Usually have a good time here but just a heads up for anybody just in case. We went to bowl at the Midland location and was told I needed a Fun Card. My family waited to the side while I went to get a card and when I returned I was told they were booked up. I like the movie theater but the seats are awful. they are not accommodating for someone who is 6'4. my boyfriend was in a seat and couldn't even put his legs out comfortably and that was before the lady infront moved her seat to recline. once it reclined, he had to put his legs in such an awkward and uncomfortable spot. Same goes for me, i am 5'7 and couldn't have my legs out properly once the little girl in front of me reclined her seat. overall, they did not do a good job at the placement of the the seats. read more

My husband and I EACH have platinum tier memberships to attempt to keep up with our family's moviegoing addiction and even then we still go WAY above our membership levels at both the Midland and Odessa theaters! Our kids love the games and laser tag. We have concurred ALL of the current escape rooms in the Midland and Odessa options. And we love the skywalk options! With regards to Midland in particular, tonight we encountered a young man named James in the prize room of the arcade. Are you listening Cinergy? This guy NEEDS to be your Supervisor as of at least YESTERDAY!!!! One of our favorite ways to rack up points is the Wizard of Oz coin drop game. We are very familiar with how to redeem the coins/cards and add them to our family central points card. However, many members of the Midland team have been simply (I hate to say it but I have to be honest) too lazy to read the simple instructions of sliding the player card, inserting won coins/cards, and then sliding the player card once more to transfer the points to it. Instead, even your higher level supervisors were missing the initial sliding of the player's individual card and claiming that the machine to do it yourself was just "constantly broken." But James instead showed how this step was missed regularly so we could do it ourselves instead of everyone counting on the ONE guy in the prize room to do EVERYTHING for them, causing a massive backlog with frustrated customers! And he did it with a giant smile and award-level customer service! Comparing Midland Cinergy vs Odessa Cinergy, Midland is definitely the "lesser" of the 2 But is still pretty cool nonetheless. So far, I've only seen a movie at Midland Cinergy and looked around a bit. This is mainly based on just the movie experience. (Odessa I've bowled, done an Escape Room, attended a holiday party there, etc). Guess that means I will have to come back and explore some more! Pros: -Movie seats are AMAZING! They powered, fully recline, have a leg rest, are spacious and have a food/snack table. -alcoholic beverages available. -picture/sound quality were great! -Good food choices. Negatives: -Unfortunately, if you don't buy your tickets in advance, you're stuck in the first or second rows which BLOW! Saving grace was that the seat recliner so my neck wasn't totally jacked up. -You'll be sitting RIGHT up next to strangers. No spaces between movie goers. (Luckily the seats are pretty spacious). -Expensive -For a "newbie", I wasn't aware of the "no cash" policy at the concession stand. Apparently you have to buy cards at a kiosk and then use them at the stand... I rarely have cash anyways so I just swiped my debt card, NBD. Seriously though, we sat in the second row from the screen and it was such an unusual angle to watch a movie. I could not even imagine having to sit in the front row... like. HOW would you even see it?!?!? All in all, the movie experience is SO MUCH better than Regal. So when we plan to come here again, we will get our tickets in advance online and be able to see at a "normal" viewing distance/angle. read more

The theater has a lot to recommend it. Big screens, reclining seats, a well-stocked concessions counter all enhance the experience. But try to get a cup for ice when you buy a $5 bottle of Topo Chico water and their lack of concern for customers becomes apparent. I understand there's a risk that someone might use the cup to steal 20 cents worth of fountain drinks. But when you buy $20 worth of concessions and can't get a cup for ice, something is wrong with customer service. read more

