It's as easy as just listing it in the note section of the receipt, "customer provided the following..." My review now gives Big O Tires six 1 star reviews out of the 14 reviews given here. That's almost 50% of the customers reviewing Big O here on Yelp. That's just bad business and they are being called out for it. Treat customers poorly and one star reviews will follow. My money spends just as well somewhere else. And they will get a 5 star review from me for treating me like the great customer I am. I recommend everyone take a pass here at the Nampa Big O Tire shop! They get a big O from me!!! Your reply is understood. When someone brings in the wrong parts, then send them packing. But, when someone brings in the correct parts and better parts than you even would have supplied me, accept the work. That's not too hard to figure out, right?!? Fix leak, possibly oil. Big o said they fixed it but on paperwork didn't say what leak was fixed, didn't check fluids. It was still leaking when I got home. I checked my transmission fluid and it was completely empty. Had to pay 500.00 , for what? It was not fixed so why was i charged. my daughter took her car in for a tire rotation and within a few days told me there was a noise coming from the front driver side. when I checked I found that the lug nuts were barely holding the tire on. the noise was the brake rotor and wheel scraping during motion. when I contacted Big O I was told that they had recently fired multiple people, I'm sure just to pacify me. my story with this store begins last november 2022, I was having to travel thru heavy snow so i called around looking for tires for my dad's dually. I was quoted 2k and I arrived 2 days later and was billed over 2600.00 but I let it slide. In that we found out my dad had spacers put on to compensate for the width of the 315/75/16 copper tires ( I had no idea until tires where pulled, they could have stopped the sale and turned me away at this point but they did not). So Toyo tires where mounted and so out of balance the truck launched a hub cap across 84 narrowly missing a driver and smashing into the freeway divider so they ordered a new one and told me they could not spin balance dually rims after the fact. Here is where i get to learn about the crap shoot of balancing beads. I went back in and was told they had to get beads so we set a date later that week, I arrive for date and wait for it they do not have the beads and he has to run around to find some so I spend half the day waiting several days after they tried to spin balance the tires knowing it would not be reliable. A month or so goes by and I am forced to get more aggressive tires because the toyo's where worthless just pulling off of 95 last winter, nearly got stuck sevarel times but they mount the aggressive tires I brought in all the while subtling insinuating WHAT A PROBLEM THEY COULD BE. Again the get these tires also 315/75/16 tires balanced. I take in a 2013 Nissan murano for a frontend alignment and that well, so I bring in my 1998 Z71 1/2 ton 4x4 for a frontend alignment (it had new upper & lower ball joints and tie rod ends) their idea of aligned was set the tires so pigeon toed you could sight from front of truck and it looked like ears poking out of fenders. Their solution was to try to send me across town to another shop saying that their machine had just been calibrated and of course I laughed and said clearly not or the tires would be straight up and down parked with tired in forward position. I did not have time to chase around another shop to do what I paid them to do. Now we are past snow season so we return to the original copper tires they pulled off last year..........here is where the irony is staggering to me. They some how can't get the tires they pulled (which are still basically new and sat on their sides stacked inside all winter) balanced, the "manager" in fact tried to tell me it was an old truck (it is an '02 with 81,000 frick'n miles on it. Any 2015 service truck is sure to have more than double that mileage) and that it was as good as it would get because apparently wheels did not turn true in 2002 by his reasoning. As we are having this conversation where the manager works his butt off to qualify the failure they are in fact supposed to be mounting and balancing 3 brand spanking new 8 ply trailer tires. The techs in shop load those tires and I leave disgusted at this point and do not check the trailer tire work. I put them on around dusk and head out on a 560 mile trip in the morning and the trailer is all over the place, I get back from said trip and look of inside of the trailer at the spare (one of the new mounts,) and see zero weights explaining why the trailer had put me and everyone around me in serious danger. This in truth is where I hit the roof after months of excuses and incompetence to qualify it. When I pull in less than happy I then get told I have people in front of me in line (this is where I hit the roof and start yelling and cussing). I told the guy I spent over 4 fing hours in there monday and if they had actually done all of their job and balanced them I would not be there at that point. The sad fact is I had to act like a person I work hard to not be to get them to do what they charged for. Now the rear tires of my extremely low mileage truck are still out of balance, the frontend of my chevy is still pigeon toed like crazy...........and I would not volunteer to spend money in that shop even under threat of death at this point. They have single highhandedly ruined 32 years of Big O loyalty. I personally recommend avoiding this shop if your time and serenity is of any value to you read more

Worst tire store ever!! If I could give a negative rating I would! -5 I had confused OK store in Twin with BO store in Nampa. Took my 2016 one ton dually to get tire rotation. Chose BO because l accidentally mistook them for OK being the same store. Paid to have my tires rotated! Watched as they removed and dismantled my tires and then huddled around their balance machine trying to figure out why they did not have the correct Center cone to machine balance the tires they had already dismantled. They then lied and said the only way to balance my tires was with beads and that was better anyway. As soon as I drove off the lot my front end shook. I turned around and returned and asked why my front end was now shaking. They said "oh the bags have not broken". "It will get better"! So I drove all the way to Nevada and it shook all the way their and all the way back. So bad I kept stopping to see if the lug nuts were loose. So today I brought it back to BO tire Nampa asked to speak to the manager and requested they fix whatever they had done. He immediately started looking for a way to not have responsibility. Said that it was the fault of the tire. When I insisted they make it not vibrate like it did when I gave it to them he said it would be 3 hour wait time. 30 min later he called and me and said he was going to refuse me service. Then he denied ever dismantling my tires or remounting them. He denied putting beads in them and said all he did was rotate them. Which is odd because they were all mounted black wall and are now mounted white letters out! This manager and his staff are incompetent and unprofessional to say the least DO NOT RISK taking your tire care to these liars! You will be sorry! God knows I regret it. Fully! read more

