I went to this tailor for the first time on June 29, when I brought in six pairs of men's chino…read moretrousers. I needed the waists altered. The proprietor and his teenage son were there. Both were pleasant with me. Since my request was pretty basic, the tailor didn't have any problem with accommodating me, complete with promising a fairly quick turnaround, namely the following Monday, July 6. When I retrieved my items, they were folded neatly and placed in the shopping bag I used to bring them in. More importantly, when I tried my pants, they were perfectly tailored. Couldn't be happier with the quality of the job done. So, why the one-star deduction? It has to do with when I picked up my order on July 8. I had to wait a couple of extra days because when I arrived on July 6, I found a hastily written sign taped to the inside of the front door saying that the shop would be closed until 7/7. Needless to say, the lights were out. A bit disconcerting, to say the least. I tried calling, in addition to going back again the next day, all to no avail. Fortunately, when I returned again on the 8th, everything was back to normal. The son greeted me, then found my order. The tailor, in turn, came out to say hello. Like before, both were quite pleasant with me. Plus, I received a small discount. I guess, as they say, all's well that ends well.