All of the Cinergy locations in the Midland-Odessa area are great, and I love them both. This one is convenient, since it's literally on I-20B, and Its parking lot is huge. The pizza was yummy, and it didn't taste recycled like Chuck E Cheeses. Birthdays are fun, and they're 2 hours long. This is a good movie place, so you can get some PREMIUM POPCORN, and some drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic alike), They have a large variety of snacks that you can buy. They also have stations so you can pour butter on your popcorn and other things. The movie theatre is big and spacious and has good maintenance so that the movie doesn't have any dark spots or bad visuals and stays good. They also have reasonable prices from 10-15 (without popcorn) and 30-35 (big popcorn). They also have an app where you can reserve your spots online, which is a great feature. The arcade is huge, and the play cards can get you playing them, which are also pretty cheap. My movie experience today was very unpleasant. Dawson the manager refused to let me and my friends into the movie even when we got a family friend over 21 to get us into the movie. Then he proceeded to yell and say that this policy was all over the door and posted online. This was a major inconvenience and put a damper on our plans.then proceeded to chase us and say that we need to stop asking other guests to join our family which we weren't we asked ONE family friend. Then to top it all off we had orders food for delivery into the movie and instead on putting it on hold and delivering it to the new movie theater he brought it out on a cardboard platter as seen in the pics below. We had a joint birthday party between my sons since both their birthdays are 3 days apart. We did the director's party package which is very reasonably priced compared to other venues/party places in the area. It was quite easy to make the reservation for the party and they provided everything we needed. I brought extra decorations and cake to fit each of my kids' personalities but everything else was taken care of. The day of went without a hitch. We got the party room and everything was ready. We arrived 20 minutes early and our host was in a great mood and was waiting for us. She made everything flow seamlessly between the arcade cards and games, providing us with food and drinks, helping us get prepared to light the candles on the cake to getting our party together to watch the movie. 10000/10 would do again, especially if anyone is looking for an inside venue during this summer weather. read more

I enjoy the theater, but I have a lot to say about the food. I am very disappointed in the food from Cinergy .. especially the fact that the cost is outrageous and the menu pictures are not a replication of the actual food. I have had nachos and the chips were stale.. and this evening I had chicken chipotle sliders that were dreadful, and they basically cut up a chicken breast and put on bread. Well it was a big disappointment, if you want to spend a lot of money and actually make it worth while go to Odessa. Paid for EPIC seats $33 for two tickets and couldn't order from the theater chair like Odessa. Why pay extra for no upgrade, also the previews just got out 10 minutes before the actual movie. Leaving us with sounds but a blank screen. Definitely a waste of money but Odessa was packed so we took our chances in midland. Never again, the place isn't that bad, games were fun it was small but still giving. Bathrooms were very dirty and experience was lame. The best place in town to watch a movie. I love the recliners and the food is amazing. The only thing holding me back from that 5th Star is the sound quality in the movie theater. Came here on xmas and it was packed. This place is 10x better than chuckie cheese. As you walk in the arcade is to your right and left, above you are these kids walking on this thick rope, and in front of you is the theatre and where you order food. It's pretty compact but tons to do. You buy a game card for $20+ and games run from $1-$3. They had pretty awesome games. You definitely have to watch your kids because there are tons of other kids running around. There's this stuffed animal claw crane game in the back right corner that's pretty easy to play (not like those other cheating claws that don't clamp onto things) we were able to walk out with 10+ stuffed animals!! When I walked into the theater the seating was pretty spacious with a food tray option. The concession area was full of options at reasonable prices. While watching the movie the theater wasn't too crowded but the size of the screen is perfect. I would definitely visit this location again if in the area in the future. I called the theater after noticing the date was incorrect & was promptly told they could not transfer the tickets to the following day or refund my money (BC it was after their 30 minute time frame). I booked these at 4:30pm & the movie was to start at 4:15 (the following day). I'm not sure why the website would let me book tickets for a movie that had already started. $40 shot! Seriously disappointed in Cinergy's customer service. Update: Cinergy responded making like they cared about the mishap. They asked me to email them & the general manager would call me back. So after emailing back & forth with them twice I still have not heard back from the general manager. This has been a bad experience gone worse. Please beware of booking online! read more

