The gyro was really good but it only came with one piece of pita which wasn't proportional to the amount of meat. First, it's clean, and a very nice staff talks to you like your a welcome and favorite customer. Second, the food is good and a large portion. I always have to have a doggie bag. Next, a lot of men eat here and they are eating a real lunch , not just a burger and fries. But gyros, chicken, kabobs, and it's all yummy, The prices are average for the area and I like eating here. They have slots if you are feeling lucky. I would stay away from their Baklava but most people don't go there for a dessert they make really good cream soups on the weekend and I usually take a quart or two home. Service was great and friendly, the food not so much. The Avgolemono soup was bland, tasted like flour with a bit of lemon and chicken stock, the chicken gyro should have been browned and crisped, it stated like it came of a frozen block of processed undercooked chicken. Goodies was great. The lady behind the counter I believe is one of the owners. And I'm sorry I forgot her name it was September 22 2022 at about 11:00 am. She was really nice. The restaurant is very clean and they have a large menu. As I looked at the menu kind of thinking of maybe getting the spanakopita or the gyros plate I decided on the gyros . I selected cream of potato soup and a side of cheese. Very generous portions we had part of it and had about half left so much food the gyros were good nice onions they weren't hot they must suck them in water so they're not too spicy and some tomatoes with some good tzatziki sauce. And one large golden pita. I look forward to coming here again and trying other things. I went up to get some courier containers and the lady help me with that and then she also gave me some baklava for my first time here. I haven't tried it but my boyfriend loved it. The gyros portion was large and while it's not spicy it tastes great! You also get a small chicken skewer and the chicken is juicy and tender. I large portion of salad pita Bread, and either rice or fries. It a lot of food so I had enough left for lunch the next day. They have a slots room and serve beer if you Just want to relax after work and they have deserts too. There carrot cake is yummy with a cream cheese frosting. We love going to Goodies for lunch. The kabobs are excellent. We are always greeted with friendly staff and when we ask about items on the menu they tell us everything. Anyone saying anything bad about this place needs to take their meds and go somewhere else or eat at home. They have an excellent menu. read more

Ambiance: ample seating on a Sunday afternoon, recently updated, but still has a slightly old feel to it. Service: clerk was very knowledgable and quick with taking orders. Food came out in a reasonable time. Overall, everything is pretty good, nothing astounding. $85 to serve 3 adults and 4 children. Goodi's? More like Greati's!! We absolutely love this place! A large menu to choose from and you get a huge, delicious platter of food, you get so much for the price and it's all super fresh and yummy! Nice that they serve beer, too. We enjoy playing the slot machines after our din-din! I like that they have many of the older video slots I used to love and they've replaced at the slot cafes near us. Goodi's staff is super nice and helpful and there seems to be a lot of very happy families dining in and a lot of people picking up to bring home. I can tell this is a much loved restaurant for people around here. Wish we had something like this out by us in "the sticks" of McHenry. read more

They have a huge menu, so I could never sample enough to write a representative review. If you're feeding a group, everyone can find something that they like. Suffice to say that there are some hits and misses but more hits. If ordering in person, look for the specials boards to see some meal deals including fries and a drink. The value is pretty good, usually around ten or twelve bucks for a big plate of food. My favorite items so far are the chicken philly sandwich and the chicken fajita wrap, both of which I eat with a knife and fork because they are piled so high/full that eating with hands is a non-starter. Honorable mention to the rip tips dinner which is a stupendous value for under $10. I've been ordering by phone from these guys once or twice a month throughout the pandemic, and every single time the food is ready within ten to fifteen minutes. So reliable and much appreciated. Friendly folks, too. This used to be an occasional work lunch spot, but now it's in the family Sunday dinner rotation. Pepsi products in the fountain, but no Diet Dr Pepper. (Booo) read more

A couple of days before I stopped by to visit this place since my friends mentioned about it as a good spot to hit. I must say they're not mistaken 'cause this spot worth your time and money. I ordered something for myself and a girlfriend and it took only few minutes so I didn't have to wait forever as it normally happens with me. The place was spotless inside and all employees strictly followed quarantine guidelines and it was pretty good. As for food it was delicious I ordered French fries with meat, tomatoes and onions. We empted our plates as quick as possible and were ready to order something for next day. Food was neither overcooked nor burnt and flavor was awesome. Customer service was great as well. Is it me or is Goodi's on the fast track to closure. I had a gyro dinner plate and I was left looking for the meat. When I found it, cause there was so little of it, it was cold and hard. It appears it may have been sitting for a while. Also, Goodi's never properly cooks their fries. The fries are always soggy. And then to top it off, Goodi's is suffering big time from "shrink-flation". The quality and amount of food is on the decline. This hurts me a lot. I liked the old Goodi's. read more

I was craving a chicken pita and this did not disappoint. Enough chicken in the pita to make two pita sandwiches (order a second pita). Comes with onions and tomatoes. I also ordered the Greek fries. I love that there was a lot of feta on them. The only problem is that the fries were limp and not crisped up. They need to make them crispier up front in order to add the feta and make them 100%.
