This is home to many full-time RVers. The facility is well maintained. The staff is helpful and polite. There are free shuttles to a famous local restaurant. It proudly presents what outsiders think of when they think "Texas." They honor Good Sam and military discounts. It's close to I-40 and numerous places for truck and auto services. On the other hand, its over-the-air TV and WIFI-less except for the main office. Frankly, working cable and available WIFI is a nicety in most RV parks today. It's interesting we've given up on these things we'd expect in any home today. They are in close proximity to an airport, train tracks and Interstate 40. For some reason, I never really noticed how noisy the place is. It was just background. I slept well there. read more

Awesome dog runs !! 3 dog runs with grass and well lit at night . Coming from Nevada , Arizona and New Mexico where if they did have runs they were dirt or rocks with no lights . Rundown, Overpriced, and Horrible Customer Service. In five years of RVing, this is easily the worst park that we have stayed at. The office staff is disorganized and unfriendly; the park is filled with broken concrete roads and sidewalks; and the sites are mostly crab grass, gravel and ground up asphalt. Most of the perimeter sites are filled with full time residents. The park is nestled in the middle of a questionable neighborhood. Perhaps this is why they have closed off two of the three entrances. Plan accordingly as your navigation system will invariably lead you to an entrance that is no longer open. The Wifi is mediocre during the day and useless at night (when the park fills up with overnight campers). There is excellent coverage from both Verizon and AT&T. TV antenna reception is limited to a handful of channels. If you want cable TV, you will need to get a cable box from the office. Once you stay here you will understand the "No Refunds" policy; they are clearly afraid of loosing money to campers that what to leave as soon as they arrive. The management upholds "the customer is always wrong" mantra, particularly when they are at fault. In our particular case, a clerk-in-training overcharged us on a seventeen night stay. We notified the office of this issue on the fifth day of our stay. We asked for a one night refund, but were refused. Do yourself a favor and avoid this rundown dump. You can get the same experience for free by staying at a truck stop. read more

Convenient off I-40 RV park. The place was clean and the people were friendly. They have a free limo that takes you to the Big Texan Steakhouse which was a great evening. Problem is they try to stack people on tip old each other. Don't let them put you in 114A or B. These sites are so close you could touch the neighboring camper out the window. Could hear everything and their heating coming on and off all night. The problem was they had huge site open just a few sites down so it wasn't necessary. If last resort and camper knew of the sites with a reduced price is one thing. read more

My husband and I are traveling through Texas and we stopped here overnight. We were getting ready to leave the next morning when my husband suddenly fell ill. I went to the office to see if we could stay an extra day as my husband was in no condition to drive. As it turns out our spot had already been reserved for someone else but the lady in the office was kind enough to make it possible for us to stay in our spot. The staff were so kind and helpful. We are stopping over our 4 days turned into 5 days. Place is supper clean and the staff are Amazing. The ladies at the front desk were super nice. They even suggested places to visit while we were here. So glad for the recommendations. Our fur babies loved the 1 of 3 dog parks. Nice folks. Very clean restrooms and spacious. Neighborhood around is a little rough with bars on the windows and doors. Nice indoor pool (rare to see in a rv park) and a few fenced in areas to let your dog run and play. The staff even gave a treat bag when we checked in. That was a really nice touch! read more

Fantastic park. We spent a week here relaxing and looking around Amarillo. The staff is very friendly as well as professional. A limo is provided to take you to the steak house and return. Next to the campground is a park with zip line, food and music on selected nights. The campground is easy to find and close to the tourist sites that we traveled to. This is a great RV Park as you're passing through on the 40. The rates are perfect and the amenities are good. They offer a free shuttle service to The Big Texan which is about 2 miles away. They say it's a "limo" which it technically is but it's more like a 3 row old fashioned sedan, still fun and convenient though! The RV Park offers free coffee and homemade donuts in the morning. Arlene works in the front office and is very friendly, kind and helpful! There's a little playground for the kids and an indoor pool! We were able to stay hitched up to the truck, we were over 45 feet long! This is not a luxury RV Park, but a perfect overnight one with big pull through sites. read more

The park itself is okay, not super great but not bad. There are 3 dogs runs and I visited 2 which were clean but for some reason it seemed many people do not pick up after their dogs and I had the unfortunate experience of watching 4 different people leave their dogs waste throughout the park even though we were given a doggie treat bag with dog bones and waste bags in it! I have not witnessed this in any other of the parks I have stayed in. I did not use any of the amenities so I can not speak to them. read more

