How have I not stumbled on this place before? It's less than five minutes from home, but it's hidden on a less traveled part of a less major street, kind of off the beaten path. I discovered it when looking through Yelp to see what else was nearby that I hadn't tried before. I've been there several times now, and so far have always gotten the Italian sausage. It comes au jus for dipping, and it's is flavorful, plentiful, an all-around delicious. Seating is okay - a little lumpy and aging, but somehow it adds to the charm of the place. Service is quick and very friendly. She even remembered me the second time I came in, and greeted me like an old friend. Parking outside, at least the times of day when we've been there, has been plentiful. There are also some gaming machines in a side room, for anyone into that. I used to frequent this place quite often years ago. I think ownership may have changed because I don't recognize any of the staff or they got new staff. I happened to be in the neighborhood and was looking forward to eating here. Ordered sausage egg and cheese croissant. Staff is nice. Staff is friendly. Unfortunately the sandwich was sub par. Instead of a sausage patty they used about three sausage links sliced to make the sandwich. I ordered mine for on the go. Hard to eat a sandwich like this as you try to keep the links in place while driving . The sausage links were freezer burned too. Awful tasting. I kept belching for the rest of the day and all I could taste was the sausage. I will not order here again, unfortunately. It's too bad. read more

This place is weird. They make a solid hot dog and fries, but the menu is really limited, with not too many options outside of burgers and dogs. No italian sausage or italian beef, no turkey burger. They do offer a "falafel fritter" sandwich. I tried to stop by there yesterday for a quick dinner, but was denied. The parking lot was full but the restaurant was empty, except for two old ladies sitting at a table, who informed me that the grill closed at 1:30. This was at 6 pm. No explanation, no signs, nobody in sight who looked like an employee. Doors were open, but apparently they were closed-ish. Were those ladies affiliated with Biggie somehow? So curious. I started spinning all these strange fantasies, like maybe there was a cult sacrifice going down in the basement, or a mafia conclave. Those ladies were the lookouts/decoys. So...if you can catch them open, Biggie's might scratch the hot dog itch but not much else...unless you're into video poker [eye roll]. read more

Where do I even start!!!! I first visited this horrible place o. July 19th I ordered a gyro..I Said on the phone I wanted cheese I get my food no cheese fry were dry and burned. The cook chewing gum as he is cooking the food a hugh no no!!! Went into Biggies for the first time. Ordered a gyro sandwich and a side of fries. Asked for everything on the gyro expecting a normal gyro, but after taking a few bites I realized they used sautéed onions instead of raw onions. That complemented the sandwich very well!! I was starving after work so a co-worker and I went to grab a bite to eat. We went to "Biggies" located @ 6004 Oakton in Morton Grove, IL. This is a fast food place that has a pretty decent double bacon cheeseburger. Of course there were 2 burger patties on a toasted bun w/cheddar cheese & bacon. I had an everything burger with lettuce, tomatoes & onions on a toasted bun. I added Sriracha hot chili sauce. It's a good thing that the restaurant has a nice location, and I found it when I was looking for a spot to eat. I found this restaurant in the area. I was not very familiar with the place, so I was just glad that I was able to find a good spot quickly. Parking is also available in the restaurant. It is clean. Their menu is so wide and I did not really expect it. There were a variety of choices, and the prices were fair and reasonable. I just decided to have a double cheeseburger, crinkle cut fries, and four buffalo fried tenders, which all had a nice portion and were also fresh and hot when they were served. All I can say about the food is that it was all delicious. I loved every single one of them, and my favorite is definitely their buffalo fried tenders, simply because they were crispy, tender, and the flavor was amazing. I used to come here every day when I worked across the street just for the Merkt's cheddar cheese fries. I walked in today and got a hot dog special only to find they no longer offer the side of cheese, use a cheaper type of french fry, and all the fixings for my hotdogs were in a separate container making me assemble it like I was at a baseball game. Avoid this place. Their "menu", if you can call it that is super limited and despite being told that the menu was changing a few months ago (which is why we thought we would give it another try), it hasn't and if anything, they've eliminated even more items. We attempted to get lunch from there just today and was told at 1:30 in the afternoon that A) They have no more french fries B) They weren't allowed to put ketchup on my burger. How the hell are you not making french fries at lunch time?? And well, you make what you want out of the no ketchup thing what you will, they acted as if it were a rule. I should also mention I asked for grilled onions and was told they didn't have any, although they obviously have both onions and a grill. This is one of those just eh places. The staff is friendly to their customers but the place was dead if you don't count all the elderly ladies playing video poker in the side room. I was the only person there. For an establishment on a busy street I'd expect more customers. Was the food good?...it was ok- not great but I've had worse, but there are much better places I'm heading to first. The fries were hot and crispy so bonus points for those, but the burger was average. The only other turnoff was the staff arguing with people on the phone. They are open late, so that is a bonus since most places are closed after 10. Their menu is typical to a hotdog joint, and the place looks clean. Today I come in and there is only one other person there besides me and when I asked for grilled onions on my Biggie dog I was refused by the older heavier man with glasses. First he says I don't have grilled onion then I ask if be has onion at all. His reply is "yes I have onions but it takes too long to grill them." I said ok and walked out. Not sure what happened to this place. I was pretty happy when they reopened about 6 years ago. The food was good and a lot of options to choose from. I don't eat out every day but over the last couple years this place has gone downhill. First the menu changed. They eliminated a lot of items. Today was my first time back in about 6 months. Wow. The place was gross inside. Floors were sticky. Tables not clean. I went in the bathroom to wash my hands and they were out of paper towels and I noticed they were out of TP too. The menu has even less now. Pretty much just burger, hot dog and a salad are your only options. The burger now is like 1/4 lb. Fries were cold. No more bringing ketchup bottles to your table, there's just a big pump at the counter. I don't see coming back here any time soon. I am not a gambler so that part doesn't appeal to me. I work in the area and always appreciated the quality food. That seems to be gone so I guess they are relying on people buying hot dogs and slots to stay open. read more

