We watched people sing happy birthday w a giant slice of strawberry shortcake. Great portions! We ordered the judges plate and added the burnt ends along w a small side of sweet cream corn. The food! Cornbread was on point! Not grainy, overly sweet, or dry! Soft, not bitter. Champion beans are delicious, smoky, seasoned just right. Mac & cheese!!! OMG! It's just right!! Creamy, full flavor, and not bitter. Sweet cream corn, I mean, you should try it, ask for a small sample so you can decide! Burnt ends!!!! You cannot leave this place w/o trying them. We added it for an additional $4 and it was worth it! The brisket had a nice smoke ring, full of flavor. Soft and not dry at all! Juicy. The chicken fell off the bone. Tender. Well seasoned. The pull pork was perhaps my favorite. On its own it was delicious but adding some of the world champion sauce and the spicy sauce together just took it there!! Pretty solid barbecue! I ordered a 1 meat tray that came with 2 sides (I did broccoli and bbq beans), a cornbread with whipped butter, and some chips. Lots of seating around! I came in for a late lunch and service was quick. A little too quick though... I was in the middle of my meal and the server brought the check over to me BUT NOW ON TO DISCUSSING THE FOOD! The burnt ends were delicious! The broccoli and the bbq beans didn't quite meet the mark for me though. But the cornbread and that whipped butter tied it all back together for me! If you're anywhere near Oklahoma City, Clark Crew BBQ is worth a stop. You can smell the barbecue before you even walk through the door which is always a good sign. The layout is well thought out, with a convenient entrance for to-go orders and seating available while you wait. As you walk in, you're greeted by a long entryway lined with their awards, and it's clear they take pride in what they've accomplished. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the experience stood out even more when the manager personally stepped in to seat us instead of making us wait. That level of involvement says a lot about how they run things. The food was amazing! The burger I really liked, it was cooked just as I asked and had a good smoke flavor even if it wasn't cooked on a wood fire grill but a flat top. The brisket was great, the fries and I have to say I didn't hate anything. I absolutely loved everything. Even the strawberry lemonade was delicious. I liked the sweet competition sauce but their original kc sauce was just right with its peppery sweet taste. This place was amazing and reasonably priced when it was opened originally but now it's been purchased by another, it's lacking. Smaller portions with bigger prices. The up charge of $3 on most meats people order on top of the already high price is a joke. Don't get me wrong, the food is still good but my gosh. Wooooowwww, so we were on a road-trip from Los Angeles to Chicago and my mom mentioned how OKC has some really good BBQ and I needed a break after driving for so long and I cam across Clark Crew. The parking was so easy in a huge lot, it was pretty busy but we went on Father's Day and regardless got seated super quickly. We ordered the three meat tray- brisket, ribs, and sausage, along with BBQ beans, mash potatoes and potato salad, and cornbread, and two side salads. Clark Crew was consistently rated high when I searched for BBQ in OKC. After living in Houston for years I like to see how other cities stack up and they didn't disappoint! I couldn't just settle on one protein so I ordered the 3 meat tray with lean brisket, ribs, and burnt ends. The burnt ends were on point, ribs were cooked really well and the lean brisket was tender. They had a variety of bbq sauces that complemented them all well. All the sides were amazing. The mashed potatoes were smooth and buttery while the baked beans had a nice kick to it. Can't go wrong with the cornbread which was like a mini loaf of goodness. It wasn't too busy during the weekday and I was able to walk in without a wait. You're able to get a visual on the smokehouse from the parking lot and it gave a unique curb appeal that carried over into the interior. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town! One of my favorite places to eat in all of OKC. No matter what I order I am somehow surprised with how good it is. I've tried to get something different each time I've been to try and catch their weak link, but haven't found it yet. BBQ? Excellent. Especially the chopped pork. Sides? Burgers? Salads? All top tier. This most recent visit I tried the fried catfish which was deliciously light and crispy and full of flavor. Even the tartar sauce was great. I think they have magicians in the kitchen. Does every review mention the cornbread here? Look, it's cake, and I mean that in the best way possible. Make sure you eat it or your friends will disown you. This place is always poppin'. If you're here at peak times, there may be a wait, but they will get you seated pretty quick. It's great for lunch or dinner and the service is always spot on. An easy 5 stars from me. read more

