Allow me to preface with, my daughter's car needed tires and she set up the appointment and received the quote. Two things. 1. Made an appointment for 11am and was told it would be about 1 1/2 hours. I returned at that time and they had not even started. Was told sorry, we are backed up. We will call when we're done. I suggested that the appointment means should mean something but I felt dismissed with my concerns. 2. Received a price quote for 4 new tires. When I dropped the car off they said there could be an additional cost to balance. I believe that is a standard cost 100% of the time with installation of new tires and should have been part of the original quote. Seems sneaky to not give that price upfront. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Brought a vehicle in for an alignment, upon getting the car back they said we need a new bolt before they could fix the alignment. We were under the vehicle the day before and none of the bolts were broken. After inspecting we noticed the alignment tab was damaged because they used an impact drill on the bolt. When asked, Nathan said they don't use impact drills. We asked to speak to a manager and they didn't have one there. Told us we'd need to come back the next morning. No responsibility taken. No solutions to the problem. A horrible experience from beginning to end. Would not recommend this Firestone to anyone. read more

I brought my pickup in for a tire rotation and left it there all day. At the end of the day when I was driving away, I noticed that obviously the tires had not been rotated. When I went back into the store and asked the technician, they said they did not rotate the tires. However, the invoice said that they rotated the tires. Upon speaking to the manager, he apologized, but there is no restitution for the time and frustration. I would not do any business with this store as they do not know what the H they are doing. Terrible experience! Went in for oil change and AC check. Mechanic forgot to put a part back after oil change. Oil leaked all over my driveway. Was told that dye was going to be put in to check for AV leaks. They called and said no leaks found, replaced FreeOn and said may or may not have a bad switch. Blowing cool air when I picked it up. Stopped 3 days later. When I took car back because of oil leak, they had to re-order the original part and than assured me that I wouldn't be charged - WHY would I be charged? It was their error and my additional time lost! SHAME ON THEM. Funny thing...when I picked the car up, I mentioned that the miles on the oil change sticker did not match the miles on my car. The woman behind the counter (Debra) replied....you can just change it to the original miles and than add 3000 miles to the sticker for your next oil change. I WILL NOT BE BACK!! read more

Took my half ton truck in for brake replacement. They said my driver side front caliper was locked up and had to replace it. Cool. Said my truck was to go and be picked up. Drove an hour and half to pick up the truck, only to realize it was in fact not ready. The brakes were not bled at all, almost backed into the building to the negligence of thief mechanics. Left the truck there, and it was finally ready come Monday morning (2 days later) (only lube techs work on Sunday). Picked up the truck. Offered no compensation for the absolute negligence. Left and drove almost 2000 miles only to realize the drive side brake that was replaced was held on by on single bolt and was grinding into my wheel. Had to get my truck towed and taken back into a shop for brakes. read more

My daughter a University student had a leaking RR tire. I suggested she go in to a reputible tire auto repair shop and they will fix her up. Oh they tried to fix her up. My daughter called in tears, suggesting they could not find a hole in the tire she had aired up three times in the last two days. However, they did find a hole in a tire on the left rear. I said, left rear that was not even the leaking tire? I was pretty confused so I called the dealership. I chatted with a nice fella, and he suggested that my tires were 7 years old and need replaced. It was not their company policy to fix 7 year old tires. I kindly stated that the tires were less than 2 years old and had only had 10k miles on them. I strongly suggested that those tires were completely fine. We obviously argued some then and I pleaded just put a patch or a plug in the tire so my daughter could get to another dealership that would not rip her off. I have put plenty of plugs in tires over my years, trust me they can go thousands of miles if needed before a new tire is warrented. So, this dealership would not "fix" her tire. They would only sell her new tires. I said fine put air in the tires and put the tires back on. We will be taking our business else where. I notified my daughter to go pick up the car and search for a HONEST tire auto dealership. She did find one nearby. The kind people got her in right away. She told him the whole story. He thankfully took off both tires and checked them for leaks.................. What do you know, the right rear had a slow leak in just like my daughter had suggested. The repair man said the left tire was absolutely fine. The repair man said the tires were in excellent shape. He put a plug in the tire like we thought the whole time. I am very thankful for the honest man at the second repair shop. This Firestone was a horrible encounter. I called back to this Firestone after my daughter had the car fixed and suggested to the Nice Man that he had a chance to verbally admit that he was taking advantage of a college student and I would let it be. He would not so here is the nice verbal story of how aweful this Firestone is. Never ever, ever, ever take your vehicle here. I will also be writing the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce as well... Took my car here and they were able to get me in, get my brakes fixed, and get my family and I back on the road home. Edited 12/22 to add that Firestone went above and beyond in resolving the complaint, and while I'm still not sure where the misunderstanding occurred, they were apologetic and took full responsibility for the error. I'm impressed with the level of customer service. Original Review: First visit 12/18, I don't see myself returning to this location. I just wanted an oil change. I was charged for a vehicle inspection that I didn't ask for and was never quoted to me (in order to sell me additional services I didn't want). I made an appointment to get my tires and steering checked because i could hear a noise while driving over bumps. when i walked in there wasn't any customers waiting! a man walked into the lobby to help us right away! i was asked a couple questions about the noise i was hearing & just wanted to know really what it could be! i left my car there for about 4 hours. they called me back 30 min before they closed and told me my car was ready! when i drove over to get my car they had told me it was just my tires what were needing replaced when clearly that wasn't what issues i was having. i asked if they drove the car and he said yes. he also told me that he heard the noise and didn't do any further inspecting because that wasn't what he was asked to do???? i was so confused and upset on why i still didn't get an answer on what i needed fixed especially when he knew what i was there for. he asked if i wanted to leave my car there to do more inspecting but i didnt want to pay more money for something he told me he heard and didnt do anything about?? or let me know what it was i needed fixed. i paid $22 for them to tell me i needed $800 tires. read more

