Love em. Using them every time I need to board my dog. Nails trimmed, clean, and didn't want to leave.

I've been taking my dog here since she was a pup and she is always excited to go and comes home tired!

If you're wondering whether or not to take your pet to Big Sky Pet Resort, I would suggest doing it. Our Frenchie absolutely loved that place. If we asked her if she wanted to go to daycare, she'd jump up from a dead sleep raring to go. Whenever we pulled in the parking lot, I'd go to the back seat to get her and she'd be shacking because she was so excited to get inside. Boarding her when we would leave town was another thing we just didn't worry about. My wife was a huge fan of the optional bath before going home option. Unfortunately we left Billings for work reasons. I don't know that we'll ever find anywhere quite as good as Big Sky Pet. Very clean , professional facility with knowledgeable, caring staff. I'd give 10 stars if I could. read more

We've loved Big Sky Pet Resort over the years. Of course the Big Scandal hurt them & we were willing to give them another try. Bummed to find out they don't have enough staff to let the dogs o play outside together anymore. That was the main reason we chose Big Sky. read more

Disappointing, very unorganized. They won't Board a pet for a few hours only for a 24H period, even if you pay for the 24H. Seems sketchy, like isn't anyone there to release the dog. read more

I would have given this spot 5 stars just two weeks ago - however, the owners wiped out all the GREAT employees and are not doing that great of a job as their replacement. I recently brought my dog home from day care - 1. They didn't know my dog's name. 2. No one was sure if my dog even had a harness (which she did) 3. She came home with a weird yellow paper collar around her neck that I have no idea why it was there or why they didn't take it off before sending my dog home. 4. I always buy packages of days - to my surprise when I bought a pack of ten I was informed that I only had 9 days left because no one had warned us that we were out - the other employees always let me know when I was running out. Lastly, I frankly don't care for the attitude of the owners - you can tell they're not nice people - even my dog doesn't care for them. :-( read more

My dog Cody has been visiting Big Sky Pet Resort for daycare for a number of years. He loves his visits there. Not only does he get to expend excess energy, but he has become well socialized with other animals and people. He has mellowed out when in stressful situations. My dog always looks so miserable to come home when I pick him up from this place. Here he gets to play all day with other dogs, frolicking, and everyone knows his name. Instead of keeping the animals in cages all day bored and lonely the staff here interact with them and the dogs have a big room to play in. It also helps that the staff are all animal people who seem happy to be there. We have boarded our little pooch overnight and my biggest concern was him staying on schedule with his potty training. They do take the dogs out to use the potty which is a big plus so they aren't locked up for longer than 8-9 hours during the night. They also had no problem giving him his medication twice a day. I wish I could bring my dog here every day for the daycare. I have complete and total confidence that he is well taken care of and happy during his stay...the proof is seeing him happy and exhausted at the end of the day. I always feel so guilty for taking him away, I swear he gives me the most miserable and disappointed face ever. read more

Big Sky Pet Resort - Schedule of doggie activities for the week - Pet Sitting Near Me - Billings, Montana

We arrived in Billings the first week of August. The hotel wanted too much money to have our 2 cats (both are over 10 years old and sleep a lot, as well as being neutered). We found Big Sky from a tip at the hotel from one of the staff. We had checked out another facility, but they had too much red tape to board our cats. The staff here were friendly, courteous and accommodating. One of our cats had an ear infection (they discovered), and they recommended a good veterinarian for him. They also administered his medication for the time he was there. He's better now. In all, our pets were there over 2 months. They were well handled and well fed every day by a professional staff of real pet lovers. Their fees are reasonable, the care is exceptional. read more

This place was horrible. A few years ago I left my dog there for boarding. When I came to pick her up she was skinny, smelled like urine and feces, and they never returned her blankets or toys to me. Many complaints and calls to get in touch with Jen the manager and/or the owners. Never got contacted back at all. Now I see that girl running things and still handling pets at The Cottage in Laurel. She needs to not be managing or handling animals at all. read more

