Trying to find a nail salon in the HKA area, had seen this place come up so my sisters, mother, and I gave it a shot. Gaudy interior aside, the pedicures were subpar. The owner Continually stalked the clients and nail techs for the hour plus we were seated, it was awkward, while not offering any drinks (free or for sale). My nail tech couldn't get the water temp correct, the "hot" stones were tepid at best-she couldn't get those hot even after going back for another set, and apparently did not understand that oil would be beneficial-she was rubbing dry stones against my skin as though trying to remove the top layer before my muscle tissue. Why she would do this is unknown to me, but I suffered. Never returning. read more

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Not only did she cut me so badly I bled the whole time they still made me pay 67$ for the worst manicure I've ever had. Tracey cut multiple cuticles because she was going way to fast and rough. I seriously don't think she knew what she was doing. None of my nails are even and there's a blood streak in my thumb. I come here pretty often and pretty late because of my work schedule. I usually would recommend it. However I arrived before closing and two girls behind the check in counter said they were closed. They close at 7:00pm. It was not 7:00pm. I understand it may have been near closing but the staff is usually happy to assist regardless and that's why I keep coming back. These two girls couldn't even bother walking to the check in counter to greet me and apologize. Just yelled from the back and laughed to each other. Super rude. Not returning. read more

Convenient for late hours but not worth it. The nail techs are so rough with your nails and your cuticles. Even after pointing out how rough they are they just continue. I've been here a couple of times and I return because of convenience but this place is expensive and not good. I got may nails done yesterday and this morning they looked like the polish started to crack and want to peel. So I returned to get them fixed and they were so upset about it...shouldn't I be the one upset? They didn't even put a clean towel for me, the towel that was there was from the previous client. When I was done, I was waiting to get cuticle oil like they usually do and she just sat there and filed her nails and didn't even say "you're done or you can go" until she was done with her nails. I have been coming here for the past two months, and I love it! The place is beautiful inside, and all the nail techs seem very friendly. The place is clean and very spacious and they are following social distancing guidelines. Sometimes you may have to wait, but that's understandable since they can't help as many clients as they can at one time in order to keep everyone safe. I was a bit disappointed when one of my manicures started chipping a few days after I got it, but I went back and they fixed it for no charge. read more

I've been coming here ever since they opened fair prices for the service, very clean and employees are always very friendly, I've always enjoyed my service.But my recent visit was very disappointing since Johnny was extremely disrespectful, as soon as I sat down and I showed him the design I wanted he started questioning if I was going to be willing to pay and trying to argue about the color and design I wanted, he would pull and yank my hand causing him to mess up my nails would blame it on me and even asked me if I was drunk because "I kept messing up"!!! i've been here a couple of times and let me tell you they are very rude. i recently went just yesterday 7/24 & like always i got basic shellac color change. The lady doing my nails was very rough with them, mind you it's my real nail it was pretty painful & she was rushing the whole time, i kept pointing out mistakes to her as she was rushing but she started getting frustrated and rude. while checking out i did let the manager in charge know how rough she was & she said "well she's supposed to do that if not your shellac won't last" manager defended her the whole time & made it seem like she didn't understand anything i was saying. I went to Bijou Nails to get an overlay and a pedicure. After noticing that my nail tech was doing something that didn't looked familiar I asked her was that an overlay she was doing. She said no, "the overlay is not good I have something better for you". She proceeded to do dip nails. I told her that's not what I wanted and she kept saying trust me you'll like it. The tech that was doing my pedicure kept disappearing. She tried to force me to get shellac and I kept telling her I wanted a regular pedicure. Well, the nail Polish must have been bad because she literally painted and removed the polish from my big toe about 5 times. I wanted to scream. My experience there was horrible and it reminded me as to why I don't go to that location. The nail tech who did my pedi had the nerve to tell me next time get the shellac because the regular Polish is no good. I WILL NOT be going back to that location. I went in with pink coffin shaped nails just wanting a refill with same color. The guy started grinding my nails down and when he when to apply the pink refill powder it turned out to be red. The powder in the jar looked pink but it changed to red when applied. He went to get another pink and came back to grind all my nails again which he grinned too much. The nails were fragile and breaking so he wanted to put glue instead of changing the tips. I then told him he needed to change the tips and not charge me because it was his fault not mine. After he insisted on putting glue and arguing with me he went ahead and changed to new tips without charging. So he goes to put on the pink powder I requested as I still wanted my nails to match my toenails which are pink but then again the color changed to red. I just told him go ahead apply the red because I was already there long enough and didn't want him to go runoff looking for a color again. After applying the color and smoothing them out he couldn't get it together and coffin shape my nails. As frustrated as I was already there two hours just for a refill I went ahead let him finish and when I go up front to pay there and behold. The manager charges me $40 for a refill stating I change the color. As I explain to her the issues that occurred and how I went in with pink coffin shape nails but then come out with square red nails there was nothing changed on my end and I ended up with what he gave me. The manager goes off to say a refill is normally $50 but since he messed up they were only charging me $40. As frustrated as I was I paid the $40 as I explain to the manager that I will be posting this review on yelp to let others know how ridiculous this was I am very upsetting dissatisfied customer I was. I do not recommend this place at all and the only reason why I give it one star is because I cannot give it no stars. read more

I have been getting acrylic nails for years...easily more than twenty years (with a few artificial nail "breaks" to let my nails grow and strengthen), but I n all those years, I have NEVER contracted a nail fungus. I started going to Bijou nails shortly after it opened, because it is located close to where I work. After a few months of getting my nails filled, and getting pedicures, a few weeks ago, the nail tech and myself discovered I had a fungus on several of my finger nails. His answer to the issue was to put on a new set, and as my nails grew out, the fungus would grow off with the affected nail, as it grew. Obviously, putting nails back on the affected areas, is the worst thing you can do. Needless to say, I left with no intention of returning to get my nails done. This wknd, as I was giving myself a pedicure, I found a spot of a fungus on my toe. I highly recommend avoiding that salon. read more
