Recently tried Bigz Boba because it's near home. It gives Dutch Bros vibes. You drive up, look at the menu, and order at the window. They make your drink(s), rather quickly I might add, and then you're on your way. First time we went, I got boba in my drink - frozen Brownsugar Crave. I'd give that drink a 8.5/10. It was delicious and had great boba. The boba was warm, soft, and yet chewy. This time around, I got a Peachy Fresh for my girlfriend and a Caramelized Banana for myself. She gave her drink a 7/10, as it was in her opinion just a basic peach green tea. Nothing to write home about, but refreshing and satisfying. I would give my drink a 7 to 7.5/10 for the same reasons. On my most recent visit, I ordered three drinks, including a matcha that ended up being a weird combination. The barista could tell right away I wasn't feeling it and offered to remake it. I later asked for a Pink Glow instead and she said no problem. A few minutes later, another employee came out and said I'd have to pay for the remake because they're a small business. That's where it got uncomfortable. The remake had already been offered, so it felt inconsistent. I was willing to pay, but that wasn't really the point. What really didn't sit right with me is that the original barista, (who was Black) still made the drink, brought it out, and told me she paid for it herself. That should've never happened. If anything, the business should've stood behind her decision instead of leaving her to deal with it like that. And that's really the issue for me. It felt like a clear example of how Black women get dismissed in the workplace. She tried to do right by the customer, and instead of being backed up, she was undermined. Whether the mix-up was on me or not, the business didn't care enough to just honor what was already offered and respect the customer experience. For context, I've been coming here almost daily for weeks. I support small businesses, but this left a bad taste. I won't be back. read more

It's an average boba place with lots of ice and store bought (gooey) boba. Last time I checked I am in California, USA's capital of boba milk tea. So a place whose name is "bigz boba" and which is in California, I expect a good boba (at least fresh batch). The boba tastes store bought! Come on! I ordered pine coco tea, the server didn't ask for the ice level. The drink comes with at least 50% ice (I am not exaggerating). The pineapple flavor is too strong and coconut is not existent. Like Dutch bros but boba! I saw this place in passing and brought my friends here to try it out. The staff were super friendly and patient. The menu is small, but they offer unique items such as cacao juice and sparkling energy drinks with tons of topping options and add-ons. I tried the Pink Glow which is a strawberry cacao juice with coconut milk and it tasted very similar to a Pink Drink from Starbucks. The boba was plump and chewy, but tasted reminiscent of Quickly's boba (good or bad depending on your preference). I got a ton of drinks for my family and the staff was able to get every order correct and bring it out to us in a timely manner. We were the only car in line but cranking out 8+ drinks in 10 minutes is impressive. So I've been coming here regularly for a few weeks and signed up for their loyalty program (or so i thought) and went there today, different girls than normal. I put my phone number in for rewards and just now does it say I've signed up. It's also a free drink every 7 stars. You get 1 star per visit but now I only have 1 star.
