The apple fritter contains walnuts and I wasn't informed of that. Most apple fritters do not contain nuts. My co worker had to use her epi pen. When I called the store the young sounding girl couldn't have cared less, she stated very matter of factly that all smiths apple fritters have walnuts, as if someone who has never purchased one would know that. I called just to let them know to inform their customers but it fell Upon deaf ears... so buyer beware if you have a walnut allergy.

There's also a Jack in the Box next door, and local vendors often sell tacos, honey, and veggies nearby. Great stop all around -- reliable charging, lots of food options, and easy in‑and‑out.

I occasionally get gas here and the prices are always better than most of the local gas stations. I read a review by someone and they complained that credit cards are not accepted. This is true but, I'm surprised that this person didn't know that this is a corporate policy and has been in place for many years. The local owners do not have the option to accept credit cards. That is part of the reason Arco is able to provide competitive pricing. The location is a bit tricky to get in and out of, but it is conveniently located.

This was James Dean's last stop before he got into a fatal accident hence his huge cutout outside the gas station. Store was spacious with lots of different snack particularly nuts. This Arco/AMPM meets this criteria of easy access and clean restrooms. As a bonus the gas is on the cheaper side in Buttonwillow and the AMPM has every sort of drink or snack you could think of. If you are near Buttonwillow on the 5, need gas and have to use the restroom this is a safe stop. Warning: be cautious of entering if the person in front of you has been in the restroom for awhile. These are private restrooms and entering after a long wait could be troublesome.

We were able to sit ourselves and start browsing the large menu. There were options for everyone here! The down town are is so cute! Our server was very busy but still made time to answer menu questions, deliver drinks and food with a smile. It was such a good vibe here.
