We ordered a large sectional couch from Big Sandy. After shopping around the said they would price match and we went with them. Our order was placed at the beginning of Feb and we were told the last week of Feb/ first week of March our product would be in. Those came and went and then delivery day was finally here. Out of the 6 pieces we ordered only 3 were delivered and of those 3 only 1 was correct. 1 was the wrong color and one was the wrong size... this is Mid March. Upon further investigation on my end I realized when they "price matched" us they got there by taking one of the pieces of our couch off. Thankfully I noticed, we then got the entire order placed and were assured the couch would be delivered by the beginning of April. Sure enough April came, nothing, mid April, nothing, late April, nothing, early May, nothing. We finally take delivery on May 8 and sure enough one piece is still missing... their incompetence is at a level I've never seen before, and their lack of accountability is despicable. Their General manager Derrick is rude and condescending and while he ultimately got what we needed in our house it was not for a lack of HOURS of phone calls and emails on our part. We will never be back and I suggest people looking for good customer service and prompt (and correct) delivery shop literally anywhere else. read more

Sales process was very good. Sales associate was knowledgeable and helpful in our purchase of a GE washer and dryer. Delivery notification and tracking of truck on the day of delivery was excellent. Delivery crew was efficient in moving old washer and dryer and bringing in new units. Dryer venting supplied with the new dryer was flexible and the crew expanded it way too far. When this was called to their attention they made a quick adjustment but did not correct the issue. Based on the actual installation instructions the excess vent tube should have been cut off to reduce fire hazard. When crew left we noticed some red staining on the front of the dryer. We should have taken pictures but did not. We cleaned assuming it to be blood. A bit more customer service at point of delivery would have been greatly appreciated. read more

H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E EXPERIENCE! From beginning to end. We ordered a bedroom suit for my daughter. Was told that 1 of the 3 items were on backorder but would be in by the end of the month in July. Email was rec'd stating now availability was beginning of Aug. Didn't hear anything sent several emails with no response. So I called the customer service line for a status. Was on for over 30 mins and was transferred twice. Finally the 3rd person found the 2 items and set up an appt today for pickup. We get there and the items are not there! 30 min drive and gas wasted. The two men who installed my washer and dry were very nice, one of them wore a mask, one did not. They were a bit unprefessional. They were bantering back and forth, cursing, and even went as far as to ask me which one of them were fatter. One of the men explained everything to me but made me feel a bit stupid when I asked him a couple questions. After the two men left I also noticed they damaged my sliding door to the laundry room in the process of installation. We purchased a $3500 couch. We also purchased the 5yr warranty 11 months ago. 3 months later our recliner stopped working. They've extended the date in August and then in October for delivering the part for repair. I've now been waiting on a repair part and service guy to install for 7 months now. The end recliner has not been able to be used because of it basically since we got it. I called customer service today after being sick of being patient and demanded a date for repair. I was told there's "nothing you can do about it" and "you'll just have to wait". Now it's December 7th and they're quoting me another 2-6 weeks more for delivery. The best advice would be to NEVER BUY FROM THIS RETAILER! Go somewhere else affordable to buy furniture. There's quite a few places in Columbus with ethical business practices and quality furniture. PLEASE read the store reviews as well. The things people are upset about are things you learn in business 101 with how to maintain customers. Companies like this drag out honoring a customer's warranty so that they spend as few dollars as possible on a customer and especially a poorly made product. These practices are illegal and shows this company has zero integrity. Try Value City or Ashley for one. There's other furniture stores that have very comparable prices although the outside might look fancy. Just stay away from this place. You'll thank me later. read more

Ordered a new table that arrived damaged. Went back and forth for weeks for a solution that seemed simple. After weeks of telling them we just want a new "undamaged" table they finally agreed. Installers showed up today with new table and would not put on shoe covers. Got mud all over white area rug and just left. Very disappointing experience. read more

