The movies are fun to go to at the drive in. Nobody talking, no cell phone lights. Lol One of the biggest issues is the screens always seemed to be too dark. Sometimes we couldn't even tell what was going on... we could only hear it. We started going to this drive in right after it opened up (before they added the third screen) and this wasn't always an issue. We all liked to go to the drive in, being able to sit outside during the evening with all the friends and because of the Chihuahua (mexican Sandwich) as they call them Right before 2019 shutdown, we went and the chili was cold on the Chihuahua's... never had that issue before this mgr. I asked them to put them in the microwave and you would think I asked for my money back. They still weren't warm enough, but too much heating would make them soggy. They never offered to remake them. After things got back to normal, we several times again, I asked them to please make sure the chili was hot, even if they had to microwave the chili they would use for my food only. Again, each time I ordered those, I had to ask them to heat them up. They acted like I was crazy. So, I asked if I could talk to a manager. He looked like he just climbed out of bed and didn't want to deal with the issue. He basically told me the chili was always warm. Ummmm, NOooo! If it was, I wouldn't be requesting his help. I mean, who wants to eat cold chili on a corn tortilla with cold cabbage and pimiento?! Not us!! Anyway, because of the uninterested mgr at that time and the several times of giving them a chance after that, we decided to go to their competitors... during the day, on the weekends, with a nice a/c theatre and reclining seats. There were a lot of us that met up at the drive in and all of us had kids. Their loss. I guess $300-$400 every couple of weeks from just our group wasn't of interest to them. I don't think we'll ever go back. Too bad that a bad manager is so lazy that he didn't even try to resolve the issue. And, yes, I want the food made right if I'm paying for it. I think they were about $3.50 each. Not a lot of food for that, but I really liked them until they kept serving them completely cold. ‍ Just as happy at the inside theaters. I hope others have better experiences. And if they haven't fixed the issue with the dark screens, I don't see how anyone keeps going back. read more

We love the Drive in! It's perfect for us when our 7 year old wants to see a movie- he can run and play before dark and once the movie starts he is ready to settle in with yummy snacks and watch! I haven't had any issues so far. Sometimes the bathrooms have no toilet paper and aren't cleaned but other than that, this place is pretty decent. Are the better drive ins? Yes. At there any nearby? No, so deal with this one. I always enjoyed the food here and the cashiers are quick to get the concession lines down. The popcorn is way too salty (even for me) but the movie screens are always playing on time and the radio stations always work well. I guess my only complaint besides the bathrooms is the stupid oil field companies built near theater 3. Their extremely bright sunbeam lights shine the entire movie directly in your face and dim the screen. Don't watch horror or dark movies on screen 3, it's so dimly lit you won't be able to see anything happening. 4/5 will continue to go anyways. read more

We went here on a whim. Looking for something to do on a Sat. Evening and passed by, saw Glass and Aquaman were playing. The good: The parking lot is paved with nice ramps to angle your car upward toward the screen. This is cool because the drive ins I've went to in the past have all been just dirt, and the ramps wear down over time. The radio connection is crystal clear! The sound was perfect! No static, no in and out reception.. perfect! The screen was clear, no dirt stains to ruin the picture quality. The bad: The food is awful. It takes a long time to get it to you, so your thinking that it will be fresh and amazing!!?? Wrong. The hot dog and hamburger were cold. The mini donuts.. cold and not completely cooked. Special tip! Do not order any condiments on your food. They put soooo much ketchup and mustard on your burger and dog that the wrapper is all smeared.. and when you take a bite.. ugh.. it's like an inch thick.. the bun was literally sliding off my burger because it had so much mustard.. it's wasn't even able to get traction on the burger. So gross. Not to mention that if you are eating in your car, which you probably are.. you will drip everywhere... just don't do it... Get packets and put condiments on yourself... trust this... So... to recap... Go to the drive in, nice ramps, great sound and picture... and install a false bottom in your car to smuggle in your own food... like Han Solo.. read more

Really liked the drive-in theater experience that this place has. It has 3 different screens that plays 2 different movies back to back for just a single ticket price. There is a large concession area with a large selection of foods to get for your movie that are made to order that you can watch right in front of you. The food itself was acceptable as I didn't exactly have high expectations, but I did want to go back for more and would certainly eat it again. The pricing is incredibly reasonable compared to a movie theater and the food honestly is much better than the traditional theater. The furthest screen away is just a short minute or so walk to the concession area and the parking lots are well organized and easy to navigate to a spot. Unlike some drive-ins this also has raised parking spaces that allows for the car to be parked at an angle pointed to the screen as well as a half moon shaped parking area so you always face the screen. The sound is played via the radio and each screen has its own FM station that is broadcast at very high quality without any noise or static. My honest only big complaint came from the screen itself which could use some color and brightness adjustments. Even in the pitch black of the night, scenes in the movies that take place at night or in the dark are barely visible with some not even able to be seen at all. Either projector upgrades or brightness adjustments are badly needed. read more