Very nice theatre and food was okay (chicken nachos)! Too bad the crowd is complete disrespectful trash!! In the theatre room during the movie our chairs were kicked repeatedly and constant talking. In the food line people were cutting under the rope and going to register while others were waiting in line the correct way. People running into my 3 year old, because they are all complete animals and have zero respect to move over from running over a little toddler. This place needs some sort of monitoring or security to remove these kinds of people! I felt like I was in a big building full of wild animals! This used to be one of my favorite theaters in Midland. Especially with their $5 Tuesday movie night. Their food is extremely overpriced ($50 for my wife and I to have dinner there, I'd rather spend that amount and go to Saltgrass). But the ability to pick my own seats and buy tickets online with o fee (like Fandango has) made up for some of the food prices. But they are getting greedy. They upped the $5 price on Tuesday night movies, and they have now added a service fee for booking online. I guess they figure they have a good enough reputation around Midland that now they can stick it to us and people will keep paying. It's sad seeing a nice place like this get so greedy and quit caring about providing a good service for the sake of service and not an extra fee. read more

The Arcade was so much fun! But the food was so poorly made and cold when it came to us. We paid 50 dollars for cold burgers and cold soggy nachos. I grew up in Midland in the 90's, and I have many fond memories of seeing movies at the theater in the mall, the dollar theater (yes, one dollar to see a movie) off the loop, and the theater by Hasting's. Unfortunately, what is now the Regal Tall City Stadium 14 moved into town. They quickly gained popularity and ran the other theaters out of business. With their competitors out of the picture, the big movie theater jacked up their prices, and the executives probably sat around a large table smoking cigars and laughing maniacally (probably). Since then, most Midlanders have gone to the big theater while making the occasional trip to the drive-in. When I heard about Cinergy opening, I was excited to see a new kid on the block ready to take on the villain. Simba coming back to avenge Mufasa by vanquishing Scar. Unfortunately, Cinergy isn't quite up to the task. I went here a few days ago with my parents and my girlfriend to see the movie Frozen (which was pretty good). Here are some important things about the theater: 1. We didn't have to wait in line to get tickets, because they had touch screen computers that you could buy the tickets from. You also got to select which seats you wanted to sit in. Unfortunately, the theaters are not that big so shows sell out quickly. We had to get tickets to a later showing than we wanted. 2. The seats are terrible. They are extremely uncomfortable, and all of us were constantly shifting around trying (unsuccessfully) to find a better position. 3. The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin has a great concept. You can order food and have it brought out to you during the movie. They have unsuccessfully tried to emulate this at Cinergy. Instead of having tables in front of the chairs and serving you the food directly, they put the food in a pick-up area and you have to awkwardly fumble through the dark during the movie to get it. Also, the food is served in trays that resemble bedpans which can hook onto the seat in front of you. I can see this being a problem if the person in front of you ever shifts their weight during the movie. 4. The movie kept skipping. Seriously? Were they playing it using a bootleg DVD? 5. The place was clean. Hopefully it will stay that way. 6. When you walk in, there's tons of kid-friendly activities like a full arcade, laser tag, etc. However, the problem with making a place too kid-friendly is that it becomes adult-unfriendly. Kids were yelling and carrying-on loudly in the area where we were trying to buy tickets. They should have separated the kid area from the main part of the cinema. 7. The prices were just as high as the Regal ($13 for the evening showing? Seriously?). Tickets aren't even that expensive in San Francisco. As much as I dislike the Regal Cinema, I can't say that this place is a good substitute. read more

