I love this place!! Last month I decided to go for it and purchase the $39.99 monthly subscription, and it is beyond worth it - I can go every single day for the entire month and get the $20 wash all for the price of just two washes. The suction on their free vacuums is far stronger than it used to be, and they've added attachments to the ends to get into those hard-to-reach corners and crevices. "Big Steve" and his crew have been nothing but polite and friendly to me, and they're all very knowledgeable about their different services and subscriptions. I have had a membership plan for a short while and have to say, I haven't had the issues most seem to have... I have black vehicle and it comes out clean, bright and shiny... Only issue is that I need to run a towel around to dry up some spots the blowers missed. I have the 39.99 plan, and even if I only used it once a week, I would have spent WAYYYY more than that each month on single washes somewhere else. I do feel a little guilty using it so much, but it says UNLIMITED, so.... Sometimes though, the help seems a little bitchy about seeing me go through so much... but overall they've been friendly. read more

The car wash is on my way to and from work so I started using it, eventually opting for their $20/monthly program for all the washes I want. At the end of the winter I requested that my subscription be cancelled, stopped getting washes there, and forgot about it. Then about 7 months later I discovered that apparently the subscription had mistakenly not been cancelled and I was charged for the entire time. Obviously not pleased, I called my credit card company and they credited me back the last four months, which was all they could do. So I contacted Steve's and they happily refunded me the difference. In cash! No credits. No questions asked. No attempts to get me to extend my subscription. No scolding for not paying closer attention. Just the cash. And on top of that, I got a call apologizing for the mistake directly from "Steve." Yes, the owner of Big Steve's is in fact Steve. Yeah, I understand that there are problems with any business, and going through car washes is always a bit unnerving as you never know what might happen. But the fact they fixed a mistake that I honestly expected to blamed for speaks, in my opinion, pretty highly of this firm's integrity. Car only gets partially washed, lower part & rear of the car still dirty. Soap isn't washed thoroughly on the side mirrors, so LOTS of spots. Rims continue to get scratched with each wash. The $20 a month for the full package has doubled & if you stay with the $20 plan, it's a very basic wash. "Free" vacuums never work & none of them have any suction. Trash cans are always overflowing. They cram cars in within inches of each other & you know it's an accident waiting to happen. You call & all you get is voicemail & no one calls you back. DO NOT bring your car here!! Ran my brand new car through and it ripped a large piece of molding off the side of my car. The workers then make you feel like it's your fault. "Did you hit something inside the wash?" one of them asked me. Duh, the car is on a track, how am I going to hit something? How idiotic is that? Visiting a friend in town I would always stop at Big Steve's. Drove through yesterday and here was no line around 2 PM. After interrupting the attendants smoke break and texting session, I paid for the $10 car wash specifically for the tire shine. Attendant didn't wet brush the back of my Jeep. The car came out still dirty with bird poop on the back window , window still dirty and brush marks all over the lift gate and back quarter panel. All the reviews are right- I shouldn't have gone there. They didn't help me line up my car on the track, so I was really worried about my wheels the whole time I was going through. My car was not cleaned but it was scratched. Aaaaaaaannnnd, as some other comments also mention, the free vacuums really do have NO suction. Don't bother getting the tire shine it only does half the tire. If the line is long they speed up the belt and you barely get the soap off.

I wish I could give negative stars. First, I paid for a 7 dollar wash, gave a 20 and did not get change. When I asked for change, the attendant pretended not to hear me as he passed me and went to the car behind me. As I made a louder inquisition, I was told I was holding up the line. The second attendant was also getting angry as he was trying to line me up on their conveyor system. He kept mumbling the instructions. I confronted him about my missing change and he also gave me a hard time. So, I will never go here again. Used to be a deal a few years ago. For a $3 wash and unlimited vacuum time, it felt like stealing. Now after a wash, my car is still dirty. I usually go through twice. Regardless dirt still remains. Often the place is packed and cars are sent back to back so I assumed the scrubber are just swishing around grit and grime from previous cars. But I recently went on a rainy day when no one was ahead of me and I still emerged with dirty spots and SCRATCHES all along the top edges (perhaps roof too). The wash is not being thoroughly maintained. Their carelessness shows as litter lines the parking/vacuuming area. When the $3 wash still left a mess I went around to express my disappointment, hoping that this time the lazy scrubber guy would consider doing more than splashing my rear window, and perhaps I'd be offered another wash. I've been to this place four times now and each time I've had the same experience. The first time I went, I asked for the $6 wash then gave the guy my credit card and he sold me a $14 wash and then walked away. Today I went and I asked for a $3 wash, gave the attendant my card and he rolled his eyes and grumbled then ripped the card out of my hand. When he came back, the card and receipt were thrown at me and I was charged for a $6 wash. I am not the only one this has happened to either. My friend went through and asked for the basic wash and they overcharged her card too. The actual wash itself is good for the most part. The times I've been prior, they usually wash the back down before sending you through the wash. For the last two times they have not and the back of my car comes out just as dirty as it went in. Further, the soap or water they use leaves white residue. On a positive note, I do like the wheel and rim cleaner though... Free vacuums are hardly worth waiting for. To say the vacuum suck would just be ironic and a lie. Rarely is there enough suction to pick up any dirt. Lesson learned, only go there with cash and don't bother waiting for the "Free vacuums". I'd rather bay $.75 down the street then waste my time here. read more
