I had high hopes when we first dropped off our cat, we were taken to the area where he would be…read moreboarded and had the chance to put him in the "kennel" (I don't know the right word) ourselves with his blanket and toys. We paid upfront and there was a military discount so our $100 total was now $90 We made our reservation during the Memorial Day weekend for our 4th of July trip because our regular boarding place (MLVH) was full and we did not make them early enough. P&C was available so we booked. We were told by the person on the phone (didn't catch the name) that they would be open on the 4th for pick up only from 4-5pm. (Like their Sunday hours). MLVH is 24 hours access regardless of holiday(it's an emergency vet) so I was not very comfortable at the idea of not having access to him at any point, and we didn't know if we would be able to pick up in that time frame. We made it back to Billings on July 4 and arrived at P&C around 3:50 and called 3 times after 4:00pm, there was no answer I returned to P&C by 6:50am July 5 and they opened early and I went in to retrieve my cat. I was greeted by Kate at the desk who called back for My cat and they brought him in his carrier, the food we had provided and a blanket that was not his. They went back to retrieve the right blanket and I noticed that his food was not completely used. (I will attach pics) We provided two large ziplock bags with pre portioned food and a sheet with instructions in each bag on how to feed our cat, a morning bag of food and an evening bag. on the slip they have you fill out at drop off, we noted that feeding instructions were in the bags, and when we took him to the back at drop off, they told us that we could leave his food on his carrier and they would get the food from there. The evening bag appeared to have not been touched at all, My cat had only been fed once a day for his time there, half of the total amount of food he receives daily. I was heartbroken. My cat has very clearly lost weight during his time at P&C. I spoke to Kate again and asked about the feeding habits they have at P&C and she reassured me that he should have been fed as instructed and that they do it differently than the dogs, the instructions given for cats were what are to be followed. She took my contact information and told me that her employer would be reaching out to me to talk about my cats stay. Kelly called at 4pm and asked about the experience and told me that she had spoke to the person who had first taken in my cat and said that they had only noticed one of the bags, and did not do any further investigation about additional food,I find this had to believe because we left both bags on his carrier as instructed, and they were right next to each other. You could not touch one without touching the others. She told me that he always had food in his bowl, as cats can have a hard time adjusting to boarding places and do not always eat. (We incentivize his eating with wet evening food, but he never received that.) His morning portion could not have been nearly enough for a whole day. I asked why the wrong blanket was brought out when I picked him up when we placed him in the "kennel" with his own blanket and she tried to reassure me that the people cleaning the "kennel" probably had not realized that it was his personal blanket, that it could have been P&C's blanket. I don't know if that means that it was shared with other cats, but we will be washing it just in case. I brought up how we were told when making the reservation that we would be able to pick up our cat on the 4th, but Kelly told me that Christmas, Thanksgiving, and 4th of July are the only holidays that they are closed and was apologetic to hear that no one was available to pick up the phone, but of course there is always someone with the dogs, and the cats too. Kate had told me earlier that the only holidays that they are closed are Christmas and 4th of July. My cat was really agitated on our way home, but Kelly tried to assure me that he had a great time at P&C and she remembers him specifically. I don't know how true that is. I won't make the mistake of not booking my regular boarding place soon enough. I won't put my cat at risk of losing more weight, of not being properly fed, of potentially having his personal items giving to other animals, of not being able to pick him up when I'm told I can, and not having access to get him whenever I can. P&C may be a fine place for dogs, as most of the discussion is centered around dogs, but it is not a great place for a cat. MLVH Has a lower rate, has 24hr pick up and drop off, and sends updates of our cat directly to our phone uninstructed and has never once had a problem with our feeding instructions.

When I walked in, there's nothing super glam or trendy to make you think "oooh this place is so chic." However, I couldn't help but feel warmth and comfort as we came in. It's a large open main room where the dogs in their spacious kennels can watch for their owners to come get them. My dog didn't have a heart attack when we entered and the owner was amazingly kind and gracious. Not only that, but they're one of the most affordable places in town for what they offer. When I picked my pup up, he was calmly waiting for me in his kennel, jumping up when he saw me come in, since he's not tucked away somewhere in the back. She let him out and he came trotting up, looking as handsome as can be with his new bath and cut. He wasn't a nervous wreck, he wasn't upset, and he doesn't mind going back. I will recommend them to everyone looking for a groomer. Their care is just the best!

I have boarded my dog and cat there when I had to go out of town. They sent pictures to me of them playing with my dog, when they took him out for some fresh air. My dog loves going there because they all treat him so good! I would definitely recommend them. Dr Rob and Dr Slade are caring and dedicated veterinarians, and I trust them completely to take care of my beloved pets. All of the staff there are dedicated to taking care of the animals with affection and compassion, and I appreciate each and every one of them!

