Super patient with us, answered all of our questions, made recommendations, and very attentive. Will ask for her again. The menu was a cornucopia of drinks and eats that sound amazing. We had the pimento cheese spread, two orders of the chicken fried steak and two orders of redfish. Everything was spectacular. We can't wait to go try other items on the menu. While waiting for our table we wondered up to the 3rd floor. They had live music. The place was jumping up there. We are going to have to look up who is going to be playing and have another married date night. The only downside to the evening was unfortunately the host at the front door. He was rude and severely lacking in communication skills. If anything else had me "meh" I would have taken stars away but everything else made up for his shortcomings.

Once seated we waited nearly an hour for the food, and it arrived with one good plate, and a $55 "Wagyu" which was a small, twisted piece of sinewed, chewy meat with cold, soggy veggies and mash. Sent it back, and my wife was finished by the time the replacement came - which again, was about as 'Wag'yu as a pup's tail. They kindly removed cost of my meal, and we got anniversary desert. Nice building and staff working hard - just set your expectations accordingly.

The second time we took the family there the wife and kids got chopped brisket sandwiches which were good. I got the brisket and jalapeno sausage. Sadly, while it had a good char the brisket was dry as heck. Not good for a signature item on the menu.

The brisket was everyone's favorite, the pulled pork was excellent as well with much more flavor than I've had anywhere else! We loved the sides-- the mac & cheese was everyone's favorite as it had such a great flavor! One of the highlights of this place is the serve yourself dessert bar when you are dining in. We enjoyed multiple helpings of peach cobbler with their soft, serve ice cream, both of which were absolutely fantastic!! Ordering the food was kind of an assembly line set up, with employees dishing out servings. Everyone was friendly and fast, but we were disappointed that both types of ribs were sold out by the time we arrived. We were worried about finding a seat, as this place was absolutely packed on a Sunday evening! We were able to find a booth quickly, and they do have some outdoor seating as well. Definitely recommend stopping into the spot if you are anywhere close!! Many in our group said that this was the best barbecue they've ever had!

They included two types of bbq sauce (their house sauce and Carolina sauce). Both were delicious. They also supplied dinner rolls, paper plates, utensils, napkins and sliced onions. Now, keep in mind their office is in McKinney and our office is in Oak Cliff. The food arrived hot, they took a few minutes to set it all up (we just made sure we had the space available) and then they left us to it. And, Man did we get to it!! :-) It's 3 hours later and we're just now coming out of our food coma! Will definitely hit them up again. Great Job Guys!!

Often at smoke houses you can select from either a lean or moist brisket. Moist brisket typically means more fat than the lean and usually your serving paper is absolutely soaked with grease. The lean is usually too dry so no happy medium. NO LONGER! This chopped brisket is exceptionally well balanced. The smoke flavor is absolutely amazing! One way I like to judge smoked meats is if you can enjoy it without any sauce. IMO good BBQ is about the meat not the sauce. This brisket is awesome alone and my wife prefers it that way. I use a small amount of sauce if I make it a sandwich. Very easy to prepare. I boil the water and drop it in for about 10 minutes. Could also be microwaved. Bottom line here is that this chopped brisket is worth you experiencing if you love smoked meats! Don't pass up the opportunity to order some!!
