I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. It was a Saturday and I needed a new starter in my van. My family and I were on a road trip and I called about 20 places and either they weren't open, closing early, or had no mechanic (or was leaving early). But after I explained the situation ... this Big O said they'd try to get a new starter in same day and ...... THEY DID. Within a few hours even. Great folks! Worked hard to get me back on the road. This last spring break, 2023, my family and I were driving back from an amazing hike in Zion National Park to ski (for the first time) in Park City. I which was made inconvenient and sketchy driving down the wind, the mountain roads with our surprise flat tire. Because it was Easter weekend, and it was time to change all four tires anyway, I other shop could get the (I guess) somewhat specialty tires for our BMW X5, which required two different tires in the back, than the pair in front. As we were visiting from California and staying with our cousins in St. George, at the least, we wanted to get out of there on Monday as to not inconvenience with more than an extra day crashing at their place, to get on with our vacation. After calling around to several different places, we finally came across Jared at Big-O-Tires who, with instituting the help of his coworker, Skyler, was willing to do the surprisingly painstaking work of searching every single available set of tires, separate front, separate rear that would arrive by Monday. True to his word, they did. Skyler made sure I got out of there before noon on Monday and my family was safe to drive and enjoy the rest of our trip. I called at least 10 places to find a place that could help us figure out want happened and not wait until Tuesday because of the holiday. Over spring break this year I got a rental car from Las Vegas. Somewhere on route 15 to Saint George I got a screw in the back driver side tire and needed a quick fix. Pulled into Big 0 they got it out patched/plugged and had me back on the road to Zion in no time for next to nothing. My family and I were in the camper on our way through Utah from Yellowstone when our front tire began to separate. We nearly had a blowout. Nick took care of us within a couple of hours and had us back on our way home. I should also mention for the bonus star that this was a dually we were in and Nick did not try to sell me six tires. What a refreshing and pleasant experience in these sad and difficult times when customer service and professionalism are almost extinct concepts. Every service I requested was preformed in a timely and completely professional manner at a fair and affordable price. A big Thank You to the mechanic that performed the work and to manager Lonnie Nelson for doing what he promised, when he promised and for the price he promised. If I could give negative stars I WOULD. They took advantage of my wife so badly! We went in to get new tires and they decided to add on warranties we never were informed of and replaced our battery which we never discussed because we literally got a new one 2 months ago. They treated my wife like crap in person, extremely rude and take advantage of women. They made her wait for two hours and never let her know when the car was done. And when I tried to sort the matter out, they came up with the excuse that there happened to be another car exactly like ours, which there wasn't, and had gotten the tickets mixed up, also a lie. I would not advise anyone to go there, unless you want to spend an extra $500 read more

I attempted to make an appointment to get the oil changed and tires rotated (which I purchased from Big O). The "customer service" man that answered the phone told me, and I quote, " we don't make enough money on oil changes and free rotations, so we don't do appointments for those services ". Really? Buyer Beware! I had a diagnostic check at a dealership and decided to save money on labor at this Big O. I dropped the car off and asked for one sensor to be replaced in the location the dealer found. I was called later that a second sensor had broken after replacing the first. I told this shop NOT to replace the second sensor. When I went to pick up my car, they had installed the second sensor anyway and the bill was double. I told them to remove the sensor and put the original back in. They decided not to charge me-that was the honorable thing to do. I called the dealership and they explained that it is impossible that by replacing the broken sensor and recalibrating that this would cause a second sensor to fail. Make sure that you understand exactly what really needs to be replaced before you trust their word. read more

Came for an oil change. Been here almost 2 hours. Was never told how long it was going to be till I went up and asked after it had been an hour... at that point, my car hadn't even been pulled into the service bay. Then the guy says "busiest time of day on the busiest day of the week". If I had been told that, I wouldn't have stayed. I would've gone to Jiffy Lube. But it's my dad's car and this is where he goes. Never again. read more

