Posted: 2-2-2026 Craftsman Pressure Washer not starting properly. Would start intermittently. The repair personnel went over the entire machine. Was getting a very "weak" spark. Part replaced. They also changed the oil, after contacting me that it needed to be done. Cost was very reasonable. Be advised: During peak season times, they are very busy. I have never been treated so rudely by the owner of a company in my life. Not sure if it's because I'm a female or what the reason was. May have been because my mower wasn't fixed and I had to bring back. He was rude when I brought it back and rude when I picked it up. Will never use them again. read more

Buyer beware - the new generation of ownership appear to be crooks. Paid 60.00 for a drive belt for a riding mower and the belt disintegrated within a few minutes. Every excuse in the books not to replace under warranty or even a return. FM Pile Hardware has been in our community for years and has always been the go to for all of our service needs for years and we have tried to stay true to them and stayed away from the box stores but after this experience we will no longer be using them for anything. read more

Don't bother taking any electric hedge trimmers to them to be sharpened. Apparently, it is a low-priority service. Two weeks and then they couldn't find them, even said my ticket stub numbers didn't match their records! Guess what? STILL not sharpened yet! I'll remember this when it's time to buy new lawn equipment. And shop elsewhere! read more

On December 8th, 2018 since my wife was in Charleston anyway I sent her a text with explicit details of a bar for my Husqvarna 372 xp saw. The person behind the counter tried to sell her a chain even after she showed him the text that said "bar". Well the bar sold was wrong and had to be returned. I have ordered the bar 3 or 4 times from Bailey's Online and never received the wrong part, expediency was the only reason I didn't order this time. We live roughly 25 miles away and don't travel to Charleston often. On the 15th we made a special trip to the store to make the exchange. The counter guy was very helpful, but and only assume this the repair center manager interviened and customer service went out the window and fast. The offered and I excepted a 10% reduction in the price which barely covered gas with no consideration of my time wasted for the wrong part not being usable when I needed it most or the time wasted making a special trip to exchange it. I would at least expect a sincere apology as the first guy offered, but all I got from who I assume was the manager was contempt. I started out talking to him with respect, but by the time I walked out (never to return I might add) I was rather loud and just as hard to get along with as he was. A brief lesson on customer service would go a long way at Pile Hardware. Oh and I looked up online and found a dealer closer. read more
