Came out today to look at sneakers. Second time this year that we have visited this location, because our last visit went very well. Anna C helped us today, getting us into a couple pair of shoes to see which ones fit best. I needed a pair of darker color shoes so that I could get away from my dress shoes during the winter months. Super friendly, professional and helpful in getting us in and out of the store within 30-35 minutes. I visited the Alpharetta store after a coworker recommended it for its running shoe fitting service. When I arrived, there were three employees in the store. Two were helping customers, and the third approached me but offered no assistance. A few minutes later, I watched the same employee actively help another customer, including bringing out shoes to try on. I ended up finding a pair of shoes myself and completed the purchase only because I had already spent time driving through traffic and didn't want the trip to be a complete waste. I told the cashier I was disappointed with the service before leaving. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations, and I doubt I will return. read more

Remember when this was a people business? It must've been an off day, but I came in easily ready to buy several things. I left without that much because the guy at the counter was far more concerned with whatever he was doing on the computer than developing relationships with customers. I get that a lot of people will probably say "just browsing," but I think it's still important to ask "what brings you in today?" I left with the body glide and salt pills that I guess I came in for, but I could've been talked into more things for my upcoming race. The earliest date for BiB p/u @ this location. Getting inside of the store was EZ & it wasn't a mad house. Very organized;-) The Atlanta Track Club has got this BiB p/u on lock. They had greeters in front of the store & if Ur missed there's another layer that has their iPad in hand & asks what Ur BiB # is. If U have no idea, they'll help U out. Reason Y I noticed their organization was that when I registered, there were no more W/S shirts so I had to choose M/S. The ladies who were handing out the BiBs & Shirts were so kind to advise me that if my shirt was too big that I can go to another receiving table where they hold all of the shirts that have not been assigned to BiB numbers. Easy Breezy! After trying to purchase running shoes online, only to have to send them back because I did not like they way they fit, I decided to FINALLY stop by Big Peach. I've been running 5ks and 10ks in ATL on and off for over 15 years, so I am very familiar with Big Peach but just never stopped by. I've been running consistently for the last 18 COVID months (repurposed my morning commute time). And I am now very conscious of what I like and dislike about running shoes. When I walked into Big Peach I was greeted immediately and asked what I was looking for...Me: wide toe box, high arch, lots of cushion but not a high sole. I was brought 3 different shoes to try on. I liked 2 of the 3 and opted for Mizunos. In and out in less than 20 minutes which is less time than trying to find and compare shows on-line. You can spend hours in the Big Peach if that's your thing. The track is cool and they have much more than just shoes. But I appreciate that they also accommodate the shopper who wants to be in and out! read more

Went here to get my daughter fit for sneakers to join her HS track team. Chris was a tremendous help and knew exactly what to look for in he stride and cadence, as she did pronate some. My wife has been a runner/walker for many years, and I recently decided to start hitting the road with her. Since she needed a new pair of proper running shoes--and I needed my first pair--and because we're new to the area, we needed to find a place that hopefully provided both specialized service AND practiced COVID-19 safety. Big Peach came through on both! I was especially impressed with how willing they were to ensure we found the RIGHT shoes. Even after we found shoes that fit well, looked good, etc., additional pairs were brought out for us to try, just to be sure we were getting the absolute best shoes. Pricewise...well, let's put it like this: You can buy athletic shoes elsewhere for MUCH less. But that said, and as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." The hubby and I went in with the intention of buying Hoka running shoes for him. The staff members were very helpful and knowledgeable. I didn't get the staff member's name but he was very very helpful. He had the hubby demonstrate his running style and recommended the best shoe for him. He told us how each shoe was different and the pros/cons of each. The hubby tried on about 4-5 different shoes. He didn't try to upsell us which was refreshing. He spent a good 30 minutes on us. I love Big Peach Running Company, and I come here for all my running needs. I have purchased several pairs of Hokas for myself and my Dad from this location. Not only do they have a great stock of running shoes at this location, but Wade, the store owner, can answer any question you have about running shoes. He has worked with me every time to get the best type of running shoe that I need. He is so patient and spends a lot of time with whoever he is helping. One time the pair of Hokas I wanted was out of stock in the entire south east and he searched his database to look at the rest of the United States for at least 30 minutes to find a store that had them and could ship to me. Now THAT is customer service! The store also has a track in it that you can run/jog on to see how the shoes actually feel. He also introduced me to Oofos, which are the best recovery flip flop ever. I had such a positive experience getting fitted for shoes by Bryce today! I was almost 3 sizes bigger in shoes than the ones I had on. No wonder my feet felt cramped in there! Parking was so easy and the store was very visible from the street. Bryce showed me a video of how I walked to show where I needed more support in my shoes. He was very knowledgeable and personable and he wanted to make sure that he was getting me in the perfect shoe. My foray into running began about 4 years ago when my bestie and I decided to start running with 5ks for no particular reason. After our first 5k, we ventured into Big Peach Running Co where we spent nearly an hour trying out shoes. The end result? We each walked out with a pair of shoes and we started signing up to run races like crazy. The service here is incredible. They take the time to help you pick out the right shoes from using the cameras to watch you run on a treadmill, to them tirelessly bringing out shoes for you to try on and test on the runway.. For me, my running affair began with a pair of Saucony Guide 4s. These lasted me for a while until I realized the traction was gone. Since then, I only come here for shoes. I've switched to Brooks but I'm back to the Saucony. They keep records of the shoes you've bought so you don't have to remember what you specifically bought before. Shoe technology will surprisingly change, so going with the same shoe each year may not be the same. I haven't really experienced the other Big Peach stores but I'm a real fan of this location. read more