This is one of the best Drive in theaters that I have been to. It has three main screens, and shows the latest movies, the food and snacks are top notch, you can not ask for anything better. Usually the weather is excellent, and the place gets pretty crowded on weekends so you have got to come in early to get a good spot. The toilets are clean and well maintained. There are play areas for the kids to keep them busy while you are waiting for the sun to set and the night to fall and the movie to start!! I will be here often, highly recommended. read more

My new fav date place!!! My husband and I have been wanting to come to this place since we moved to Midland. Last weekend we finally did and oh- we loved it! Very affordable tickets and concessions, the old school ambiance is great. My only complaint (not towards the drive-in tho) is the people that won't turn off their headlights during the movie. However, we called the number on their info page and someone promptly answered and went to fix the issue. Definitely coming back soon! read more

Great place to have a date night or family night. Love that you get 2 movies for the price of one if you choose to stay for both (on the same screen). We tried it out and were pleased. Nice playground by the concession stand, and also one in front of the screen. They have a great concession stand with average movie snacks and more. We got a pizza which was good, the ranch is huge so only needed one (wish we had known that lol). You can also bring in your own food and drinks. Bathroom wasn't the best but was pretty clean (women's). Can't wait for it to get warmer and to take our toddler! read more

Alas, I thought that was experience was long gone. Here in Midland, TX, I was given that opportunity again... at 30. Suffice it to say, I was a teenager again. A little about the cinema: Amazing: Got to see 2 new movies (The Watch and Batman) The drive-in culture was amazing - everyone with their families and/or friends with camp-style equipment (beer) enjoying the shows. I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. I used to play on the playgrounds there and watch from the top of the car as a kid. It's fun to go with family and it's a fun place for date night- it's almost like a night out, night in. The burgers, popcorn, hot dogs are mediocre at best. But you HAVE to try a chihuahua, their "signature sandwich"... YUM. The price is decent for two movies, the screens are clear and clean, and the sound quality is excellent. The only problem that we have SOMETIMES is people leaving headlights or taillights on, but is an issue that can be quickly resolved by calling the office!! They will send someone out on a golf cart to assist in turning lights off. Recommend checking it out!! read more

Great drive-in theater! 3 screens, & $6 per person (at least when I last went to a drive-in movie in 2010 or 2011ish). They accept cards. They tell you which radio station to tune for the different screens & movies. Usually there is a double-feature for each screen. Be sure to start the car engine during intermission to preserve your car battery! They have a portable battery starter kit in case the battery dies mid-movie. The snack station in the middle has several snack options (with a few that are vegetarian-friendly), as well as restrooms. Traffic flow can get crazy when the movies are over & everyone wants to leave at the same time. read more

Unique place for this area, there is not another one here. We love it. You can come in and get two current movies for less then the price of one at the regular theaters. The quality is very good, sound and picture. The price is very reasonable. Food is pretty good and not that expensive. The bad, the people that go there. People sit there with their lights on through the whole movie. Seriously, how can you be that dense? The food line takes forever with no real urgency from staff. I would recommend that there be a system where you can switch screens to see the second movie on a different screen. That would make it way move valuable. read more

Seriously disappointed. Just watched Hunger Games there and we got to actually see about half the movie. If a scene is in a dimly lit setting you see a black screen. You literally cannot see ANYTHING for at least 1/3 of the movie. This is the 2nd time we've had this experience and will not be back. read more

Big Sky is okay but it does not compete with the features of a real movie theater or cinema. Big Sky does not have the advantages of a big screen, HD technology, premium surround sound. There is no comparison!!! One of the rules at Big Sly is: do not idle your vehicle. Patrons break this rule constantly and it's absolutely annoying! There are more distractions at the drive-in also. My fiancée and I love coming here, we pay less here to watch two movies than at a normal theatre. What sucks though is that you can't switch screens to mix and match movies. Doesn't make sense that we paid for a double feature and had to pay again to watch the second movie on a different screen. read more

The movies are so dark. All of the screens are dark. Movie scenes at night are in the dark are like watching a completely black screen. They really need to brighten the movies. Also, they serve the chihuahuas cold. It's like they take them straight out of the refrigerator. read more