We bought furniture for our bedroom, living room and dining room. Not only did our furniture come damaged once but 4 times. Our couches completely damaged, scratched and not put on right. Our dining room bench still actually not level to the ground which has nothing to do with our floors in the dining room. The bench came damaged 3 different times. When the guys were assembling our bed for the second time they ended up really damaging it. They should absolutely check the furniture that gets sent in before sending it out. Do not purchase furniture from here. We ordered a couch on 1/10/21 and we have STILL not received it. While it was a "special order" couch, we have ordered other special order furniture from other companies during this age of Covid and we have not had this much of a delay. The Covid excuse is also getting really old...it's been almost a year and a half and other companies have figured it out. Besides the fact that it is taking forever to get our couch, the CUSTOMER SERVICE has been TERRIBLE and unacceptable. The store has reached out to us ZERO times with updates regarding our order each time the delivery date has been pushed back. I have had to contact the store on 4 separate occasions when the estimated delivery date has come and gone and we had heard nothing. Each time upon calling the store we get a new estimated date that is another month or two away. Extremely frustrated. We have furnished an entire house having moved during Covid and this is the only piece that has been an issue and is yet to arrive (our only purchase from big sandy's). And he told me that if I got it that day then I would safe $500 for the price went back up to a normal price. My husband and I purchased a home and bought all new appliances for the kitchen. Everything was installed and the dishwasher was not draining properly. I called the store and they said they would send out a third party affiliate to look at it. It took about a week to get the repair man out here. The repairman came out the day before Thanksgiving and said he would be bringing a new drain pump. I waited a week for that to arrive. The repairman came out yesterday and got the whole washer pulled out and found that the drain hose was so badly kinked and broken that it has to be replaced. The third party affiliate is from Samsung and was very knowledgeable and helpful. The repairman said the hose was kinked when it was installed. I have called Big Sandy's numerous times and kept getting referred back to the third party affiliate. Big Sandy's is not taking responsibility for the installation and mess it has created. Sales people are knowledgable but are slow at best in getting quotes for appliances and furniture. After placing an order it is nearly impossible to get Big Sandy to confirm a delivery date of the purchased goods(appliances in this case). I have now waited over 12 days after order placement and they still can't give me a date when they'll deliver. And to add insult to injury I have to contact them to find out the status. Their best service is their "crickets" ability. Look elsewhere first for your appliances. Even if their prices are near the lowest the hassle of getting them to follow through is not worth the savings. read more

We filed a service/repair order end of July and a technician came out beginning of August. We received a text on August 6th 2020 that based upon the pictures and work order, it would be approximately 4-6 weeks for parts to come in. Delays possible with Covid. We waited. I contacted Big Sandy last week to follow up and they said they had a new system and apologized for the delay and they scheduled a technician to come out next week, which was today December 9th 2020. The technician came and fixed the arm on the chaise lounge. However, he was not able to fix the middle armless sofa evacuee the original technician had ordered the wrong replacement piece. The original technician also told us that it would likely need the whole piece replaced because the seam that came undone is likely not replaceable. The technician, Shawn, that arrived today was friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I would give him 5 stars. I called about not getting the main issue fixed, and was given a runaround basically. There was not a manager available to speak to. I am very frustrated at this point as I paid a lot of money for this sofa and it keeps having issues! And big Sandy has had 4 months now to make it right! read more

The salespeople at Big Sandy's have been great but the service for repairs is awful! I have purchased in the last year, 2 high end refrigerators, 2 high end dishwashers and an oven/stove. All worked great except the LG refrigerator freezer just purchased about a month ago. Day after delivery I contacted them to let them know the freezer door was not staying shut and the freezer, because the door was not staying shut, would not work. I had to put a heavy box in front of the door to be sure it stayed closed. No call back from service department and had to call again to report and get a work order number. Never called back with a date or follow up and had to call again and finally got a date but did not call the day before with an estimated time as I was told they would. Stayed home all day to wait on the repairman who showed up and releveled the legs and told me it was fine. I told him it was not, and it reopened. He spent a few more minutes and then left. Called him about a half hour later telling him the freezer door would not stay shut. He said he would order new rails and let me know when they were in. I called over a month later today and the parts are in- no call from the service department and not sure they would have called had I not called to check on it. I was told no estimated time, and I will have to wait again to see when this guy shows up. I was a big fan of Big Sandy's but their sales pitch about how great their inhouse repair service is has definitely fallen short of what was promised when I bought the appliance. read more

I didn't want or need a high end chest (although they have a wide range of quality and price) and what I purchased is perfect. The sales person spent a lot of time with me but I needed to go home and measure again. We purchased a sectional couch for over $5k and purchased the extended warranty that cover everything even accidental. We have had the couch almost 18months and it has now broken 6 times each time a different piece breaks and we have to wait WEEKS! For the to come fix it. Now we have had enough each time it breaks we miss two days of work! This is now the 7th time it's broken and I asked for the couch to be replace or refunded and they are refusing to do so the couch is obviously a lemon.
