I love your frozen mocha caramel coffee. I enjoy going to biggbys it's near my house. The people are friendly.

So, I want to start by saying I didn't leave a review here for a while because we lived closed by and come here often but since they just opened another location on Southfield and 11 mile I am not so worried about it. I am not sure is what is in the water there. They are always so rude and mean. I get it a service job like this can be draining .. I went in this morning and an older couple was ordering in front of me and the lady taking their order was so disrespectful... rolling her eyes and giving sass because the elderly woman didn't know how to use to machine. She turns around like we can't hear her and says for the love of god ... like the frustration isn't already radiating off of her. The tall fella who works there younger he needs a new job .. I didn't hear when he called out my order for my bagel once and he looked at me and yelled at me haha I was so embarrassed and he goes I called your order already... OMG!!! No place like home! Better than Starbucks omg and I mean it! I no longer live in Michigan anymore but Michigan is my home state and it's a must have when I come here! When they made my drink it was soooo delicious omg! And I never even knew they had an actual name for it until the barista said it! My best friend and I went into this Biggby today. Usually everyone is kind and nice. The owner, or manager stared her down and myself. We are both minorities. He told her if you do not get something you have to leave. She was just waiting for me to come and trying to decide what she wanted. He was rude and not a minority. The cashier and barista were lovely. The owner was rude, racist and went outside to smoke in front of his business. I am allergic to smoke. I am glad I was not out there with him smoking in the front of his establishment. There were other non minorities there that were sitting and had not purchased items and they were not spoken to so rudely. I will never come back here again. It is sad because the other staff were great, but the owner is a biased person. I will ensure to let others know about this location and the business down the street that has many patrons that enjoy coffee, whom I know the owner of. Stop being biased based on race, age and clothing. read more

Let me start off by saying, "I Love their coffee!" That being said, I received a gift card, decided to stop by this location on a beautiful, sunny, but, cold afternoon! As soon as I walked in the door the worker at the register yells from the register to the door, "Hello!" -okay, at least let me get in the door! There were customers sitting drinking coffee, but nobody at the register placing orders. The worker at the register lets out this big yawn (mouth wide open) and midway through puts her hand up to her mouth, then asks what I would like. She was very snarky and rushed me as if there were 5 people in line behind me. Her vibe was horrible! Very nice-nasty to be exact. I asked for equal, she told the worker making my coffee to give me sugar. I reiterated that I wanted a sugar substitute and she seems irritated that I corrected her. I'm not a fan of that particular worker -but a huge fan of Biggby coffee! read more

I don't go to a lot of Biggby coffee's for a variety of different reasons. Mainly because their a bit out of my way, and considering what they charge, I'd rather go to Starbucks instead. But, since I was meeting with someone, and they chose this place as a halfway point, I really couldn't complain. When I arrived, the place was moderately busy and quiet. I reviewed the menu and went with an Arnold Palmer. It was way to late in the day for coffee, and I really don't do tea, so a cold drink it was. Surprisingly, the drink was really good, and was half the price of what I would pay at a Starbucks for the same thing. The drink came out quickly and the staff was super nice. On a side note, the seating was ample, but some of the tables were wobbly! Biggby is fine by me, and I do like their drinks, but I don't go out of my way for them. Had a good time here even tho it's in a busier part of town. Thanks to the staff for being cool when I had a lot of questions and took my time ordering. read more

The Service is always beyond efficient and friendly. The Art Work is delightful, every time I go I Browse. The Artist (Chet something) sketches the Patrons with pencil/ink and fills them in with watercolor. They really are interesting. I and my husband visit this Biggby Coffee, in Berkley, at least twice a week. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and by now know what we plan on ordering. The place is clean and well kept with a nice balance of customer traffic with quiet relaxation for conversation. The coffee is excellent, the sandwiches and baked goods are good, too. Best of all is Chet, a former GM designer/engineer who sketches the patrons, and whose pictures eventually end up on the wall In full color! This has become my favorite place and I hope it never changes! read more

honestly, i feel bad for the workers. there is a manager there that's a real cunt. i was served a super watered down iced coffee and kindly asked for something else to be made. the manager decided to scream a crossed the room at me "have you ever had an iced coffee before? it comes watered down." Very speedy Bigby! They always offer to upgrade to some food or to add an espresso shot, which I often accept. I've sat inside once and it's very own and roomie inside. Will always make sure to hit this Bigby for my morning coffee. read more

This Biggby charges 3.28 for a medium coffee with almond milk! The one in Ferndale charges 2.10. I mentioned this to the Berkley owner and he couldn't have cared less. He just looked at me from sitting with his friend and say "ok". I won't be back. read more

