Ordered the Dubai Strawberry Chocolate Cup. The idea and presentation were appealing, but the execution fell short. It was clearly pre-made rather than fresh. The strawberries were soft and had that white edge to them, which usually happens when they've been sitting too long. We're just new to this neighborhood and from where we came from in Union City, there are a lot of boba shops saturated in the city. Bubbles Tea is the only boba place in Oakley and we're excited to try it. It's just a short drive from our house and is located at a small commercial center on Main Street. Since we're new here, we wanted to try some of their favorites. I opted for their ube coconut milk scramble. We came at an odd time so it didn't take long for our order to be done. The ube coconut is so delicious. The sugar is just about right and the boba is soft and chewy. I liked ube and this drink just feels perfect to me We ended up talking to the owner and she was very sweet. We found out that she opened this place just recently and loved to see some locals patronizing her boba shop. I'm pretty sure that her business will see locals coming in and out since she has good service and the product she's selling. I'll try their other boba drinks when I come back here. read more

I visited the store today at 12:20 PM, shortly after its posted opening time of 12:00 PM. I've been craving boba for several days, and since this is the only location in Oakley that offers it, I was hopeful. However, each time I come here, I leave empty-handed. Upon entering the store today, I was informed that the tea would not be ready for another 15 minutes, and the boba would take approximately an hour. I found it surprising that the store was open to customers but only offering snacks at that time. Given the circumstances, I decided to leave and placed an order with Quickly's instead--they have consistently met my expectations. read more

This is the best boba place I have ever been to. Me and a friend ended up getting five different items and they were all so fresh and well-made that we shared them with multiple friends are super impressed. The people before us ordered 4 drinks and we ordered 2. Drink #1: strawberry fruit tea, 50% sweetness with mango popping boba. They were out of strawberry popping boba but the mango did not disappoint! Drink #2: chocolate milk tea, 50% sweetness with brown sugar jellies. I probably would opt for even less sweetness. With drinks we don't really like to have super sweet. But regardless it was still really good. We're were offered pudding for the drinks, but we opted out. The drinks were for my kids I wanted the experience to be just with the bobas and jellies. Next time we'd like to give that a try. So many options since it's build your own drink which is great for my kids when I have 1 very picky kid. read more

We ordered the mango green tea with mango jelly, brown sugar milk tea with crystal boba, and the strawberry banana smoothie with boba. Notes: Regular sweet is 50% - drinks arent overly sweet but you can make them sweeter. Only one size and toppings are all add on. Wish there was a smaller size for my baby brother. It's also mostly a build ur drink kind of place where you get to pick a flavor and your toppings. There's not set drinks that come with recommended toppings or mixes of flavors (unless I missed it) since there is a large menu. Drinks: Mango Green Tea w/ Mango Jelly - 6/10 - Very basic green tea with mango syrup and the mango jelly you get in a jar. Wasn't bad but wasn't extraordinary. If you're really craving some nostalgic tea this is it. Tea flavor isn't super strong but it doesn't taste like water. Strawberry Banana Smoothie w/ Boba - 4/10 - Very liquid for a smoothie. Definitely not a place to get a smoothie but a good option for kids who don't like tea. Tastes pretty artificial and the bananas flavor is strong but bananas are always strong tasting. More creamy than smoothie I'd classify it as a milkshake. Boba was hard in the middle it was probably not cooked well or sat out for too long. Kinda reminded me of strawberry milk. Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/ Brown Sugar Crystal Boba - 8/10 - Milk Tea would be the best option here as to be expected. Got 100% sweet was perfectly sweet but not overly sweet. Good tea flavor but nothing strong and not too milky a good balance. Crystal boba was standard and I would pick it over the regular boba. The best drink of the three we got. Service: There was only one person working while we went he was very friendly and was trying to be as quick as possible. As an ex-bobarista I understand this struggle. It wasn't overly long and he was commutative on how long the drinks would take. Location: The shop is pretty small with no indoor seating. There's one picnic table outside kinda covered by some shade but not really a spot you can hang out at. It's a grab and go type of place. There's also a mini fridge inside with other drinks such as energy drinks. Parking was pretty available it doesn't look like it gets very busy in this plaza. Forgot to check but looks like they take Apple Pay as it's a pretty modern POS system. Conclusion: As someone who drinks a lot of boba I don't see myself coming back here very often unless I was really craving since there's not many boba spots out here. read more

The staff was very kind but the product received was unacceptable. My family and I tried their dubai chocolate strawberries and it was disgusting. The chocolate wasn't even melted, the kanefi (the crunchy part of it) was all stuck together, not evenly distributed, and soggy! the crunch is what makes the dish special so that was highly disappointing. And to add on top of that, the bottom 2/3 was filled with WATER! they didn't dry the strawberries after washing it or something because it was so Watery at the bottom. Finally a Boba place in Oakley. Came here yesterday, and this place did not disappoint. I will definitely be a returning customer. The staff are super friendly, cute little space inside. Soft opening for now, grand opening 11/1/23 They don't have any snack food choices for now, the staff said depends on how much revenue they will have since it's still new. So please support this small local business. I ordered Taro Milk Tea and I ordered the Brown Sugar Matcha with Cream for my husband. They were super busy with one person working but she did so good! She was very apologetic for the wait but it wasn't even bad she worked so fast to get the orders done by herself. She even thanked customers for coming in. We got the Dubai milkshake which was good probably wouldn't get it again though. But the strawberries were soooo good.
