When I arrived, I realized that all of the shoes online are not necessarily carried within the store. They did have one of the shoes I had selected. I was able to try it on and walk around the store. The shoes were very comfortable, and they had many sizes between 9 and 12 in stock. However, they did not appear to have many wide shoes in stock. So, I will ultimately make my purchase online, but it was nice to go into the store and try on one of my selections. All of the staff who interacted with me were friendly and courteous. I'll definitely consider returning if I need to try on a pair of shoes, but I'll probably continue to make my purchases online. UPDATE: I went home that night and tried to order my shoes online. The email coupon would not work. It said that the coupon had expired which was not the case. I then started a chat session on their website. I found out that the coupon would not work with the shoes that I was purchasing. Apparently, almost every brand they carry is excluded from the coupons that they email their customers (see below). I don't think that I'll be making another purchase at DSW anytime soon. However, despite me saying ship them to my home address the person taking the order at the store pulled up an old PO Box I used to have at PakMail. For almost two weeks the package was lost inside the PakMail. The manager there is Michael and he signed for it so I know it was there but misplaced. I thought it could have been returned to sender also. So I called the New Balance store to tell them about the mixup. The store tried to make it right by ordering a second package of socks to be shipped from the Mall of GA store. It's going to be delivered to my house. Today I stopped by the PakMail to see if my package was found. It was at the bottom of a bin. I don't know why they couldn't find it last week. I just called the Alpharetta store to tell them the package was found and I wanted to pay for the second package. Mark answered and I tried to explain what happened and that I wanted to pay for the second package of socks. He must have been busy or in a bad mood or he didn't believe me. He curtly said enjoy the free socks. If it was a screw up on their part I shouldn't have to pay. It just doesn't feel right. I'm an honest person. Oh well, I go there at least once a year to buy shoes and socks.
