I can't say enough about Bryce and the crew at Big Peach Running. I was on the verge of heading to physical therapy ($1000) for knee pain on the inside of R knee. I had purchased a pair of shoes a month earlier at Big Peach and Bryce dug right in. Diagnosed me w over pronation that wasn't there when I bought my last pair a year ago and spent some time w me on mechanics. I was over striding and "putting on the brakes" w every stride. Swinging arms way too much and causing straight leg with a heel strike. He gave me some instruction and even went ahead and credited me toward my new pair without my old pair with me. He told me to just bring them in when I attend their free running mechanics class next Wednesday. Who does that?! At the beginning of the year I made a pledge to get my fat ass in shape and to exercise more and eat out less. So far, I am doing a pretty good job of maintaining that goal and have seen improvements to my body and health. Recently, I started a Couch to 5k program in the hopes of participating in a 5k in a few months. I have enjoyed the lessons this far and decided to kick it up a notch and get actual running shoes (gasp!). I drove over to BPRC during my lunch break with two expectations. First, I knew I was going to pay $20 - $30 more at a running store than I could find online. Secondly, I expected personalized service with a friendly face. Happily, I can report that only one of my expectations came to fruition. I walked into the store and headed straight for the back wall where they keep the majority (all?) of their different shoes and begin to peruse the selection. A gentleman came out of the back and offered assistance, to which I declined as I was just looking. Moments later a lady came up and offered assistance which I accepted as I had realized that I had no idea what the heck I was doing. The sales lady (drats, didn't get her name) was extremely pleasant to deal with and guided me through a litany of different foot sizing tests. I think I really put her through the ringer and tried on about 8 different pairs of shoes. All the while she retained her smile and genuinely wanted to help me get into running. She was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process and I felt like I was in good hands. Once a shoe was selected she walked with me to the front to checkout. I paid about what I expected to pay from a running store and wondered what these babies go for online. After paying, she told me about their Monday evening runs, and I hope to join them in the future once I am in a little better shape. When I got back to the office I looked up my shoes and I was shocked to find that they were less expensive at BPRC then I could find online! That was a true shocker. For a personalized experience and a personalized fit I highly recommend BPRC. The only reason I am deducting a star is that I have not taken the shoes for a jog yet. Once I do, this will be updated. Recently I've experienced plantar fascitis and visited the Big Peach Running Co in Alpharetta. Brice, one of the reps, spent well over an hour helping me choose the right shoe for my feet. He also was patient, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. While trying on about 10 pairs of shoes, he remained patient and encouraging. Every employee I encountered was pleasant and helpful. Really want to like this place - but service is TERRIBLE. Wanted to buy ~$25 worth of chomps/gels without having all my personal information in their 'system' -- took girl 5 minutes to figure it out. Similar TERRIBLE experience in midtown over the weekend. Waited forever for the person who was helping me to return... only to have her tell me she was 'distracted'. Love to support local business - but these experiences BEG for me to do more online shopping. read more

I came in for a knee brace and left with new shoes and adjustments to my stride that are saving my knees in the long-run (pun intended). Great experience, and I never felt pressured. I'm a new runner, but have done distance walking charity events before (3 day, 50 mile). I thought I had decent shoes before, but my new one's are even better. Thanks for the help and education. I have been going to Big Peach Running Co for years. I am always delighted. I admit, I have tried a couple of other places in and around the area for convenience and I always leave them saying I need to go back to Big Peach. I had some particular concerns this visit because of pain in my feet. Long story short, I asked Bryce if he would re-evaluate my feet and see if I needed different shoes than the Brooks I have been getting forever. He took the time to ask me several questions about my walks/runs, my shoes, the pain, what I do for work, etc, etc. He brought out a bunch of shoes and had me try them one by one. We landed on Hokas, which are AMAZING and feel like I'm walking on pillows. Bryce wears them too. He explained the shoe's technology and structure and why it would help the problems I am having. He also did an analysis of my running for me, without me asking, just to make some suggestions on how I was running and why my form was hurting me. He encouraged me and said I can definitely go back to running!! Bryce was the best part of today's visit, but I am also super happy with my new shoes!! Thank you so much! Disappointing experience. I was fit for a running shoe that was extremely too wide for my narrow foot. I tried using an insert to take up the room, but ended up having to return them because my foot would shift side to side inside my shoe when i exercised. The foot width should be considered as well as the length. I went to another specialty shoe store and they were shocked that they missed such a crucial part of the fitting. They said i needed a 2A width shoe, the smallest width available, and that Big Peach should have seem this. They did allow me to return the shoes, but i should not have to go these lengths. They are the professionals, not me. read more

Big Peach (and all the locations for that matter) have a great selection of shoes and apparel. I love that the staff will analyze your stride and help you figure out the write shoe for you. I have been a runner for many years, but just recently had the staff analyze how my feet hit the ground. I now have an awesome pair of Asics that work perfectly for my feet! read more

Wow, what a great experience. My chiropractor sent me to Big Peach to have my arches scanned and my gate evaluated. I'm not a runner and I'm not young, yet Bryce at the Alpharetta store was so patient and focused as I tried on a variety of shoes. Never received this kind of service at a major chain store. In fact, this kind of service is rare anywhere these days! These guys are experienced runners and I learned so much. My budget is modest, but I left with a very high quality pair of shoes that fit better than any I've ever had ...and at a fair price. Bravo! read more

My daughter and I went into Big Peach to get new sneakers for both of us. We were assisted by Bryce, the manager. Both my 11 year old daughter and myself are runners. I thought that I was fine with the sneakers I had because I did not have any problems with them or my feet. Well little did I know that after going through the Fit Process (where they test you for the right sneakers) and from the knowledge that Bryce had with running, that I was in the totally wrong pair of sneakers. Bryce also gave me pointers on how to get more from my running, stride and better time. I tried on a few pair of sneakers that Bryce recommended and then decided on the best pair. I did a 5k race this past weekend (after buying the right pair of sneakers) and honestly it made a world of difference. I really did not know that I could run in comfortable shoes until I ran in the right shoes. Bryce also helped my daughter through the Fit Process and put her in the right pair of sneakers. She absolutely loves them. He took his time with both of us and did not try to hurry us through the process! I really feel we both have the right pair of sneakers! Thanks. I walked in looking for some new running shoes and was immediately greeted by Denise, who was probably the most helpful retailer saleswoman I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She had me try the brand new 3D imaging system to find out my foot size and shape and everything, and provided recommendations based on the result. After letting me try on pretty much every shoe in the store, and patiently talking me through issues that I had, we finally found a pair that I am incredibly happy with, and also came with a 20% discount! He was awesome so he deserves the credit for sure! He was EXTREMELY patient and thorough in ensuring I found the right show.
