I am an established customer. Spending $1800 on tires and other work in December. I went in to get a head lamp replaced. I You Tubed it and know what the effort is. When I tried to explain which one it was and showed the tech he told me he had to pull the tire and remove the fender. I said " isn't that a big job", he said "yes". I took my keys and went home and changed it in five minute according to the You Tube video. I should have not been so lazy. Removed a few T20's, bent the cowling, removed the dust cap and changed the bulb, Don't waste your time, I felt that I was being taken advantage of. read more

I purchased four new tires at Big O Tires on N Lincoln Ave in Loveland about a month ago on the 15th. I had written this review at that time but never got around to posting it. I bought these tires on a Monday. I'd been coordinating with Troy (who seemed like a manager) since the previous Friday. He was friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout. I originally planned to come in Saturday but couldn't make it, so I called Troy as a courtesy to reschedule for that Monday. He said no problem and told me to bring the car in by 5:15 PM--we'd get it done that day. I rushed to arrive right at 5:00 PM to try respect their time, what little I could. Unfortunately, Troy wasn't there when I arrived. The technician I spoke with seemed put off when I said I was there to have the tires installed that evening, almost like it was an inconvenience. They did agree to do the work, and it took about an hour. When I was rung up, the total came to just over $1,004--about $20 more than Troy's quote. I didn't make a fuss; I just wanted to get home with my new tires. As soon as I hit the highway, the car started shaking badly above 60 mph. When I inspected the wheels at home, I noticed the driver-side tires were missing wheel weights. The paperwork also recommended an alignment--even though I'd just had one done the previous Friday.(I don't think they even checked) I was extremely disappointed and didn't want to return to that location. Thankfully, another Big O Tires branch fixed the balancing issue quickly and professionally at no extra charge. Overall, my experience here was not pleasant. I'm grateful they squeezed me in late, but the lack of attention to detail--especially on brand-new tires--could have caused serious problems if I hadn't noticed. I'm sure this was probably just a one-off; the reviews here are generally decent, and I likely caught them on a bad day. Troy was the bright spot; he was genuinely helpful and communicative. He's the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. .....Maybe I'm being a little too generous with my rating, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. read more

i've been a customer for a few years and took my van in today with a slow air leak on the rear tire. i didn't buy these tires from big o but they found a screw in it patched it up for me and didn't charge me anything. i will definitely shop for tires here next time i'm looking for new tires. read more

I have been a long-time customer of this shop. Purchased a few sets of tires. Today my one-year-old car had a low tire. (Turned out to be a nail.) Took my truck in to get my dually tires rotated, dismount and mount again. They ripped the bead on my tire while mounting, replaced the tire with a worse used tire that didn't even match and said it was my problem. We always buy our tires there; have regular services performed; replace shocks, struts, and breaks; and have the axel service on our pop-up camper completed annually. As a female I'm always leery of any kind of auto shops when I need to come in for repairs/maintenance/etc. I feel respected and like the guys that work there are honest with me, and not trying to upsell me. Customer service at this location is the worst. I went in for an oil change and once my car was backed out the techs working on it ran into problems with my car not starting and having all the light on the dash come on. They couldn't figure out what was wrong. They wouldn't communicate to me about why my car was now not working. I got push back from all the guys here because I got upset by them not communicating to me about what was going on. A car is someone's property, you need to talk with the owner about what's going on and not ignore their concerns. I would expect anyone would get upset about that. They then let me leave with my breaks acting up. I got a shoulder shrug and have a good day. I would never trust these guys. I'm still trying to figure out what is going on with my car after these guys gave me an oil change. My car was acting just fine prior. read more

