One of the best burritos i've ever had. They took care of us like we were locals the second we walked in. Not a single complaint this place was amazing

I called in 7 breakfast burritos for work and Gus had them ready in no time. I got great customer service and plenty of salsa! Everyone at my work liked the burritos and asked where did I get them at. There are seats inside to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Give Gus Restaurant a try. Pay no attention to the one star review.

Made a quick stop here after getting gas at Costco to get some food before we continued our trip to Joshua Tree. I love my breakfast burritos and knew I had to try theirs! The diner is uniquely and conveniently placed inside the gas station on the right as soon as you walk in. I got the their most popular one, which was the bacon, ham, and sausage with the option to add gravy in and it was absolutely delicious! It had a ton of shredded hash brown and other key ingredients (meats, egg, and cheese), which was consistent with every bite! Potato lovers like myself will appreciate this! Lol. It was my first time having a breakfast burrito with gravy in it and it worked! The lady who assisted me was super nice and the food came out fast! Definitely planning to come back!

I was craving a simple breakfast burrito, hearty and filling and I got exactly that. I pulled up and was pleased that it was at a gas station. I personally love little mom and pop shops. Breakfast burrito was really good, the bacon was thick cut and kind of reminded me of carnitas in a way! Loved it. I should've added avocado, highly recommend you do it. Also, really good salsas. Loved the green the best! My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy and that was also really good. And I know my biscuits and gravy. For a little hole in the wall spot, this is it! Friendly women took my order, amazing service! Would definitely recommend!

Bacon breakfast burrito! Really good and big!

Great bacon burrito! Fresh and tasty, highly recommended! Very big. Definitely would get again when in the area. It's Inside the gas station.

A family owned restaurant within a gas station has so much to offer. Didn't expect much to start with but got blown away by our breakfast burrito. It was very tasty. Spicy salsa was indeed spicy and great. I wanted a bottle of it. Quick service. Friendly people.

Had a break while getting some car work done in this area and decided to pop in to this little hole in the wall gas station spot. Smelled amazing upon entering. My husband ordered the carne asada burrito and I got the asada tacos and one chili verde taco. The tacos were HUGE but just meat and cheese not a traditional street taco you'd expect, no onion or cilantro and they used shredded cheddar cheese they were okay. My husbands burrito was also huge but not a lot of meat and the salsa is watery and way too spicy for the average person and I like spicy! I think the appeal here is the portion size, probably great place to grab a burrito during a long work day and while the food was okay it wasn't anything great. If I valued quantity over quality this would have been more to my liking but I'd rather have less and better food. The place is clean for what you'd expect and the lady taking our order was polite. The rest of the customers seemed to be people headed to or taking a break from work, probably regulars. I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

Just got the bacon breakfast burrito and it was amazing. Inside was bacon, hash browns, eggs and cheese. Everything was crispy and delicious. Burrito was massive. Salsa was spicy and flavorful. Burrito was about 14 bucks but it was worth every penny.

This place is amazing. Don't let the gas station fool you! Super friendly, foods delicious, like going to your grandmother's house.

This time we tried the croissant sandwich, the sunshine breakfast plate, and the French toast combo. When the French toast came out I was worried at first. It didn't look like it was cooked well enough but I was so wrong...it was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I was most excited about being able to order turkey bacon though. My daughter said her sandwich was good and my husband said his pancakes, bacon, sausage, ham, eggs and potatoes were great. This place has some great food and I will continue to go and try something different every time.

The eggs were well poached, nice and runny yolk. The meat portion was good, it was a touch salty. Muffin was toasted well and the hash browns were good. The hollandaise sauce was a touch heavy on the lemon but I still enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly when I entered as well so the service was good. The setback for me was the price tag, it was almost $18 for just the benedict with hash brown, no drink or anything else. It's a bit high, I think for the quality and taste if it were a few bucks cheaper I'd give pretty high praise. Still, it was a pretty good experience and I'll probably give it another shot down the road.

The second was almond butter and banana with cocoa nibs, honey, and cinnamon. The third was Nutella and hazelnuts topped with strawberries and coconut flakes. They were all delicious, but my favorite was definitely the Nutella and hazelnut toast. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the variety made it fun to share and try different combinations. Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance is a cute cafe vibe. You place order at the counter and someone brings your order to your table. SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