Great RV stop if overnighting in Amarillo. Solid RV Park with very decent accommodations, but best of all is the limo ride to The Big Texan for a great steak dinner. Very sweet people running this place. I ran into Willette (I apologize if I misspell your name!) who was keeping the bathrooms tidy and was sweet as can be. We have a little 14' trailer and one of the outlets went out at 4 AM which killed our heat. Arlene, at the front desk, gave us a complimentary night stay and some cute Amarillo pins for our trouble. Would highly recommend. First place we've had that serves complimentary coffee and donuts as well. Look forward to staying here again. read more

I cannot give this place big enough reviews. The service, oh my gosh! The spot we are in is flat and they were accommodating to finding us a more "private" location away from most other campers. The limo ride, wow!!! The drivers we had were super kind and friendly and best of all the ride is free! There is a dog park here (we didn't bring our dog though), I see a zip line, and an indoor HEATED pool! How amazing is that?! Totally recommend this place! It's been the highlight of the trip so far. read more

Great place to stay if you are passing through with an RV. They have big spots for pull throughs. They are close to the Big Texan restaurant home of the 72oz steak and will offer you a ride in a Texas limo to it so that's fun. Staff is friendly cable is not that's the bummer they'll loan you a box. But you must return it by 8 am. read more

Where to begin... They broke the rear window to my truck, which kept us in Amarillo even longer than we wanted, making us cancel our future plans completely. Besides them fixing the window, they didn't clean up the glass out of my truck or replace the custom Veteran sticker I got from a friend who passed away. On top of that, my service animals bed got covered in glass, not sure if vacuuming will get all that out (it's Texas, just throw some dirt on it)! Regardless, this place is truly a scumy place, because we had to stay another day to get the window fixed, then promptly at 11, they are trying to kick us out. This lady was rude and pushy, saying we had to leave and that she didn't hear anything from Bill about staying longer because they have new people coming for the spot we were in. Guess what, I looked around and every single spot around me was open. Apparently, the manager didn't relay that we were leaving later after the window shop completed their work. Nice finish to our stay! Let's get more into the pet aspect: -Their so called dog park; 20 foot by 20 foot, then the big dog one is 30 foot by 20 foot. Kinda a bait and switch to get you into the park, because a dog park is a place where you can play fetch with your dog and let your dog run around. -We had to buy a tick and flea collar for our animal... you get the picture. -Watch out for the Goat Heads, it's like thumb tacks (further description below)! About the grounds: -The park use to be completely mobile homes, there are still some on the grounds. They parking areas are not really parking areas, but old mobile home parking areas so don't park in them or they will tell you to move (no signs about this). - The grass they have is a mix from gravel to a form of weed type grass. Actually, it's mostly weeds and unpleasant to walk on with shoes even. -They have this weed called 'Goat Head' or 'Bindii' or properly known as 'Tribulus terrestris'. If you step on this plant it will go through your shoe. If you ride over this plant on a bike, it will line your tires and pop the tubes. Just imagine what it does to your pets feet as you walk around. -I don't think the duration RVers have the same regulations, because some of them are unsightly and have stuff all over. -They have a pool, but it's indoors and has sooo much chlorine in it. Have fun with your kids! Look, if you are only staying a night and dump your tanks, do it but watch out for your pet. Matter fact, the only section they actually care about is the Class A portion, which was the only spot redone after the mobile homes were partially booted. read more

09/29/2018 We arrived yesterday late in the day but had no problem getting a space. We've been here before and as before the staff are wonderful people. As before we are escorted to our site and settle in for the night. The only down side to this place is their Wifi it is terrible, the way it reacts tells me they are running a narrow bandwidth and with all the RV's here it keeps dropping out, This unfortunately was the same during our last stay here, no improvement in their Wifi (2016) read more

