I've had bad luck with this location, but thought I would give them one more try. Absolutely awful. I made a appointment to bring in my vehicle to get tires put on the vehicle. I only had a hour on my lunch break. The staff moved at a snails pace and seemed inattentive. They were asking me about a oil change when I brought my vehicle in for tires. I specifically told them I did not need a oil change and I was there for tires. The person I was speaking to took forever and seemed to be in his own world not at all paying attention to me the customer. As a result, I had to get a Uber and pay $40 to go down the street in order to be back in time to clock in. When I arrived the next day to pick up my vehicle, I was told that a oil change was done and the tires did not need to be changed. I specifically mentioned that I did not need a oil change. I was so upset. The inspection not only showed a alignment needed to be done, but that the tires did need to be changed. Two other shops said I definitely needed tires. I don't know why this shop is so out to lunch, but every time I've gone there, there has been a problem. I recently went to the 7th St and Camelback location where I was able to get my alignment and 4 tires installed. They went above and beyond and made me feel valued as a customer and listened to. read more

My daughter had her car towed to shop for not starting, windows and radio were working. Big O diagnosed, put in new battery. 440.00 charge. 155.00 to have diagnosed 47.00 for labor, 30 minutes, at 155.00 per hour. 200.00 for battery. I had a flat tire on 4/16/2022 and I called Big O Tire while AAA was on the way to see if they could help me, they stated yes, as long as you are here by 5pm, we can get your tire changed and get you on your way. When I arrived about 3:30pm to their location, about 30 minutes after calling, they stated that they were to busy, and I could leave the car there till Monday, and they would work on it then. I contacted Discount Tire, asked the same question, and when we arrived there, they had me in and out with in 1 hour. I was referred by 1 of my best friends / x-wife, to this particular BIG O TIRES #4231, 2420 W. NORTHERN AVE. PHOENIX, AZ. 85021 (602) 536-6886. Majority of the times I've had GOOD experiences with them when it came to them servicing my 2009 Toyota RAV4, oil changes and inspections. Whether it be CUSTOMER SERVICE related, vehicle service, and pricing, I've been able to get a good "BANG for my Buck." This location knows how to keep my business with their friendly and knowledgeable Staff members. The staff members that I've met are some of the coolest guys working there. Plus they love country music from the 90s - early 2000's like I do. Every time I wait for my car to get worked on, I end up meeting someone really interesting in the lobby and the conversation makes the time go by fast. Of course I'm the one that's doing most of the talking. Lol, but I just came in to get another routine oil change, and as a Lyft driver, chauffeur, I wanted to make sure that I take care of my Toyota I bought from my Father before he moved back to NY. It had 76,000 miles on it 2021 and now it's got 120,700 miles. I called Big O in advance and spoke with Henry, who started about a month and a half ago, at the time, which he knew the manager, Taylor pretty well. At one of my last visit to Big O, I had an issue with my car, after the oil change was done, where my dash lit up like a Christmas light, Taylor made sure it was taken care of right away. So far, that's one thing I can tell you about this place, if something goes wrong, whether it be on the customer's end or their end, they make sure that it's taken care of right away before you leave the parking lot. But it's always a good ideas to check & make sure everything's good with your ride before leaving the shop. Granted, people make mistakes that's fine but patience and understanding is how you get through it. I do not mind traveling far to get good service, especially good customer service, and good people. I have been to a few Big O Tires whose customer service was sub par; I mean they had me driving all over the city to fix a simple problem. THIS location was responsive and timely; I was in an out within 30 minutes on a Saturday. Henry is the best! He got me in, spoke to me with words I can understand, and helped me fix my issue. I had this big o do an oil change on my car ,I was at a big o Thay were unable to get me in so I called this Thay made an appointment for the next day 10 Am gave me a price it was the same as the big o I go to, when I got there Thay said there was no appointment , Thay did change my oil and changed more than what Thay quoted did not rotate the tires, or reset when the next maintenance would be due,I asked the manager to do it the person who wrote the ticket had an attitude, I'm unsure weather Thay even put a full synthetic oil in , if your looking for for good service and a place you can trust do not go to this Big O tire. Set an appointment online to have new tires put on my vehicle, when my appointment came I went in was told they didn't have my tires and had to order them. I had to wait 3 more days to get my tire's mind you I scheduled my appointment on a Monday for that following Wednesday. Now we are at a week of waiting. No apologies no discount for waiting nothing. Well got my tires on 3 weeks later got a flat, took it back was told I didn't have a warranty on my tires and that I declined it at perches... I showed paperwork that I got the warranty they said it expired. How does a warranty expire after 3 weeks???? Anyway they told me again they had to order the tire 2 days later I had to pay for a new tire with another warranty... Still no apologies... read more

