After talking to Tony, there was no need to talk to anyone else. It was very late on a Thursday afternoon when I called, and I was very happy he was able to come see me on Friday. He told me he would identify the problem, provide me with solutions and estimates, and fix it on the spot if I chose to do so. He immediately saw the spring was broken, had the necessary parts with him, and fixed it extremely quickly and at a price lower than I was expecting. He pointed out to me the springs on our 3rd car door were also old and likely wouldn't last too much longer. I will definitely be calling Tony when that time comes!

My husband mixed up my day off and scheduled it for Wednesday between 10-12, he quickly realized the error and called back to have the appointment moved to Tuesday for the same time, which they claimed they could accommodate and would call 20 minutes prior to their arrival. Tuesday at 12:30 we called them since no one had called or shown up. They never moved the Wednesday appointment but offered to come between 3 and 6pm that evening, again with a promise to call 20 minutes before, and again, no call and no one showed up.

In my mind, there were only a few possibilities: the lines needed to be re-pitched, the ditch connection needed to be lowered, or the whole system was somehow hydraulically inadequate. I had this drainage system installed just last fall, so the idea that it could already be clogged seemed impossible. Enter A+ Gutters & Drains. They came out the very same day I called. After I walked them through my highly sophisticated theory of grades, elevations, pitch, and drainage design, we headed to the discharge point at the street ditch. The technician took one look and smiled. "There really shouldn't be a glued-on end cap with a tight grill on it. These tend to back up and clog." "No way. Not already," I replied. "Would you like me to check?" he asked. A few minutes later, after attempting to pry it off with a screwdriver, the cap ultimately had to be cut off with a Sawzall. What was waiting inside? Inches of roof shingle granules, debris, and enough gunk to completely prove my engineering theory wrong. In about five minutes, A+ solved the mystery that I had mentally escalated into a full-scale drainage reconstruction project. To their credit, they graciously cut off the other problematic caps as well and explained why they were destined to clog. No upsell. No unnecessary work. Just an honest diagnosis and a simple fix. As I stood there processing the fact that my "catastrophic drainage failure" was really just a blocked outlet, the technician smiled and said, "Bring on the rain." And with that, he was off. Was my ego slightly bruised? Absolutely. Did A+ save me from chasing an expensive problem that didn't actually exist? Also absolutely. I only wish I had called them first. From now on, A+ Gutters & Drains will be my first call for anything related to gutters, drainage, or water management. Fast response, honest expertise, and a team willing to save customers from their own overthinking. That's a combination that's hard to beat.

The estimator recommended replacing the existing gutters around the entire house with a larger size ($10-12K) - completely ignoring the root cause of the issue. As this expense was outside our budget, his recommendation was to call back in a few years when I had enough money saved to pay for it!!! An immediate fix was needed... he reluctantly agreed to provide an estimate to relieve the affected gutter by adding a new downspout in a different location to connect with the underground drain line where it was flowing properly. I contacted two other gutter & drain companies and amazingly their first advice was to do the latter (add a downspout)... and both quotes came in less than half the cost I was quoted from A+ Gutters & Drains. Providing a cost-effective resolution was not in their best interest. Be aware!

When he takes you to small claims court demanding to be paid, have your resolution contractors quotes to fix the initial problem you hired him for and additional problems he created. You will need these to offset his claim. I have never been to small claims and I didn't know this now you do. Look elsewhere.

Once we booked the job with them, Ann did a great job keeping us informed about the timeline of when the job would be starting. Justin was the team member to do a majority of the work at our house. He was very polite and was very helpful in his communication in letting us know how the job was progressing and did a great job keeping the workspace clean at the end of every day and at the end of the project. He even went above and beyond in repairing and repainting some things that were not done properly by the original home builder. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for enhancements to their home. We will be using them again for any remodeling projects.