I'm not exactly sure why it's taken me so long to review Clark Crew, because it was one of the food highlights of my very first ever trip to OKC last fall! I actually heard about it while doing what I do best: eavesdropping. As in, eavesdropping on another traveler in the same rental car line as I was, asking the attendant who had the best BBQ in town. I instantly saved Clark Crew on Yelp and found time to head over the next day! Their menu was so extensive, I had to enjoy half of my frosty pint of beer while I decided on a combo plate. Folks, this thing was immense - a heaping pile of meat, sides, and their legendary pickles. (Don't forget to ask for the pickles!) To be honest, it was too much. I could barely get through half of it before sheepishly requesting a to go box so I could wolf down the rest later at my hotel. And yes, the BBQ was delicious. A great combo of smoky, smooth, and rich. If I hadn't been carry-on only, I would have grabbed a couple of bottles of their sauce to take home. The service here was over-the-top amazing, too. Clark Crew continues to be my favorite bbq restaurant in OKC. They are consistent with their flavors and textures of the meats. They have some of the best mini cornbread loafs as well! I don't normally like sweet beans but theirs isn't too terribly sweet plus it has chunks of smoked meat in it. Only down side is the price. They charge more for brisket and ribs now. This BBQ joint has an adequate private parking lot. The dining area is huge. There is also a full bar with seating. The bar area has televisions, as most do. You will find a huge patio area here as well with some seating that is covered and some that is open. The open part has corn hole and a few other outdoor games to play. This restaurant serves all the classic Q including ribs, jalapeno sausage, brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends and chicken. This place can host multiple large groups. We had a group of about 20 and there was another group of about 20 there with us at the same time. One of our servers, Tiffany, was awesome. She was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Most of the staff was also friendly as well. I ordered the Okie Brisket Cheesesteak. I got a side of their Championship BBQ Beans and a cornbread to go with it. Considering the size of my group, they were able to prepare my food quickly. It was under 10 minutes. It was not the best barbecue that I have had, but it was good. I really liked the cornbread. It was moist, sweet and flavorful. The beans are not you tradionall baked beans, as the named implied, but they were tasty too. The sandwhich wads ok. Being a Texican, I judge all BBQ based on the brisket. Although the brisket had good smoke flavor, it was a little dry. Otherwise, it would have been a 5 star. The chopped pork was very good with the same smokiness, good flavor and was moist. Most everything else was good except on the sweet side. Baked beans with bits of pork were good but on the sweet side as was the corn bread. My coleslaw was heavy on the mayo with a hint of sweetness. My wife loved the cream corn which was very similar to how she makes it with corn off the cob but, again, on the sweet side here. Her burnt ends were more of chunks of brisket but not from the end. They were moist and tasty. Had the 50/50 tea which was still sweeter than expected. Even the sauces were on the sweet side. Need a tangy option. Portions were ample but the meal was pricey. The restaurant was clean and comfortable except for the volume on the piped in music. Our server was very informative once we indicated it was our first time. First time coming here and I'm a big Bbq fan. I grew up in the Carolinas , also lived in Texas , and now live in Las Vegas where we have a ton of Bbq restaurants. I've tried almost all of the ones in Vegas and they are mostly a mix of Texas Bbq and St. Louis Bbq. We did have a Memphis Bbq restaurant years ago , but it was awful and way too salty. Most of the Vegas Bbq places do good brisket and ribs , but nobody is the best all around. My son and daughter in law came here a couple months ago and sent me pictures and told me about it. I came to visit them in Mustang the first week of April and we came in and got a table full of stuff. Ha ha. They were really excited to see how I rated everything. They really like it. The Brisket Chili was really good and came with Cornbread that was big and moist. I hate when you get that dry oven cooked cornbread that falls apart. The Chicken Wings were really good and didn't need any sauce , but a dip here and there in the ranch is fine. The Bbq Pig Skins were better than the ones I've had in Vegas. Good flavor and crunch. Burnt Ends were good and not overcooked like some places do. Ribs were very good with no sauce. I tried all 3 of the sauces and they were all very molasses strong which I didn't care for at all. Maybe a little in the bbq sauce , but the sauce was black due to so much that was in it. I've never seen black bbq sauce. I think the Competition one tasted the best and my son liked the Spicy one the best , but I just couldn't eat it. Brisket was good , but not great. It's hard to find a place that makes great brisket , but I've found a few. Pulled Pork was just average. I love the Carolina Whole Hog Pulled Pork with the Vinegar Based Sauce and I can also do the Mustard Vinegar Sauce. Even some Texas Style Places can do Pulled Pork good , but not usually real good and with the Tomato Based Sauces. The Mashed Potatoes were real good and the Mac-n-Cheese was okay , but I'm not a big Mac-n-Cheese guy except for this one place in Vegas that does a 5 cheese one that is the best I've ever had. My daughter in law liked it a lot though. The Bbq Potato Chips were pretty good also. The Hot Links were not bad , but I wish we would've gotten Jalapeno ones , but my daughter in law doesn't like spicy. So we got the regular ones. I know I'm more of a critic than most and I'm sure lots of people love your food. I hope you don't think I'm talking down of your restaurant. I just put it above average. I do like the decor and our server was great , attentive , and really nice. I like the back patio and there was a live 2 person band playing for some guests outside. Living on the west coast, it's hard to find genuine, well-executed bbq. So a visit to America's heartland is a great excuse to find some! And Clark Crew has some excellent offerings. Caveat: I can't rate restaurant or staff, as this was an Uber Eats order. I'll be focusing on the food. I ordered a 3-meat plate, and chose brisket, ribs, and burnt ends. My sides were house chips, baked beans, and corn bread. The brisket was definitely a 9 out of 10. Smoky, with