Beware. My son goes to UNL and took his car there after we drove it from California. Check engine light came on and $1500 later we thought everything was fixed. A few days later more problems and another $1700 and they claimed it was all unrelated. NOW, the check engine light is back on and they want another $600! No more. Taking elsewhere. Never had any issues with this vehicle and was ok with first repair, but suddenly other random "unrelated" issues have been occurring. Took my car in to have looked at for a transmission issue was quoted 23.99 on the phone when I went to go pick it up I was told my total was over $100. I was told I need a new transmission so just to be safe I thought I'd go and get a second opinion the service man at the second place looked at my paperwork and told me from what he could tell all they did was the equivalent to running codes which I could've had done at any O'Reillys or AutoZone free of charge. After voicing considerable objection to the missed quote I was offered a $50 discount. So basically I was charged $50 for something I could've had done for free. The only exception to this horrible experience was the excellent customer service that their employee Dennis offered me both times I was there. I will not be taking my car there again nor will I ever recommend them. If I could give them negative Stars I would. read more

I have been a Firestone loyal customer until this point. The employees referred to me as 'sweetie' and 'hun' despite two requests to call me by name. I was bullied into services I did not want, given ultimatums, and when someone didn't have an answer they gave the phone to someone else. I was treated as a 'young female' who does not know how cars function when I have plenty of knowledge and experience. My driver's side door lock used to get stuck sometimes and is now completely unusable so I will be taking my car elsewhere for repairs. Firestone will never operate on my vehicle again because of the staff and this recent interaction. I deserve the same treatment as any other person regardless of my sex. read more

I feel like I got ripped off. They told me it was going to be $175 and when I went to pick it up it was over $240. I wouldn't have done it if I knew it was going to be that much. I feel like shops like this prey on women and assume we don't know much so they can overcharge us. $240 to tilt a part and add Freon is absurd. read more

Honestly, I dont know why I've kept going to these people, perhaps I have some sort of Stockholm syndrome type issues. I bought a set of tires from them approximately 30,000 miles ago. I have now been informed the tires are ruined and need replacing. Under my tire warranty I was offered a 30% pro-rate on a new set of tires. This was only after pointing out that I had nearly 60% of my tread life remaining. In terms of mileage I still have 40% of the life remaining. After being offered 30% I told them that I would not do business with them for that kind of discount. It may seem unreasonable to refuse that kind of discount, but I have documentation (other ASE certified mechanics) that they have lied to both myself, and my mother about the serverity of the problems with our car. I was told my brake drums were on the verge of total failure. A mechanic told me there were no problems with my drums. My mother's Subaru 'needed' $3000 in work but Subaru of Lincoln (great people) said it needed a minor gasket that needed fixed (closer to $300). Never. Ever. Use them. There are any number of Tire Shops in town that do no do this kind of stuff. Look at all the terrible reviews you see just by Google-ing them! read more

I took my wife's car there to have a battery replaced and got a call later about it needing a new serpentine belt. A few years later, I took a tire from one of my other vehicles in and they went out of their way to tell me that the car I was driving needed a new tail light bulb and the tire I wanted repaired could not be repaired. I think these guys go out of their way to try and find ways to make a quick buck. It was when they refused to fix a tire on a car I was trading in and tried to sell me new tires that I realized I needed to start taking my vehicles someplace else. read more

Went in with a squeak noise in my front end, found out it was due to my leveling kit I put in and not just the alignment I thought was the issue, they addressed the alignment as I asked and it didn't correct my problem, instead of calling to feed me a line Jason told me of possible corrections and offered advice to help me resolve it. Do not plan on making an appointment on line for a specific time-it is meaningless. Times are not transferred on line to local Firestone shop and the local store does not seem to care. Scheduled an appointment at noon, upon arrival was told that they had 4 ahead of me and it "Would be awhile".. When asked, how long is that, the gentleman replied with a laugh, " It has to be done by six as that is when we close." Wonder if they take such a lackadaisical approach to repairs? read more

I have been using this company, off and on, for a while to change oil and other small things because the location is convenient to my work. There is always something that needs to be replaced. This time I took my 2003 Impala in for repairs because it was running rough. Ended up replacing the catalytic converter, sensors, plugs, wiring, and a fuel pressure regulator. A month later it was back in again for the same problem, but this time they claimed it was the rocker arm and a spring in one of the cylinders. At first they thought they could fix it, but then claimed they would have to replace the cylinder head and other parts. Ended up costing $250 just to tell me that I needed to spend another $2K. Time to look someplace else. read more
