I have been a customer of (Eagle Road) Discount Tire for 5 years. I have purchased at least a dozen tires from this store as well as mag wheels for my truck and have always considered this store a solid merchant, to the point where I could have purchased the same tires at Walmart and saved money, but felt Discount Tire, while pricier, was trustworthy. Today, my wife (again) hit a curb and blew out a front tire on her Subaru. I responded out with a floor jack and removed the ruined tire and took the wheel/tire to Discount and ordered a new $212.00 tire. Three hours later I got a call from them telling me the new tire was mounted and ready to go. I paid the $212.00 and took the tire to the scene where the car was sitting and when I started to put the wheel and "new" tire on the car, I noted that in white paint on the inner sidewall was handwritten the name "Hansen"! Clearly this tire had been owned by someone else (named Hansen) so I mounted the wheel on the car and headed back to Discount Tire. The staff swore this was a "new tire off the truck" but had no explanation how someone's name happened to be painted on the tire! I asked that an actual "new tire" be ordered and installed and the managers said no, this IS a "new tire off the truck" (This phrase was repeated at LEAST 5 times during our increasingly heated conversation).. I'm not an idiot - I have been buying tires and working on my own vehicles for 60 years and have never seen any NEW automotive accessory with someone's name painted on it. Obviously Discount tire pawned-off on me if not a used tire, at the very least a previously owned tire. Had this tire been installed on my car at their shop, no one would have been the wiser, but since I installed it myself at a remote location I noted firsthand that this tire was previously owned. My advice? Steer clear of Discount Tire on Eagle Road! read more

The person who helped me order new tires was very nice. However the wrong tires were ordered. By the time I got to my appointment a couple weeks later my tires were leaking air at a rapid rate and going flat. When they discovered the wrong tires were ordered all they did was put my old flat tires back on and they sent me on my way saying they would order new ones. Nothing was done to ensure my safety while their mess up was fixed. Luckily Big O Tires was able to get some of the same tires brought into their shop that same day at the same price. For the last three weeks I have been dealing with this store after 25 years of using Discount Tires as the only store I purchased tires and wheels from. I've loved this company but very disappointed in this individual store. They ordered wheels and tires even after I said the tires looked incredibly large for my vehicle. When they came in they were too big so then they talked me into a smaller tire that was no different than what I had on my Sprinter with 12,000 miles. Then we switched back to smaller wheels and finally I told them to forget it. 3 weeks lost without getting wheels and tires. I'll be calling corporate on Monday! read more

This store has made a significant fall in customer service and reliability. First time around, I buy wheels and 37 inch tires. 3,000 dollars worth, to be exact. Black rhino wheels, have a plastic center cap, and it falls off, two days later. They can't even answer the phone, when I attempt to let them know. Actually, maybe they would have, but I gave up a after two attempts, and 20 plus minutes, trying to just speak to anyone. So today, just realized I needed my tires rotated, due to leaving on an unforeseen, last minute trip. Knowing that I do not have days to make an appointment to have this rotation done. I instead attempt to call this location, and see how long the wait time for a basic tire rotation currently is. With now an additional two attempts at trying to reach a person, it is now 15 minutes later, and somebody finally picks up. I ask this person, how long for a tire rotation currently, wait time? He says you're looking at about 40 12:55 hour. I said I can do that. I literally, live less than four minutes away. I immediately go there. There is not one Clark on the phone, there is not one customer in line. There are a few customers sitting in the waiting room. The clerk now tells me, I am looking at an hour and forty five minutes to two hours. But I figured this was a good place to just remind you, and anyone else who is looking at using discount tire on Eagle Road. That you guys suck. So I asked for the manager. I actually called after I had left the building without having any work done. And I was told that the manager would call me back in 10 to 15 minutes, due to being with another customer. Great value on a set of tires. It's a long wait to get them mounted right now due to the season. The two men at the front desk were amazing. Great customer service. I ended up calling back because they filled my tire to 47 PSI which is dangerous. The girl said there were new guys on the shop floor and she would talk to them. The shop floor was like a circus. The guys were young and talking loud jokes to each other (yay for for fun environment) but not a good look to customers who can hear you. Today I got a flat tire on eagle, totally sucked. Luckily I was right across from discount tire. So I come here for a replacement...They didn't have my tire size so they sold me 2 smaller ones for a little over $150. Cool easy fix so I can get back to work. Well driving to work I had CRAZY shaking so I come back in, they rebalance the tires and say if it's still happening see a mechanic. NO it's because I have two different tire sizes. Then I realize my glasses which are less than a week old and were over $300 are missing, so I call and they say they don't have them....Kinda fishy how they can just disappear? When I know they were in the vehicle. Anyways lesson learned, don't do business here!!! Now I am basically out $150 for a set of tires I can't use and a pair of glasses. :( read more

All the way from the initial consultation I guess I'll call it ... even though I already knew what I wanted ... the manager guy who checked me in was genuinely interested ... asked all the right questions ... never told me not to put the oversized tires I wanted on my 4runner ... offered to even try it before they proceeded with the full install. Now I have 34in tires on my rig ... with no issue ... all the staff putting them on were absolutely amazing too ... offered nothing but encouragement even though I and they knew I would have slight rub ... nothing a little bit of angle grinding and razor trimming didn't solve. We took our car to them yesterday for a flat tire and tire rotation. It sat there all day, was finished right at closing. Said there had been a nail in the tire they "fixed". This morning same tire is flat. So not only did they not fix the tire, but they did not rotate the tires like they were supposed to. After waiting to get our car back for half a day and having it come back in the same condition we will not be return customers unfortunately. read more

First time they over torqued the lug nuts and my wheel came off while I was traveling on the interstate at 80 mph at night. I was stranded on the interstate for 4 hours until the tow truck came. Then had a 2 hour drive back in the tow truck. My tire and rim were destroyed so I had to get a rental car until parts came in. I took my car back to them to have them fix it. They paid for everything to be fixed and reimbursed me for the rental car. Then, I had them put winter tires on last month. They put the wrong type of lug nuts on. The wheel fell off again and ruined everything. I expected them to take responsibility for the damages. They denied everything. I am now in a rental car again. I gave them multiple chances to fix their mistake and to take responsibility for their negligence. With repairs and the rental car I am now out $15,000 and have wasted so much time!!! I am not sure if they are rejecting the claim this time due to tire rack purchasing discount tire. Anyways, there is not excuse for negligence especially when placing people in danger (I had my 15 yo in the car). Discount Tire has no integrity. I am not sure how they can sleep at night knowing they place people in danger due to their negligence and poor business practices. My advice for Discount Tire: Train your staff the right way and treat your customers as if they are your own family. read more