a beautiful smoke ring, pull apart tender, with good bark. Flavor was excellent, and made even better with a little dip of their spicy bbq sauce. The ribs were a 10 all the way. Deliciously seasoned, NOT overdone (just the mildest of nibbles to free the meat from the bone, but not fall apart sloppy), and perfectly smoked. The burnt ends were a 5 for me. I like a good bark, a little extra seasoning, and a more glazed/tacky finish to give them a real meat candy finish. Clark's were smoky, but mostly fat, very little bark or seasoning, and no sweetness at all. The only other thing that deserves special mention were the baked beans. Next level! Definitely from a closely guarded recipe, with multiple varieties of beans, ands smoked meat bits mixed in. What I liked was these beans weren't super sweet like most, but had a nice balance of other flavors that were complimented by the sweetness. And you could actually still taste the beans! All of the above was had for about $40 not including the delivery fees. Sorry no pics but you know how it is with food deliveries. Guess you'll just have to go take your own! read more

Man, After having some disappointing BBQ at another restaurant, I am so glad we found this place! Thank you to the uber driver for this place. You the real MVP!! The server recommended the deep fried pickles , and I was hesitant. I have had deep fried pickles in the past, and they usually suck! The pickles are usually over battered and not crispy at all. Our server was so sure we would love them and said if we didn't she would take them off the bill. No need! They were amazing!! These pickles were....insanely good. I tried one, and ended up eating all but 4. Sorry to my wife! They were thick, crispy pickles. A slight sweet hint since they brine them in sugar , and a hint of mustard with a delicious crunchy outer layer. I am not sure what it is but it reminds me of the crunchyness of corn flakes. So damn good!! My chicken was exceptional. It literally fell off the bone! My pulled pork was good, and my sides were all gread. The corn bread was really good. Not as good as the one from the crappy bbq place we had , but still great and the food here is much better. My competition baked beans were also amazing. Driving from Kansas to Texas and stopped here on the way. Phenomenal service, food and ambient. Our 5 kids raved over the burgers, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and bbq sandwiches. We had the ribs, brisket, rib tips and jalapeño sausage and holy smokes everything was delicious!! Asked for a side of onions and pickles and they weren't the traditional kind. We tried this restaurant for the first time about a year ago, and every single staff member we interacted with was surprisingly rude. At one point, we asked our waiter for something and he just stared at us, said nothing, then turned around and walked away. He eventually brought what we asked for, but again didn't say a word before walking off. The whole thing felt incredibly awkward. There were no kids with us, no issues with our order, nothing that should've caused tension. We ordered plenty of food and still left a generous tip, but the experience was so unpleasant that we've never gone back -- and don't plan to. Another review from me after eating on 4th of July. We were so glad they were open and seated after about 10 min. This is our pickle place,! Waitress started good but got the feeling we were being too much trouble. That's what a tip is for......service. We order the fried pickles that are so good that come with 1 ranch cup. If my 2 yr Grandson is with us, we ask for the little complimentary cups of sweet pickles too. Daughter ordered a Pineapple pizza this time and asked for Ranch dressing. Small cup was not enough so asked for more since pizza was a good size. We love Deviled eggs too. I ordered the Champ sandwich, good but meat a little fatty. Someone at the coffee shop this morning recommended this spot, and after checking out the solid reviews, I decided to give it a shot. Walking in, the decor gave chain restaurant vibes, but I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Starting with the so-so: the ribs were just okay--not bad, just didn't stand out. But the sliced brisket was juicy and packed with great flavor, and the smoked turkey was also really solid. The baked beans were a total win--rich flavor with bits of what looked like pulled pork and sausage, and just the right touch of sweetness. Mac & cheese was super creamy with a nice milky taste. The bbq is solid and the service is even better. Ashleigh was attentive, patient and knowledgeable of the business. We got multiple meat trays. A single , double and a triple w burnt ends, pork ribs, smoked bologna and beef brisket. I will say .. the pork ribs and bologna were superior. I've had this place on my radar for a while, and I was in the right place at the right time, so I got a couple of combo plates to take home. CJ was our server at the bar area at a hightop. He mentioned he was a college student and was newer to the area, and had not had to eaten outside the area. We ordered the 2 meat platter, Brisket and ribs with a side of coleslaw and baked beans. The meats were perfectly smoked, the St Louis ribs were just so well smoked they clung to the bone but came right off with a little tug. I added the spicy BBQ sauce for extra flavor. The brisket was mouth watering with the right amount of fat. The baked beans were loaded with just the right flavors and it had shredded pork in it. We thought we were done and the manger Richard stopped by to check on us and insisted that we try the burn ends which were so juicy I don't know how they so it, and also a side of there creamed corn and a side of chopped pork, more shredded then chopped and equally as yummy! Then we were graced with a pecan triffle. oh my was that so good to end a nice lunch with!