Minus 5 stars.Had to go twice for the same botched repair job.Total waste of time and no apology.They blamed it on a "bad part" they put in the first time.Really? The reality is different.They didn't change the part at all to begin with,but just billed me for it,the mechanic's work was sub par if they did,either or both.The staff don't know how to say "Thank you" or "We do apologize for wasting your time". Very disappointed for a normally good chain of tire shops. After expressing my apprehension about getting wheel damaged on my Volvo during repair (since I recently experienced some while getting a tire fixed at a smaller non chain location) the customer service rep quickly brushed off my fears and took the key to a tech to get the job done. I asked the service rep if he could just acknowledge with the tech that the wheel being worked on was in perfect condition prior to starting and he through a little fit. He walked out to my car and asked the tech to get out and he gave me back my keys and said "we don't want to work on a car with someone watching us like we're going to damage the wheels"...... All the employees are very quick to take a call and inform their customer that they "aren't" busy. Update: the tire had been done for a while and the manager never informed us. Picked up a nail on BLM land while camping. Drove on the spare to the nearest Big O and was thrilled with the service I received. They were able to patch the tire, mount it and put the spare back under the truck. No charge to me. I am a longtime customer and that service may be limited to previous customers. When I explained who I had scheduled the appointment with, I was flippantly told he wasn't at work today. The (flippant) staff said they would fit us in but it would be a 3 hour wait. No thanks. Greeted by utmost professionalism by general manager "Lance" who said "No problem, we will get you taken care of right now." In and out in 90 minutes, all fixed. Excellent experience! Traveling from California to Wyoming with a 30 foot trailer full of a friends belongings. Spent the night in St George and woke to a flat tire. We noticed the tongue height of the trailer was too low also. Put some air in the tire, purchased a new receiver and headed to Big O. Besides fixing the tire immediately, they volunteered to Change the ball from the old receiver to the new. No charge for the extra service. What more can you ask? read more

I was disappointed as this is my 3rd set of tires from Big O. I bought 2 sets here in St George and 1 set in California. This time, after I bought a brand new set, within 2 hours I had a flat tire. Apparently I hit a nail and the tire was ruined. I could not believe this could happen in 2 hours after buying a brand new set of tires. Because I didn't have their hazard insurance, Big O would not cover the tire as the tire was ruined. So they made me buy another tire. The manager Lance said he gave it to me at his cost - $207, but I had already paid $223 each. Really? He said they don't make a lot of margin. He did not charge me for the labor but I was shocked that he would not cover the tire. All my friends said they go to Discount Tire because Discount Tire would have covered the tire and they treat their customers really well. I did call discount tire and they said they were surprised Big O didn't cover it. They said if it happened within 2 hours of buying a new set of tires that they would have covered the tire. So I am now a fan of Discount Tire and no longer a fan of Big O. I also finally decided that I should call Michelin and they agreed to cover the tire. Michelin has GREAT customer service! I am now a Michelin fan. Their tires seem really good so far. Bottom line, I'm disappointed in Big O and will try Discount tire next time I need a new set of tires. I was told to go to this place by my tire guy in my home town. I had a flat and thought it would be a good time to purchase new tires, maybe even a full set if I got a good price. I asked to speak to the manager and was told he was on the phone and to either wait or he himself could take care of me. I just said I had a flat and was told to talk to the manager to see if he could give me a good deal. This guy said he could fix the flat for free. I told him I was willing to purchase tires also. He took my keys, fixed my flat, and sent me on my way. Very cold and to the point. I felt like a pesky fly. Was he helpful. Yes, fixed my flat. Could he have sold me tires? Yes, if I had been treated like someone who had the money to purchase tires. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! They are not honest and do not stand by their work. I went in for a tire problem and was told I needed new brakes. I didn't feel good about it but got the brakes. 11 months later, 11000 later I start having brake problems. I take my vehicle to my mechanic he looks and says it is a defective brake pad. The pad has come off and is rubbing metal on metal. He tells me to take it to Big O since it will be under warranty. Long story short, I take it in and they tell me it is many other problems and it will cost me $827! I take my vehicle back to my mechanic who changes the brakes for $288! They were very rude and condescending! Not to mention complete liars and scammers! There are much better places in St. George and I suggest you find a different one than this one! read more

The most AMAZING business. While coming back from Lake Powell in route back home to CA w two trucks, two trailers w two jet skis each our friends spring broke on his truck. I called Big O Tim said he could for sure help us. This gentleman went totally out of his way and they even stayed almost two hours past business hours to make sure it was done and done correctly.
