I am not typically one to come on line to give negative reviews, but I have to do it in this case. I have been going to this shop for a couple years. Here a while back, they changed my oil for me and did not put the O-Ring on the filter canister correctly. I was probably 15 miles away from the shop when the low oil pressure light came on and my vehicle lost 4 of its 6 quarts because the filter got cut from the canister threads. I was willing to let that go until today when I was working on my truck and found my left front tire wore down almost to the cords on the inside. Now, I've had these guys rotate my tires religiously during this time. So, July 3rd, I have a trip tomorrow, I decide to rotate my tires myself. What do you think I found on the right hand rear? Yep, you guessed it, that tire was almost worn down to the cord too. My other 2 tires have probably another 15-20K miles left on them. My vehicle drives straight, no problems there. Do you think these guys said anything to me about premature tire wear? NO!!! I am super not happy. I'll never go back to this shop again. read more

I needed four tires mounted, balanced, and installed on my truck. A friend suggested I try Big Red, so I called to check on prices and set up an appointment. They were able to get me in promptly on the next working day. My truck went into the shop the moment I arrived and they handled everything promptly and courteously, including accommodating my requests that they sort and set aside two of the used tires for spares, re-calibrate the air pressure sensors at the wheels, and be careful not to over-torque the lugs as had happened in the past with my last tire change. The waiting area was comfortable and clean. And, the cost was extremely reasonable - Big Red did the job for less than the other price quotes I got. They lied to me and said that they require masks inside so I could wait for the hour and a half to get my tires aligned. When I show up, no one is wearing a mask in the waiting room and the employees have them down below their chins. Wouldn't recommend. read more

Would absolutely NOT recommend. Took our truck to them to have them fix a steering issue after getting wheels powder coated, and they "found" some other issues so paid $1800 to have it all "fixed." Got truck back and they bad forgotten to align it so took back again and still rattles and they completely chipped and gouged our trucks wheels that had just gotten powder coated a week prior. Owner said "we wouldn't do that to wheels" and told my husband "I'm about to wash my hands of this entire situation." Can't take claim for something that happened at his shop. Completely disappointed and frustrated with our experience. read more

I had a bad flat. Rolled into their parking lot with it close to the rims. They could've told me "oh well to drive when it's that low can be risky so we recommend a new tire and oh hey it's best for all 4 to have the same wear so we recommend 4 new tires." But they didn't. They gave me exactly what was wrong, repaired the tire, charged me a super low price, and I was gone in under an hour. Impressive! Speed, affordability, AND integrity. I'd never gone here before, but my family will be taking both of our vehicles back here when they need new tires. read more

The owners of Big Red Tire Pros are fabulous. I called about grinding breaks and Dan had me stop by on my way home from work so he could take a look. They were closing in 10 minutes. I mentioned I knew I needed new tires too. He worked me in for the next morning and got my brakes and new tires on by 10:30 am so I could drive out of town for a commitment. They are honest and you never feel like they are taking advantage of you. They are friendly and professional. My brakes work great now and my tires will be good for 75,000 miles! They also have free roadside assistance if you buy a set of tires and free tire rotation for a year (I think I remember that correctly). I highly recommend them!! I have been going to this store since it initially opened and they have worked on three different vehicles for my family. I have never ever had a problem with price or service. They even fixed my wheel barrow wheel one day for free. I recently had Husker Auto here in Lincoln try to tell me I needed new tires for my car. After consulting with Big Red I was assured my tires were fine for at least another year. They removed a nail from my tire for $20 and did not try to take a penny more. I own a nice BMW so like the dealership they could have been tempted to increase the costs but true to form they did no such thing. I recommend this store to all my friends. read more

Really friendly and accommodating. They figured out a cheaper way to replace my worn out mustang sensors rather than the OEM one which would have cost more and gave free gifts at the point if writing when I changed all 4 wheels. Amazing service too, and I got sick rims out of it! read more

There are so many good things to say about this place that's it's difficult to know where to start. First of all, the owners Dan and Lynda are such nice people. Came here on a Friday to get two tires for my Kia and was out the door right away. Being new to Lincoln and only living about 5 minutes from this place, I decided to give them a chance. Best decision I could ever have made. The staff there is great, very efficient in what they do. Dan and Lynda made me feel right at home. I've been in Lincoln for only a month and they made me feel as if I knew them for years. I'm definitely bringing my other car here too. Being new to Lincoln, I needed a new service station. Made an appointment, they got me in super fast, they had my oil changed, new tires on, and my spare back in the trunk (they even put the better of my old tires in the trunk for a full sized spare!) the right way (unlike most places who just throw it in), even though I had stuff back there, all very quick, and didn't break the bank! these guys are not a full service auto repair shop, but they do do a lot of repairs. they do good work generally. I, too find them to be accommodating. when it comes to buying tires, one is advised to buy 4 at a time. if you buy 2, you will get the new tires installed on the rear, and the older, existing tires will be staying on the front. it is best to buy all 4 tires new at a time, anyway. they do have some good brands of tires. they do do good work on the mechanical, that they do do. they are weak on any auto electrical that they even do. read more

I had an excellent experience with my tire purchase. The staff was knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. They did just what they said that they would do and even put on my four tires in time for me to arrive at work before 8 am. Unfortunately, I had to leave Nebraska unexpectedly to seek medical care. My paperwork was in storage, and I did not have information to take advantage of the tire protection program that I had paid for last winter. I needed to have my tires rotated. I called BIg Red Tire and explained my situation. The person that I spoke with patiently listened, found the closest provider of this service covered under my plan, and has promised to send copies of my paperwork so that I can get my tires rotated. I had a very bad exsperience with this store. I bought tires from them last year, and had only put 10000 miles on them, and the tires began making alot of noice. I took the car to the dealer, and they said that the problem was with the tires. I went in to the store to ask what they thought, and they told me that it was not the tires fault. I then went to a trusted auto repair, just 2 blocks away, and they told me that it definitly was the tires. This was my second bad exsperience with this place. I did call the owner this week, and he told me that he might have been able to give me a 10% discount on any new tires. I will never buy a tire from them again. Took our truck in a lot of times and every time it has taken 8 hours +. A belt was squealing didn't fix the problem only changed the belt if it took them 4 time to fix what was wrong and when I got it back there was a new noice. My started started to go out and I took it there when it wasn't bad they turned it on and said that nothing was wrong! And still charged me, then a week later my starter won't work had to take it back in. Don't go here take for ever with shitty work. read more