Absolute terrible. Called before and was told to fix a nail would be 24.99. Fine of course not big deal as I've done this before although discount doesn't charge anything but figure if I pay, they will be done in timely manner. Brought the tire and 5 hours later still nothing was done. When i decided enough is enough, the clown started to pick up a fight claiming i yelled at his employee which i did no such thing. I was pissed and expressed my frustration specially when they've had my phone number and could have called not leaving me stranded. Than he claimed tire was unfixable. I went in for an oil change and knew i would potentially need new tires. I went in with a tp sensor light on and despite your team replacing my tires and supposedly at least one faulty sensor, my sensor light is still on. When I went back in they reset the sensor light but didn't address the issue instead giving me a laundry list of sensor codes and telling me to go to the dealership as there was clearly something wrong and they couldn't handle it. I just got back from the dealership having shown them the codes which they explained were historical voltage codes from when my battery was replaced and the actual problem was either a damaged tp sensor or your folks didn't actually train the sensor they replaced. Needless to say I am ticked off at the waste of my time and mileage and still have this light going on in my car despite having 4 new tires that your team handled. I feel this store has the worse experience always charging me every time I got in for something minor the first incident happened when I went in for a oil change and they were trying to charge me for a oil panel because they couldn't get the bolt off. Come to find out they stripped it with the gun instead of using a hand tool to take of the bolt I was very upset they almost made me lose money. The second incident happened when I went back to check for my tire warranty and they didn't even bother to look at my tire they where just going off what I told them and again also telling that I was probably going to have to pay for sensors for my tires I was angry and furious at this point and come to find out they didn't even have the tires I needed and where going to send to a store in happy valley that didn't even have the tires ether. So I went to a location in Glendale it's right off of 51st ave and Peoria also a big o tires and the man was very nice and understanding and wasn't already charging me out of my pockets he said the only thing wrong with one of my tires was it had a screw and just needed to be patched up and add air at this point the store on northern is really going down hill and it's a shame how those employees suck money out of people appreciate the guys at the Glendale location read more

DO NOT GO HERE. i dropped my car off @ 1pm for a simple oil change they told me it'd take 2 hours. so i called @ 3pm the 2 hour mark & they told me another 25-30 minutes. so i got there @ 3:45pm & my car still wasn't ready it was sitting on the rack. i sat there until 4:15pm and i got upset & went inside. they were giving me a hard time so i walked outside & walked out. i was then followed by a worker named Taylor out to my car. he proceeded to call me a b*tch, when i said "what did you call me" he said "you can't prove i said that" so i recommend DO NOT recommend going there unless you want to be insulted. it was very unprofessional & very offensive. read more

Came in for an oil changed and I called ahead of time to check the wait. I was told they were "slow" so to come on it. I was there before the time frame I gave them and waited an hour and a half to get the oil changed. Two customers who were there after me were done before me. When you're slow and it's still taking an hour and a half is just to long. I won't be back at that location again read more

The customer service there was great! Best customer service I ever gotten! I went in for just a few things but turned out I did need other things done for my safety ! I did not feel they pressured me into getting it fixed like normal Mechanics do. For the amount of stuff I got done my pricing was still bearable . I had scheduled an oil change three days in advance, I was early to my appointment which was at 7. When I got there they took my car back and maybe an hour later they came to the waiting area to tell me there was gonna be a wait because they didn't have my oil filter at this location. So for an oil change I waited two full hours. Just a waste of my morning. read more

My daughter had a 3:00 pm appointment. She showed up and was told her appointment was at 9:00 that morning. She had two emails confirming her appointment; no email saying anything about 9:00. Taylor, the person supposedly in charge clearly sucked this out of his thumb. I called him not at all happy. He made no apologies and made no effort to fix the issue. All he could do on the phone was talk about my bad day and the personal problems I must be having. He is my problem. Then they told her to come back the next day and wear the same clothes so they would recognize her. Seriously! This store doesn't deserve one star, but I had to put something. 2420 W Northern Ave: Went to this Big O yesterday to get an oil change. They said it was a 3 hour wait but that I could make an appointment, so I did make an appointment for today. When I arrived today at noon, they told me it would be a 3 to 4 hour wait. I said, "But I made an appointment," and was met with a shrug and the comment, "That was for dropping off." After an hour wait, I got discouraged and gave up. My husband told me, "Don't trust them," and I guess I don't. With all the controversy surrounding small service outlets like this (charging for services not provided, claiming to repair things that don't need repairing) now in my mind this business is in that category and I feel that maybe I dodged a bullet by leaving. This is how small things roll up into hardened little balls of shit that maybe mean more than they should. read more