Being a long time customer, I would expect to be treated a little better than what happened yesterday. Having an issue with the tires I had purchased from this same store. They were not at all honest with me about what was going on. I have been a mechanic for over 42 years and tires are something that I know quite a bit about. Both of my front tires were worn down on the inside to the point that they needed to be replaced and given that I also know that you really don't have to have an alignment done every time you drive to the store, I figured that the tires were still under warranty as they only had 20000 miles on them on 75000 mile warranty tires. Anyone who has ever been involved with tires should have known that a belt had broken and had caused most of the tire wear and in time change the alignment as well. But instead of looking at the tire and seeing this, they only wanted me to purchase new tires and then pay for the alignment as well. So I will never purchase tires there again. read more

Big O Tires Michelin special-DO NOT BE FOOLED! Last July I took advantage of their "special" and got 4 new tires for my Toyota Rav 4. Paid $900 and was happy with that. I used Big O in Boulder and Lafayette for 30 years and NEVER had a problem. Got a flat on I-25 in November and AAA came and rescued. Note my car is driven less than 500 miles per month so these tires had less than 2500-3000 miles wear. Took car immediately to Big O Loveland and was told they had no spare Michelin tires and also could not find one at any of their stores. They made me purchase 4 new tires at a cost of $800 and I got no credit for the 3 perfect tires. Their attitude was basically "tough luck" call Michelin. I did reach out both to Michelin and through Linked In to their CEO. Their response, call Big O. After more than 30 years I will no longer be using Big O as there are many other options where they stand by their product and actually give a s**! read more

When a counter clerk will not honor a warranty and refused to look up the invoice on their computer system, this is a violation of Breach of Warranty and false advertising. Then when his Manager perpetrates the fraud by making false accusations against a customer who had just spent almost 1 grand on new tires, one must look at these con artists and wonder why did we ever do business with them? I had made a appointment last week to get my oil changed. Also told the guy at the front desk I had a few more concerns. Dropped car off got oil changed. All good. Said that I needed brakes. I agreed. Got brakes done drove away. Driving away, my car is making an awful noise. I turned around went back. They checked it again. Needed a wheel bearing. Plan on a Super Long wait in their comfy waiting room chairs. Note, that even if you have an appointment you will be there for at least an hour minimum. Today I have been here 45 minutes with my vehicle untouched. HUGE TIME SUCK!! Make sure you plan your day accordingly. You may be here for quite a while. Maybe drop off service would be preferable. They do good work! They usually have the tires you need in stock. If they were more timely I would give 5 stars! However, these days, time is money!! read more

The representative quickly reviewed them and I settled on a BF Goodrich brand. The tires were reserved, I immediately drove to their location as a "walk in," and I was serviced in under an hour. (The representative even explained the rebate offered.) Was a night and day difference from the Longmont location. Short-cuts! Won't be returning. Used to use Big-O as a teen. I'm a Peerless customer. Drove by Big-O today because they were open. I arrived at 430pm. They close at 5pm. I was concerned my tire pressure light has been on. I am a flight attendant and drive to Denver Airport daily. So being concerned of a nail = blow out. The tire pressure was fine. I had been hearing the sound of a thud-thud which indicates a nail (past experience). Since tire pressure was okay they wanted to send me on my way. I was insistent on taking each tire off and check for nails. I gave them the VW lock lug-nut to remove each. I literally watch them raise my car off the ground. They spun each tire and lowered the car. When he gave me back my keys I asked for the lug-nut. He had to look for it. Which tells me (as I witnessed) the car's tires were never removed as I had asked. He was a very quiet spoken man, very difficult to understand. I know it was 30mins until closing. I get everyone wants to go home. But customer service should be the same at 0700 as it is at 459pm. As a female, mid 30s, I felt I was treated differently because it was 430 and you could tell they wanted to take short cuts and a young female won't know the difference. I watched and won't be back. BUYER BEWARE!! 1.Made an appointment on a Saturday to get my brakes/rotors replaced for the following Monday. We were quoted $299.00 plus tax. We were told it would only take an hour. 2. Showed up, and the person cannot find that we made an appointment. 3. Waited for a long time....20-30 minutes...still no work is being done. 4. About 3 hours later work is finally being done. 5. After all that.......we were charged over $600.00. The person that quoted us then informs us that is was PER AXLE. We had no choice, we had to pay it. I have taken my vehicle to a combination of both of these in northern colorado 8 times to fix a wheel! I am sick and tired of no one being able to do their job! Do NOT take your vehicle here for anything, if started with simple tires/wheels and because they didn't put them on right I have had to replace the entire front end! We bought Faulken tires from there. They didn't do an alignment they did not write down milage at tire installation. So when the tires wore out in less than 6 months they told me contact the company and they will prorate them. I received no help from Big O tires and no help from the company. Big O basically said sorry about your luck. And since they screwed up the manufacture said tough luck. Save your money and go somewhere where you can count on them doing there job correctly. read more