It was my first time leaving my pet with a resort and every single time I called it was an unorganized mess. His vaccination records were under a different name than his real name because we rescued him from an animal shelter, but they kept calling him the old name although I reminded them several times. I called later that evening to see how my dog was adjusting and they had a mix up and told me over the phone that I must have the wrong location, but I assured them my dog is with them. I called ahead of time to let them know the person that would be picking up my dog that night and when that person got there to pick up my dog, they had no record or note of me calling and wouldn't give them my dog. They also forgot to give back my dogs bed and so the person picking up had to remind them. The whole thing was just a stressful mess on the administrative side. I will say the people were very nice to me and showed me around when I originally dropped off my dog, but even then I would not recommend. read more

This place is awesome all around. The employees are all super helpful and friendly. They know exactly who you and your dog. Is. It is indoor and climate climate controlled and there is supervision at all times which I feel is super important for doggie daycare. I had my dog groomed there as well and i don't think she ever had such a good haircut. It is maybe a few dollars more expensive, but well worth it read more

We come up to Billings A few times a month in the summer. It is always too hot for us to think of keeping our dogs in the car as we shop. We discovered big sky pet care three years ago and have been very pleased with their service. The dogs love going there and the staff has always been very nice. We have also used the big sky pet resort near Phoenix Arizona and were just as pleased. read more

Let me just say if I could give these people zero Stars I would.I'm an over-the-road truck driver and had a bad fall and broke two ribs I got into an emergency situation because of the Fall I could not bring both my dogs with me and had to find a place to board them fast.I decided just to board my two-year-old and keep my 13 year old with me unfortunately it was a Saturday and her vet was closed that had given her the shots.all I had was a record from another vet that I had taken her two of the shots given by her regular vet.unfortunately the shot record fax there from her regular vet wasn't very clear but it did show that she had distemper parvo and bordetella + rabies on June 15th of 2018. The two women working in the clinic apparently do not know how to read shut records because they kept insisting she did not have a distemper shot.The one blond Captain Sissy and there was no dates on her record although it was clearly June 15th 2018 and would not accept the shot records.she also kept insisting there was no distemper shot on the records.I realize the record wasn't good and the BET had not put the name of the clinic on it and I begged her to let Daisy stay there because it showed that she did have her shots and I would never get her a better record on Monday and she flatly refused to help. It seems to have become a point with her to show me that she was in charge when I became angry she became more difficult to work with.these people have no compassion no understanding do not care about your pet the pet safety or your problems and I would not recommend anybody to take their animal there. They knew the situation I could have gotten them better records on Monday they refused to help and made it clear that they didn't care even when I told them I had lost control of her that morning because of my broken ribs and she'd run into the middle of the interstate I was concerned for her safety and that's why I needed to board her they made it clear they couldn't care less. I ended up boarding her with a much more compassionate understanding boarding facility who immediately saw the distemper shot and the dates of the shots on her shot record. They couldn't understand why they couldn't see the distemper shot it was the first line next to the date they claimed wasn't on the record. The woman at big sky pet resort kept insinuating also that I was lying about Daisy having the shots and kept insinuating that Daisy would infect her whole facility because she wasn't vaccinated. I would give this some facility a wide berth as I want anything connected with the name big sky pet in Billings. read more

Let me preface this by saying that we boarded our dogs here a year previous to this time and had no issues, though it appears that they have had some staff turnover. Our dogs have been completely out of sorts since returning home from boarding here. The first night they were in their care, they didn't get fed. Apparently the girl didn't understand a lot of the instructions that my husband gave her. I was also in the room, so I heard them as well. I was really uneasy of their hours. They leave the business at 8 at night and don't return until 6 or 7 the next morning. I can imagine the mess they arrive to find...I have been finding it in my house after bringing my dogs home, they will need to have that behavior re-corrected. My dogs were sick for a few days after returning. Not eating, vomiting and diarrhea. Upon further digging with the facility, we found that they were concerned that one of my dogs had a loose stool and decided to give him rice and separate my two dogs.....all without a phone call to us! My two dogs get severe anxiety if not together, especially while not at home! The dogs both came home extremely stressed. Not to mention we called to check on the dogs numerous times while we were gone and were never told of any of this. We got the vibe that they were annoyed by our calling. I expect a better level of care especially for the price and will not be using their services in the future. read more

When I went to pick up my dog after four days they told me that we ran out of food so they didn't feed him. They told me to next time to better prepare. I was very mad and confused since I give them a new bag of dog food. Once I got my stuff back I opened my dog bag there was the new bag of dog food with treats. They didn't even look!!!!