My husband and I were in Midland for one night so we thought we would see a movie. When I looked on Yelp, I saw Cinergy got pretty bad reviews but there weren't any other options for the movie we wanted to see. Lesson learned: listen to Yelp!! The theater lets you book your tickets online and reserve your seat which is awesome. When we first walked in there was pure chaos. First you have to battle through hundreds of kids playing video arcade games just to get to the ticket kiosk. Then we headed to the concession line to order food. We read online they have a full menu. After waiting in a long line, we ordered a club sandwich and cookie sundae. The menu said we could add a side salad, but the woman at the counter "didn't know how to add one" so we couldn't get one. We also asked for the ice cream on the side so it didn't melt on the hot cookie. She told us the food would be 45 - 60 minutes (our movie started in 20) so we ordered some popcorn as an appetizer. They gave us our food buzzer and we headed to the long line to enter the theater After sitting down for less than 10 minutes and only a few bites into our popcorn, the buzzer rings!! We meet the food runner to get our food and he doesn't have a tray or silverware for us so we have to wait until he can run and get us some. Isn't that an obvious necessity? The food was horrible! Club sandwich was soggy and the cookie was hard as a rock and cold. Ice cream was on top. We couldn't even eat it ... Unless we had a steak knife! The theater was packed and everyone was quiet and respectful which was surprising because there were SO many teenagers in the lobby. The seats were comfortable and the theater was clean. The last 20 minutes of the film skipped the entire time!!! It was so frustrating and everyone was getting angry. The movie ended and everyone battled their way to the Cinergy exit. The place was still insanely crowded. There were way too many little kids around at 10 pm. Overall our experience was horrible and we will not be coming back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone except 13 years olds trying to find a boyfriend at the ski ball machine... read more

We come to this theater a lot. If you buy your tickets only you can choose your seat ahead of time. If you do a earlier time your tickets are cheaper also, $9.00 or so. I have watched regular and 3-D movies, both were enjoyable. The theaters are kept clean and the seats are comfortable, and they aren't cloth which I like (no need to worry about lice or bed bugs) The food/candy/drinks are extremely over priced which is a downfall..but you can order anything from simple candy and popcorn to pizza and sandwiches. If you order food they give you a buzzer and when your food is ready they come to your theater to deliver it. You can get frozen alcoholic drinks and beer (or a bucket of beer) buying a beer is actually cheaper $3.99 then buying a bottles water! $4.75! Their is also an arcade and other activities inside but we have not done any. Looks like a great place for kids. read more

Been here a couple of times with friends and its always been nice experience. In my opinion, i like the reserved seating feature. I dont need to wait in long lines like traditional theatres do. I can just use that time instead to grab a beer and chill a little bit over there with friends. You can buy beer and wine over there. If you want to buy a bucket (6 beers) , they require two persons over 21 to buy it. They serve food like burgers and pizza and you are given a device that vibrates when your food is ready which you have to pick up at the designated spot in the theatre. Im not so sure if i like that method. This theatre also has lazer tag and over the ceiling ropes course, both of which i havent checked out, but they seem to be fun. Theres comfortable reclining red chairs in the very front... I was pretty tempted to try it, but i just cant sacrifice headache and eye sore for being so close to the screen! read more

I was pretty impressed. I come from Oklahoma, where we have a theater called The Warren that is a perfect 5-star theater with comfortable seats, great screens, alcohol sales, seat side food service, IMAX and more. The Cinergy doesn't compare to the service or comfort of The Warren and the screen wasn't as nice when it came to clarity, but I have no real complaints outside of the fact that the snack bar was ridiculously overpriced. BUT, they have a $5 discount Tuesday - and that includes 3D movies. How cool is that? You also can boy your tickets online in advance and choose your seats, so we got to sit exactly where we wanted. We were running a bit close, but it didn't matter because our seats were out seats. The seats were comfortable and the theater was decently clean for a theater. The staff was friendly and the manager took the time to talk to my son while we were standing and waiting for my wife to come out of the restroom. There is also an amazing game area, but we didn't go there on this visit. We are moving to Midland and I think Tuesday night movies might become a regular thing for us at Cinergy - just not with as big of a snack bar order in the future. read more