After struggles with my local Big O store on the western slope, I stopped by the Loveland store while on a trip. Trey and his crew were great! They repaired my "unfixable" tire and got me back on the road without trying to sell me new tires or any other hassles. Ripped off!! I searched for a deal on an oil change and found their $20 deal good until the end of February. Called to make appointment, but was informed that deal was only for Denver. Theirs was $29.99, made the appointment, showed up on time and 40 mins later my car was done with their typical suggestions for more repairs that my car might need. But even though they said they were taking $10 off, the oil change came out to $38. Basically, what they got from a few extra dollars is losing a customer and gaining a bad online review. If they are dishonest about a lower cost service then what about a more expensive one?!! read more

I wouldn't trust this place to put air in a bike tire let alone have them fix a vehicle. Owner of the place, Troy, doesn't care about customers and has any oh well that's how things are attitude. Brought my car in for an alignment and they told me I needed to buy a camber kit. They had to order it but once its came in it dropped the car first thing in the morning when they opened. Around 4:00 I hadn't heard anything so I went to see what was going on since they had the car for almost 9 hours. When it got there they where working on the car. After waiting another hour they said it was done but they didn't put in the kit because they ordered them wrong one so they installed a bolt. That didnt make much sense but I wanted to be out of there. Driving home I noticed I now had a pretty loud squeak that wasn't there before. I called them right away and they said to bring it back when it could. Do I did the following week. I went right when they opened and after waiting an hour they said the mechanic wasn't in yet but should be in 30 minutes. After waiting another 2 hours my car was still sitting outside so I got my keys and left. Troy ended up contacting me a while latter and I told him my story. He convinced me that i should bring it back. I took it back yet again and they told me that I had worn out bushings causing the noise and that they couldn't get them because the bushings weren't made anymore, which is a lie. I told him I didn't think the bushings where what was causing the noise. He called the mechanic in and they mechanic said, "I know what I am talking about" then went back into the shop. So they ended up putting the car on the rack to show me. They said the camber kit looked great which I stated that's interesting considering it was never installed. So they told me I should get a second opinion. In that process the mechanic started to swear at me and tried to fight me. I talked to try about it and he told me that was the help he has and basically oh well its my problem but I should still give them my business. What a joke of a place. I contacted corporate and they didn't really care either. I hope this place goes out of business. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give a negative 10 stars, I would. My car was in need of a great deal of maintenance. I showed up without an appointment. They were able to get me in that day, but that is where the good service ended. My car was at the Big O in Loveland all day as I got tires, brakes, rotors, an Alignment, shocks and struts. The work was done on Saturday and on Tuesday, three days later, MY WHEEL CAME OFF MY CAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING. My front, passenger tire disconnected from the tie rod. When the tire came loose, the tire were pointed toward one another and my car came to an immediate halt. Thankfully, I had exited the interstate a half mile before the wheel disconnected from the tie rod. Big O FAILED TO PERFORM TO PERFORM THE SERVICE PROPERLY. THEY DID NOT PERFORM ANY SAFETY INSPECTIONS AFTER COMPLETING THEIR WORK. The manager of the store also made no attempt to contact me to apologize for the dangerous incident and complete negligence. DO NOT USE BIG O IN LOVELAND. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT AND NEGLEGENT. read more