Had the Chicago dog which was ok but not hot, sriracha chicken tasted good & could be hotter & Merlot cheddar burger which was like warm & meat tasted old & had gristle. This place is just basic fast food, nothing special. Nice staff. Do yourself a favor & eat at Boba Burger instead!! read more

I used to love this place. I would eat lunch (and sometimes dinner) here regularly, sometimes every day. The food and selection was very good... and that's very hard to come by in this town. Unfortunately, the owner seems to care a bit too much about money. Can't fault anyone for that, but she could be a little less two-faced to her customers in the process. Now, I have no moral issue with gambling. In fact, I enjoy it responsibly from time to time and actually go on a large yearly trip to play Blackjack. It's something I actually really enjoy. But please... if I come in to eat lunch, let me eat my lunch in peace. If I say I'm not interested in playing video slots at 11:30AM on a week day, don't incessantly suggest I try them every other visit. Don't wave framed pictures of customer "jackpots" min my face, telling me how much money people are making on them, while simultaneously telling me how profitable the machines have been. This place is not closed. I ate there today. Had a double cheeseburger with lettuce and onion. It was tasty. Fries are OK. The one thing that bothers me the most about this place is that when you leave there, you smell like you have been standing in the fryer. There must be ventilation issues. To say that this place is a dump is disrespectful to garbage dumps themselves. Never in my life have I seen such horrendous customer service before. The disrespectful "people" taking my order were some of the rudest people I have ever seen in my life. You get treated with more respect in North Korea than you do in this radioactive wasteland. So I order one of the squirrel kidney burgers and an order of goat sticks, which costs around 10 dollars. Expensive. My friend buys an order of goat sticks and also a fountain drink. So me and my friend split the drink. He goes up to get a refill which causes the animal behind the counter to angrily bark out "no refill you a*sholes shared" What? We each bought a meal around 10 dollars and this guy has the audacity to tell my friend he cant get a refill because we shared? No where in this "establishment" does it say you can not get a refill if you share. NO WHERE! He bought it and is guaranteed as many refills as he wants, just like everyone else who purchases a fountain drink. Soda costs about 10 Cents for every 20 Oz and this guy is illegally denying us a refill because we shared? The whole staff should take anger management classes, as this was scandalous. Good going Biggies, you lost 3 once loyal customers. Well actually more than as our very large friend base well never be eating at your restaurant again, and who knows, maybe that will put you out of business! We will now make sure to dine at Barnabys and at McDoanlds, where we will know we are treated with respect and actually receive good food, not your rubish in a plastic basket.