I bought 4 tires for my 2018 Chevy Silverado PU on August 2019.I have 23,606 miles on these tires. I had the oil changed at the dealer and the tech said my tires are showing wear and needto be replaced. I took my PU into BIG O today, I brought my paperwork from the purchase in 2029. I spoke with salesperson, Chris, who said that I shouldn't have rotated the tires myself (on the paperwork I received when I bought the tires it said only "Free rotation for life of tires" that is the only mention of rotation! The new estimate sheet now says "Rotate recommended every 3K-5K miles. Warranty may be void if exceeding 5K miles". (Still no mention that one cannot rotate the tires themselves). Chris quoted me a price for new tires and would give me only a prorate of $15 a tire. So a total of $60 for tires that need replacement after 23,606 miles and according to Big O are supposed to go 40K-50K miles (their figures!) Of course, I will not be purchasing new tires from BIG O, ever again! Poor quality, poor customer service! Lost my business as well as any positive referral. read more

If I could give this business negative stars I would. I took a car in for work on Wednesday. Later that day they said it would be Thursday. Thursday they called and said it would be Friday because the guys were hot and they could not work as hard. Then I went in today Friday to pick up the car and when they handed me the bill I asked to put it on our account as I have done for the past year. The young boy that was behind the counter kept repeating we did not have an account. I asked him to consider that he might be wrong and he arrogantly and rudely said no. I paid the $1844 and the boy behind the counter flung the invoice on the counter so i picked it up and left. When I got back to the office the "owner" had called and said they did not want our business because i was screaming and yelling at their counter boy. This tells me a few things, the boy behind the counter is a dishonest, the owner does not realize there may be 2 sides to a story and last but not least, the owners behavior tells me there is a culture in this business that the customer is not right nor do they want to hear what a long standing customer has to say. THE WORST THING IS THEY HAVE A BIBLE PASSAGE ON THE WALL GIVING THE IMPRESSION THEY ARE A BUSINESS OF FAITH. I bought a truck from a dealer that has new Big O tires. So I thought I would go and have a leak fixed and the tires rotated. On a Saturday. The tires were rotated but the leak wasn't fixed. I took it back Monday. Waited about 30 minutes to have them fix the leak. That tire still has a leak. They charged for the flat repair and not the rotation. This place is a Great place to get your vehicle serviced! I found this repair shop when it was All Automotive 2 years ago just by accident. My first visit I was skeptical about what service and prices I would get seeing how I like to DIY everything. The manager, Chris, listened to my problems that I was having and worked with me above and beyond what I expected. The service performed was great at reasonable prices. Everyone that I've had contact with here has always been Very Nice and Professional as is their work. Now that they are Big O Tires you get Great deals on tires also. Don't waste your time coming here to buy tires. Discount tires has significantly better customer service! They fixed our issue and went above and beyond even though it wasn't their original problem. We purchased tires Dec 10 2019 from Big O and on Feb 9th one of the tires' belts separated causing the tire to explode. Instead of replacing the tire as it was clearly a mfg issue they said they would take $5 off a replacement!! $5!! After continuing that the tire is less than 2 months old they dropped it $20. They said that we drove on the tire flat which is what caused the tire to explode. We drove it far enough on low tire pressure, not flat, to air it up. We had friends in town that work at corporate and they couldn't believe they wouldn't replace the tire. Needless to say I WILL NEVER buy tires from them again! I had been buying tires from them for 15 years and my parents even longer. Neither will be buying from any Big O again. read more

I dropped off my 2021 nissan van and specifically asked nicely if they could make sure the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) was calibrated so the light would not be on. I was automatically shot down by the lady at the desk (not sure her name) telling me the van automatically calibrates and not to be mad at them if I picked up the van and the light was still on. I informed her that is not true because I own 3 of these vans and they do not automatically calibrate. These vans need to be hooked up to a specific piece of electronic (tablet) that will calibrate the tires. I picked the van up and asked David if the TPMS was done. He turned around and asked two of his guys that worked in the shop if the light was on. Their response was I don't know. David then proceeded to check me out without being concerned with my question or at least, having someone go out and check. I drove the van 5 miles, light is still on. Checked tire pressure when I got home and the back tires only have 50psi of pressure in them (factory specs=70psi). I spent the next 30 minutes calibrating the TPMS, after putting the correct air pressure into the back tires. Not great service. Sorry for the bad review but these issues, if resolved, will make you a better service center. read more

I will never go to this Big O location. Had a vehicle towed to this location to get some repairs done. They denied service to this vehicle, which was a little surprising but ok. We informed them that we would need to arrange a way to get the car as they would not work on it so it still couldn't be driven home. The vehicle was parked at the far end of the parking lot not blocking traffic to or from the business nor hindering customer parking. When we were able to secure a way to safely move the vehicle we called the business and let them know we would be getting the car by Tuesday or Wednesday of that week. They said they had moved the vehicle to the back of the building. We showed up that Wednesday just like we said we would and the employee on the phone agreed with to find out they had the car towed. Then proceeded to lie by saying they had left a voice mail on the number we left when the phone number they had on file does not have a voice mail set up yet. I could have understood if we had not shown up on the date we told them but not beforehand. And don't let me get into how they speak to you. If you like to be spoken down to or have your vehicle called a piece of shit- literally!! Then you will love this place. They do have 1 front office worker that was not rude or disrespectful unlike the owners son. read more
