I don't mind quiet employees, although it is always nice to have an employee recommendation. He asked me if i was looking for something specific, and he was able to help me find exactly what i was looking for immediately. He was very accommodating and I was in and out in seconds. Upon entering the store, i headed to what I thought was the correct area. 2 different employees walked past and spoke to me as they walked by. I thought that was pretty nice. Then a third one went past and asked if they could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she walked me to it. I am happy she did. She showed me where the help wanted button was that I didn't see and that also wasn't labeled. But since she walked me back and identified it for me it was ok. Then an employee came back and helped me. She was very nice and pleasant and said she would have my order up front at the registers. Even the cashier was both nice and friendly. Each employee I encountered gave me a high level of customer service. I also liked the fact that the store was very neat and clean and very organized. I can tell by this location that customer service is very important to this company.

Well... liquor stores that should be called "beer stores" have 'em cold. By the way... a 12 pack of 12 oz cans o' Miller is $12 and a 12 pack of 16 oz cans o' Miller is $12... um, yeah, do the math and make sure you make the right purchase. To boot, a 12 pack of Stella is $12 too... so... that's a pretty convincing situation. They also sell the cheapest 22oz-er of Stone IPA I've seen -- cold -- at $6.50. OH, WAIT! Is that a can of whip cream at your counter? Why? Wait... it's alcohol infused whip cream? Yes please! Fortunately I knew that was bartender for Sauvignon Blanc, so the next day I headed to the Kahn's web site, shopped a little, and picked out one from the Marlborough region, feeling pretty confident about my choice thanks to the description on the Kahn's web site. I ordered it online, went in to pick it up, and even was able to get a nice gift bag on site. Thank you, Kahn's! When I gave it to him, he literally gushed. It turns out he had bought that himself several years ago, and liked it so well that his restaurant served it for about a year. I had definitely struck gold! Thank you, Kahn's, for making the whole experience very easy for me, and a positive one for him!

During my short time in the store, I was cheerfully greeted and showed around, but also left to browse by myself (which, as an introvert, I appreciated). The store is small and cozy, but they have a great selection of wine and other beverages that I haven't seen at bigger places. I ended up getting a bottle of Spanish red wine and a can of local white wine. I like to do that whole high-low thing sometimes, you know? WestClay Wine and Spirits does wine tastings and spirit tastings weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. You can keep up with their schedule on social media. I was encouraged to visit for a tasting, and was told that the tastings are super low-key and fun, and a good way to try something that might be new to me.