Finding a good run shop that not only gives great, knowledgable service but also puts the customer first is an absolute must for anyone looking to make endurance running a consistent habit. My wife and I found both at Big Peach Running on two separate occasions. During my first visit to the shop, one of the employees patiently spent at least an hour working with me to find the right shoe to help me to get back in the running game after a long hiatus due to injury. At the end of my visit, I left the store with new shoes in hand and confidence in my ability to get back into running shape. Unfortunately, after putting in many miles in the new shoes, they just were not working out. This happens sometimes with a new pair of running shoes, so I put none of the blame on the store employee who helped. My wife, however, did take the shoes back to the store three months later and they gave us a full refund for the shoes, no questions asked. The willingness to stand by their commitment to excellent customer service despite losing income from a sale will encourage me to keep coming to this store for all my running needs. This is a pretty good shoe store overall. The technology that they use to videotape your feet is quite helpful, and I appreciate the fact that they don't try to sell you on unnecessary orthotics when they do the videotaping, unlike one of their competitors who shall herein remain nameless. In addition to shoes, they have a decent selection of clothing. I would recommend the clearance rack, as quality athletic clothing can be a bit pricey. There are a few ways in which I think this particular location could improve. There are some other BPRC locations that I prefer, but they'd be well out of the way for people who live near Windward. First, the shoe wall could be organized better. They have brand logos at the top of the wall that appear at first glance to show what's underneath, but when you look at the shoes, they're not organized by brand, and the logo placement appears meaningless. The way in which they're organized isn't clear. BPRC could probably take a tip from Phidippides and organize by type of shoe (neutral, support, stability, etc.) and have the categories clearly labeled. This would make for a much more user-friendly browsing experience. Second, the shoe selection is a little on the small side. Maybe I'm just used to bigger shoe stores, or maybe the lack of clear organization threw me off a bit. Third, the few employees I heard there didn't appear to understand that a little pronation is not necessarily a bad thing. They seemed to want to overcorrect. I was there with my girlfriend to get her some running shoes, because she's just starting to run. She has very mild pronation, and they went immediately to stability models, rather than exploring the various options between neutral and support. read more

This is my only stop when I am buying new running shoes. Located off of exit 11 on 400 it is the perfect combination of science, selection & staff. First with the science, when you run you do one of three things with your feet, at Big Peach the have you hop on a treadmill and film your feet to see what you do and how you land ( they can also watch you run if you prefer). Then they have you try shoes that match how you run. This ensures maximum comfort and helps reduce injury. They have an incredible selection of shoes, from different styles to different brands. They are patient, courteous and very knowledgeable. If I am not mistaken they are all serious runners and their passion shines through when they assist you. Every time I am in I always bring a list of questions on everything from shoes, supplements, accessories and they always take their time and our happy to answer them. Right when you walk in they make sure someone is there to assist you. They have an e-mail list you can join that lets you know when they are hosting runs, some races that are coming up and links to articles to enhance your running experience. I love Big Peach, because as a serious runner, their staff seems to be composed of only serious runners and they are very experienced at what they do. They are also a locally owned and operated business and it's good to support the locals! For some unknown reason, I've never had a proper shoe and running analysis. But after a couple trips to Road Runners (only for the VIP running shoe trial of 90 days), I just felt frustrated with not finding the right shoe. I decided I needed to invest the time in a proper shoe fit and analysis. Glad I came. I was assisted by Cory, who was excellent. He was very patient with me and knowledgeable. He videoed my stride and I found out I slightly overpronate. Here I always thought I was a neutral runner. So he came out with several different pairs of shoes for me to try based on this fact, and I found a pair that is working great for me thus far. I really appreciate the time and expertise. Their team here really seems to care about finding the right shoe for you, not selling you the most expensive shoe out there. And their return policy is very forgiving. If a shoe isn't working out, they will work with you in exchanging for something else. Corey made notes for me in the computer so I can go to my next favorite pair of shoes if these should fail. This is the best running store in the area, especially for the more advanced runners. They have all of the top of the line running shoes in stock. For those newbies, they have a program where you can test pairs on a treadmill to ensure the right fit. More importantly, their service is great.