Before 2015, the nearest Biggby to me required a hike all the way up to John R and 13 Mile, not exactly the best location when craving an African Autumn tea latte at 9:50 PM. Sometimes a girl needs her steamed milk and tea concoction, and sometimes she's not willing to hoof it into the car for a drive through. Then came the Orange Revolution bringing Biggby franchises far and wide through the Woodward Corridor, taking over empty storefronts and bringing their heralded sweet drinks to the thirsty masses. Berkley desperately needed a coffee option other than the lacklustre Tim Horton's on Greenfield, and boy, does Biggby deliver that in the form of an L-shaped dining room complete with cozy chairs and ample plug-ins. For most people, the attraction of a coffeeshop is loitering for hours on end doing homework or reading. In the People's Republic, I think it's more a social venue or a destination for the end of a walk. Given the proximity to no less than three mechanics, a healthy number of visitors must be waiting while their vehicles are worked on, no small benefit if you've ever been trapped in a cramped, stinky waiting room. This is your stop if you like sweet drinks. The menu is half sugar, half caffeine, and definitely the sort of place to get your sweet tooth on. Come on, that white chocolate bear one practically begs for a dentist to set up shop across the street and a gym to take over one of the properties for lease just to capitalize on our guilt when we decide we need 24 ounces of saccharine gluttony. Staff whips up beverages with a smile and keeps upselling of their bakery goods to a relatively dull roar, appreciated even though I know they're required by franchise or corporate policy to ask if we really want that cinnamon muffin or choco-bomb grenade in the case. They hire wonderful people who understand the value of customer service, a laugh and a smile, though it probably helps working in such a nice location without a mad press of humanity most of the time. It seems clientele tend to be the locals. Rarely do crowds accrue around the counter, so you can loiter back reading your Kindle and checking out the trivia question of the day without feeling claustrophobic in a sea of coffee zombies waiting for their fix. The noise level is also much lower than other Biggbys, as you might expect. Wifi is solid enough to actually get some online work done if you need to peruse real estate listings, hit up Google Docs, or otherwise search. However, the entire dining area is open so please refrain from having your Skype conversations in public. Fortunately too, there aren't day-long loiterers at this location as I've seen be so much of an issue down in Midtown and other spots. Missing a star: no drive through. Seriously, what's with the western suburbs being the only place for drive through Paneras, Biggbys, and other fast food outlets?! read more

This Biggby is clean and the staff are always friendly. I have one complaint but it's a big one: the music played on the overhead speakers is way too loud to have a conversation, read or work. On two recent visits, I asked the counter staff if the volume could be turned down. They were pleasant to me when I made the request and said they have to ask the boss. Both times, the music was not turned down, not even slightly. What a simple request that costs nothing to fulfill yet would have made my experience worth a five-star rating. Atmosphere was cute yet commercial. Drinks are great, compared to Starbucks but wayyyyyy over priced. Knock off about 1.5 on most of the speciality drinks and I would come back more often. My friend and I ordered to normal hot chocolates one kids temp and the other regular. They both ended up being regular temp and dark chocolate. The lady who took our order took forever and over priced us for what we ordered. The service was terrible and the hot chocolate was bad and steaming hot. My first trip to the new Biggby was great. It's a very cute place and I like the layout. The staff was very friendly and made sure I received a frequent buyer card and had coupons and was signed up for their emails. They have a nice selection of brewed coffee and I tried the Mocha Java, which was really good. I also got an asiago bagel, which is tasty because it's not too cheesy like some of the other bagel places. I wish they had more breakfast food options, but maybe I just need to eat at home and stop for coffee on my way to work. read more

I actually like this coffee for super sweet dessert like drinks. Last time I went here, I was in a rush to grab a quick drink. I know I didn't give myself much time, but I was really in need of caffeine. I ordered my drink, and waited, and waited, and waited. finally, when I realized I might miss my appointment, I went over to where the barista was, and he said do you need something? I said yes, I would like my drink. They had completely forgot about my drink. I ended up cancelling my order and leaving without my caffeine. I like the drinks, but think the service is definitely lacking. read more

This Bigby is conveniently located and clean and the staff is pretty good I"d really like to go here to study more, and buy lots of coffee while I do, but the music is just way too darn loud and perky. Quick service, friendly staff, excellent espresso--not sure how they do it since the process is as automated here as in any chain coffee place but the espresso has a slightly nutty, slightly sweet taste and just the right consistency--what you get when you order "un caffe" in Milan. Very different from, for example, the bitter sludge that often is served as espresso in much larger chains. read more