The entire staff was incredibly kind, and the doctor didn't try to sell me on a bunch of additional treatments. I left paying an incredibly small amount for a rabies vaccine and a full exam. Fast forward a year and a my doggie had a dental emergency. I knew I didn't want to go anywhere else, so I waited for the morning and they got me in same day. I saw a different doctor who was equally amazing. We knew we needed to get his tooth out asap (very infected and swollen) so he was able to rearrange the schedule and get him in first thing the next morning. We ended up doing a full cleaning while he was out, and I told him to do x rays and other services to his discretion. He ended up not needing to, and was able to keep my bill to a minimum. I was SHOCKED that with all the services we received I was able to keep the bill under $1,000. (Eval, difficult extraction, anesthesia, cleaning, rabies booster, additional meds during procedure, etc.) It's a great feeling to know that your pet is in the hands of someone who is truly just trying to do what is best for them and not to inflate the bill. They dealt with my anxiety with ease and even my dog didn't seem to be on edge. 100% recommend taking your pet to this place.

This past month the Vet charged us $700 for a dog ear infection then charged us $50 to check the ear out on a return check up visit that they said was all inclusive. ***Dr. Galvin review*** my 5 yr old German Shepherd was in pain after he fell wrong from jumping…read moreoff our almost 3ft retaining wall. He was barely walking. I call BFAH (3.25.23)to have him seen as an ER appt. The front desk staff was great with getting him in. The vet tech (I don't remember her name) was very kind and sweet to my boy. I thought this is great! He will get help. Then, Dr. Galvin came in and went up behind my dog (he wasn't muzzled as he was not ever an aggressive dog) and grabbed his back. My dog of course started barking and growling to which Dr. Galvin was SCREAMING at me to pull my dog (he wasn't able to move but I did pull him back in case he was going to bite which he has never done.) Dr. Galvin then stated, "I am leaving, I am leaving the building." I understand being shocked, stressed or mad about my dog barking and growling, BUT you are a vet and know animals can not speak on what/where anything is hurting. Even right after she left the tech came in and my dog was fine with her, not a peep from him. She finally came back in the room about 15 minutes later (my dog is still not muzzled and when she came in all he did was lay down) she gave us two medications and stated that he needs to be muzzled and sedated if she wants to do x-rays then left.Dr. Galvin stated that, "today is not going to happen for xrays and sedation" even though my dog clearly was in pain and not walking 100%. I got my dog to another vet (on Sunday 3.26.23) to have them check him. They said he needed a CT as he has a spinal injury. (They also had no issues with him when they did their testing and we muzzled him for the back half exam to which all he did was a low soft growl.) The ONLY place to get a CT (in Billings) is at BFAH. I called Monday morning to get him in for a CT I was rudely told they have to wait for a referral. I asked why when they saw him on Saturday, again I was told "because we need a referral and we have an opening on Thursday or next week." I told the lady that my dog has gotten worse and now is not walking at all, but was told the same thing about waiting for a referral. I was trying to manage my dogs pain as he got worse and worse to have them call me late Tuesday afternoon to do a CT on Friday. I ended up having to put my 5 yr old dog down Wednesday do to him not being able to move any longer, not eatting and whining all day in pain. Dr. Galvin needs to be fired and I will never ever recommend them to anyone unless you just want your animal to die. The other vet also gave his more pain pills and stated, "he is a big dog she should have given you a higher dose of medication." I called today(3.30.23) and spoke with the manager who stated the director was not in until next week but they will review this and get back to me. She also stated that Dr. Galvin doesn't do big aggressive dogs. WHY THE HELL is she a vet then???? So, thank you Dr. Galvin for having no compassion, no bedside manner, no follow up calls during this process or concern for the pain my dog was in. I truly hope one day some doctor treats you the way you have treated my dog. You are a horrible provider and person. If I could give you negative stars I would.

The staff was super friendly and accommodated my dog's needs on such short notice. The vet herself was very friendly and kind to my dog. Also the atmosphere and rooms were very nice and clean! She was treated warmly and felt comfortable right away. The facility is beautiful, new and modern. Didn't smell like a veterinarian hospital so she didn't put her brakes on when she started walking through the front door. Below her eye she had gotten a bump and her eye was swelling. Thinking maybe a yellow jacket or bug bit her. They gave me antibiotics for it. Cleared up in less than a week. They did a thorough check of her and found she did have a broken toe nail, so she got a nail trim also. I did notice they have a sign that if you get 4 nail trimmings, the 5th is free.