We were traveling and I had called a few camp sites. A gal from Big Texan RV Ranch returned my call right away. She was very nice and accommodating on the phone knowing we wouldn't be there before the office closed. We arrived around 6:00pm and setup. We booked a ride in one of the limos over to the The Big Texan for dinner and had a great time- food was amazing!! A limo brought us back to the camper. We made a 1 night reservation because they advertise a heated indoor pool/hot tub for adults only. We arrived at 6pm but were SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED to find out the hot tub closed at 7pm. The hot tub/pool was the whole reason we came here. Yelp says the office is open until 8pm but it closed at 7pm. Not only did the office close at 7, but they locked the pool/hot tub at 7 so that it was totally unavailable to guests. They told us the pool/hot tub would reopen at 9am. We wanted to swim/relax at the end of our travel day, not at 9am. Checkout is 11 so we have 2 hours to use the pool/hot tub and pack up and get out. THIS PLACE HAS RIDICULOUS POLICIES. The WiFi was weak. We asked for a cable box and the office staff reluctantly gave it to us because we were only staying 1 night. People DO watch TV for 1 night you know. We planned a quick stop in Amarillo on a trip from East Texas to Colorado. We made a booking error and arrived after 8pm and realized we'd booked the wrong night online and had nowhere to go. Thankfully a gentleman named Steve was still at the front office and graciously helped us find the last available spot and was kind and friendly the entire time. I stayed here for a week while checking out the area. The staff here is fantastic, I enjoyed them all. Melody and Rick were especially helpful and I'm thankful for them both. The showers are clean and provide a small changing area in each shower area. The site I was in was mostly level, but the site was easy to access and a reasonable size. I do wish I would have had a tree, the shade would have been nice in over 90 degrees of heat. The laundry prices were more than I've seen in a while, but the laundry area was clean and efficient. The location of this park is great, you are not much more than 15 minuets from the downtown area and even closer for restaurants. You have to check out the Big Texan steakhouse, it's a hoot plus they have a free limo (bonus). If I'm in the area again I'll stay here. read more

We stayed two nights here on our way home. Service is great! Prices are great! The new pool was nice, but the jacuzzi tub was being worked on and the sauna was closed . We were looking forward to both of those things, so that was disappointing. We took their limo to the restaurant and weren't impressed. The limo we got was like an early 90s model and we sweated the whole way to the restaurant. We were transported back to our Rv in a shuttle bus which was definitely a relief! The Rv spots are great and biggest we've had in our 2 week vacation! Best spot yet! We would definitely come back and stay, but not go to the restaurant anymore. We've hated the steak 2 out of 3 times. Sorry that's as many chances as we can give them on steak! Best steak we've ever had was in a little hole in the wall in Leona, TX! Melt in your mouth, tender and juicy! I still give 5 stars because this wasn't about the restaurant and we really like our Rv site! read more

Steer Clear!! Dave the manager is not willing to even discuss fulltime options. My wife and I were considering full time RV and began calling and checking out places in Amarillo. I called and left a message on their voicemail after attempting to call 6 separate times one day. Finally a lady called me back and we were told that they do not reserve slots for any reason. I said not even for someone wanting to full time? Or I would pay a large deposit! She said no! Then followed up with there are no sites available. I said I had just drove through there and seen sites available in the back that looked like a good fit for full timers and she said they are empty for a reason because of electric issues. I said what if I paid to get the electric issues fixed she said no. LOL. I said I'm sure the owners don't shy away from free maintenance. Geez just looking at a potential place to stay. She was very rude and disrespectful! The RV PARK on the west side of town seems to be better managed and kept up at the moment. I will follow up with some friends of mine that work at ANB and see if anyone knows the owners and bring this unfortunate event to their attention. read more

Stayed here for one night. They have very warm and welcome staffs. The club house is awesome with indoor swimming pool. The bathroom are very clean. The shower are better than in some of residential big, clean and even have air conditioner. The site are very spacious with full hookup. Easy to pull in and out with motor home. Location is great just across the highway from the water park. The park provide a limousine service to the steakhouse as well. read more

You get a Texas welcome and a park that is kept nice. No 50 amp spots were vacant. No wi-fi available but there was a computer available for use in the office. There is a great steak house down the street with great food and fiddle players comin' around to your table performing your request. We camped in a 35' triple slide 5th wheel. read more

I called on a Friday afternoon for a last minute reservation and they were able to get us in. We were greeted with a friendly welcome and escorted to our site. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The RV Park is nice and well kept. The amenities are a bonus with a pool, hot tub, and dog parks. Although, the pool closed early at 7 so it was hard to be able to enjoy them. The showers and RR facilities were clean and well kept, plenty of space and hot water. The only thing that keeps us from giving it a 5 star rating was our check in experience and willingness to accommodate our particular set up. After scheduling our stay over the phone a few months in advance, when arriving, they ultimately were not able to accommodate us with what we were expecting so we had to pay double for a RV space with hook ups when we were simply sleeping in our truck, expecting to use a regular tent space. The lady checking us in was also a bit rude, accusing me of not making reservations when I first walked in before she even asked for my name. Then she started turning the lights out on us while we were in the office trying to figure out new accommodations because they were near closing time. She wasn't apologetic about the misunderstanding and no one would talk to manager about the situation. All the other grounds staff was friendly and helpful. There is only one small tent area but it's grassy with a tree for shade, but not close to the RR facilities. It is right off of the interstate so noise and the security lights disrupted our sleep. We always felt the location was safe and secure. Seemed to be very pet friendly! Unfortunately, I don't think we will be returning. We will find another campground that is willing to accommodate our parking needs. read more
