My review is a bit late as we used them when we first moved and I had misplaced the receipt with the company name on it. However I still wanted to leave them a review. We moved into our new place on a holiday weekend and didn't think to have the locks changed until the day we actually moved. Called them and they were out the very same day to change all the locks. The guy that came out was very nice and they were the most reasonable for prices a holiday weekend at the last minute. We have since referred them to other people. read more

I was very pleased with the service. It took a couple days for the man to call me back but I was willing to wait than to give my business to the rude staff at Charlie's day and night. When he called me back he was as nice as his voicemail sounded, and was a little cheaper than Charlie's too. I would definitely recommend him ! read more

I was leaving to pick up the kid. You know that fraction of a second when you pull the door to close it and you ask yourself "did I grab the keys?"....yep that one! It happened to me and the answer was "ahhh no." Lucky for me I had my cell phone. I yelped locksmiths in Stockton and Big Valley had a couple of good reviews. I called and spoke with Brian. I would not recommend this company if you need reliable and prompt service. They did a large job for me in Stockton and when they left saying the job was complete there were major issues with most of the locks they installed. Not only were there major problems with locks jamming or sticking and falling out, they never returned my calls to come and take care of the repairs that needed to be done to the locks. I have tried to call, text and email Brian with no response for weeks. I give them 0 stars. read more

I have a 100 year old house with locks discontinued for half century. I asked Brian to come over to change all my keys and I asked him if he could work on a broken mortise lock on my front door. Brian spent half a day at my place trying and trying again fighting with this old mortise lock with no luck. It was last Friday and he told me to give him the weekend and see what he could do. The next Monday morning first time Brian showed up with the perfect matching lock replacement which works like new. Brian is the man of his word and he definitely loves what he is doing which is always the hallmark of great working people besides to be a very kind man. Just received excellent service from this company, and will highly recommend them to anyone who needs a locksmith. The lock on our front door was no longer working and Travis quickly came out to fix it. Prices were very reasonable, only cost a $100 to get our door in working order again. Called another local company and they wanted $125 just to come out to our house, and said that would maybe cover the cost of fixing it. If you need a locksmith, call these guys! read more

These guys saved my life. I was stranded in a parking lot with a broken key. Called another company and was quoted an "after hours" price of over $300 and over two hours to do the job. A quick call to this guy , though, and within thirty minutes he was there and done--at less than a third of what the other guys posted. Super polite, killer service and above and beyond treatment. This site offers $45 Lock Outs I found them on Yelp, gave my friend their contact info, when he contacted them they wanted $150 and said that the $45 offer has not been good for a while. Maybe they should update their Yelp Page!!! read more

Brian quoted a very inexpensive price--note--they only take cash, and Travis was able to change the locks with no problem. We received excellent service last night. Our daughter had house keys mailed to her and when she opened the mailbox, they envelope was there and torn open but the keys were missing. Not knowing what had happened to them, we started calling different locksmiths but none were able to come out last night. When we called Big Valley Lock and Key, the gentleman who answered was very helpful and was able to send out a serviceman within an hour who was very professional and was able to re-key the house within the hour. We had our keys stolen and needed to re key everything in our house. They were fast and courteous and very knowledgeable. The only problem was they didn't tell us they only accept cash...no check, business check or any kind of card. They finished the work and told us it had to be cash, it was almost 5:00 and not enough time to get to the bank. We asked if we could pay first thing in the morning (I mean the know where we live) and he said he couldn't leave without payment... so how do you deal with this? I had to go down the street and borrow from someone..embarrassing...they should let you know when they set the appointment. So they get 3 stars but it easily could have been 5 read more
