I would not recommend this place. The esthetician was very brisk, rough with her hands, towel behind my neck was scalding hot, service dodo not include arms and hands, spent no time cleaning my face before putting on the thick massage cream left on my face for a long time. All I could think was to rush home and wash my face to prevent clogged pores. No steam to open and unclog the pores, no toner or emulsion at the end of the facial. $80 plus tip for an abbreviated service and courtesy in every respect. read more

The lady/manager at front desk sold me a facial package with so much of commitment about the good results and changed me upfront heavy amount (with discount label) for 10 sessions also for better result she mentioned you have to come every other week not once in month but after 8 session they showed me as "No Show" and refused to give me a service. I called them and the other lady said she doesn't speak English! I am not going to get poor with this but so disappointed with the customer service and I am thinking to complain about it to the county who gave them a license to work ethically not to steal money from people like us to get benefited with delivering the right service. read more

Since I moved to Orange County, it was hard to find a good and affordable facial place. I'm originally from LA an I felt that LA had many options (especially the Ktown area). Bijou skincare was slightly more expensive compared to what I used to pay for and the services I received but compared to the pricing and similar service I got at other Korean facial places in OC, this place has the right price point and great service (this is just my opinion). However, I didn't like everyone who gave me my facial who worked there. I would recommend trying some people out and remember the names of the ones you like and keep making an appointment with them. This is really hard for me to judge if this is the decent place for meridian massage, because I have never gotten the type of massage. I've heard from many friends to start meridian massage regularly to slow down the sagging process as aging. And I found out three of my friends are coming here so I gave it a try with Gina. The regular session includes; Light cleansing (depending on how heavy make up is put on), Light scrubbing, Steaming and back massage begin, The meridian session will move on to face, (Make sure to mention if you feel too much pain) Cooling mask Also high-frequency heat treatment and vitamin C care are included but during a pregnancy, these two equipments are excluded, the price remains the same though. All these are a regular session for $60, with 10 sessions membership, it is $35 per session. I found this must be the best deal in town. Comparing to any facial shops (facial and meridian massage are totally different btw) in Korea, the ambiance and interior look pretty run down and not fancy at all. I hope they wash the robe, it was already worn and looked pretty dirty(even in the deemed light inside, I could see not so white terry robe..). I felt pretty relaxed after, Gina always asked me if I was doing ok with dealing with the pain and stuff. Meridian massage doesn't show any miracle at one session, it will gradually help over time, (one of my friend has been getting it for 15years and she is telling me her jaw line is much tighter than her peers) so as long as the price is affordable, I will give it a try regularly. I have their acne package and am just so disappointed with this place. They aren't thorough abt removing the make up prior to extractions. It's just a very half assed cleansing which bothers me because I feel like it's going to break me out. Not to mention, when getting my eye make up off, you should not be tugging on my eyelids with a cold towel. Of course it's not going to come off well. And I don't want my delicate eye area to all messed up due to ur rough care. Secondly, the extractions are just so painful. It's not my first facial and I've gotten facials elsewhere, so I feel like they're just extremely rough. You got the gunk out but my face resembled an angry tomato when I left. I must say, the staff was uber courteous there. They all flashed their smiles right as I walked in the door. They were prompt with their schedules as well. I bought the yelp deal and had myself a facial for one hour of facial. It consisted of the following: Cleanser, foam cleanser, scrub, some sort of serum and then proceeded to a face, neck, shoulder, back massage for what seemed like 30 minutes. And then they gave you an option of using one of the two equipments they had which was for collagen stimulation or skin whitening. I chose skin whitening. It lasted for about 10 minutes and then she finished me off with a mask for the last 10 min. Oh, they also did an extraction. This is your basic level facial with the addition of using one of their special equipment which makes the $39 pricing a steal. Now would I pay anything over $50 for this service? Probably not. What would make this facial better is if they didn't leave me alone for 10 minutes with the mask. I usually like it when they do an arm massage or something during this time making sure the client has the full hour experience. I would also like the esthetician to focus more on the skin treatment rather than a 30 min massage. I should add that the esthetician that I had seemed very knowledgeable. I will get her name next time. They are offering a package for 10 sessions = $350 which comes out to $35/session. Definitely worth it. read more

I purchased a yelp deal and asked if I can use that towards the special "package" option. Instead, woman at the counter said I can use the yelp deal towards the first massage here. Money difference isn't alot but I feel cheated. Massage itself was not good at all. The skin care aesthetician lady began by pouring some type of toner directly on my eyes. When I came home, my eyes were red even though she tried to rinse it out with contact solution. She then began to explain that what she will be putting on my face will be Vitamin C massage. When she was done though, she failed to remove all the white gunk out of my face. I had white gunk in my ear lobes, hair and nose when I got home. This massage is a complete waste of money and time. I did not feel relaxed at all. Most importantly, it did not do me any good- my skin would have looked better if I went to imperial spa nearby! read more

Be prepared this is NOT a typical facial for the yelp deal of $39. I wanted extractions and a relaxing experience and this was not the facial I received. It was the most intense "facial" I have ever had. I am still shocked at what just happened. Keep in mind it was an hour and a half treatment. The closest thing I could say to describe what just happen is I had a facial drainage deep tissue massage with a light face wash. Shocked shocked shocked. If I do not have a bruise or two on my jawline or around my shoulders/neck I will be very surprised. I still have 2 extractions I need removed and will need to go to another place to have them removed. I will not be returning. I am not relaxed and the main reason for my visit was not resolved. They dont even have enough employees but they are trying to put all the customers and make them wait all the time. The receptionist is awful. She is rude and have no professionalism at all. I used to be a customer here for a long time but now their service has been changed since there is lot of customers. Also, I tried all different treatment because they criticized my skin and told me to do this and that, but it was only good for a day and it went back to previous skin condition. If you want BABY BUTT skin this is the place to go. They have a deal going on where you can get 10 sessions for 350$ ... thats an amazing deal, for an hour and a half massage & skin treatment (face,skin,neck, etc) its only 35$. Each session (every-time I go) goes for about 1.5 hours and you come out feeling super relaxed and your skin looks and feels amazing. Depending on your type of skin, usually I go and get a vitamin C mask that helps with the elasticity of your skin, and a facial whitening treatment with cucumbers and green tea oils, or whatever my skin therapist advises. Also during the session they massage your face neck, head and your upper body and you become TOTALLY RELAXED. Even while they were massaging my face, cheeks, neck, head, etc I fell asleep and I woke up to my own snoring :) This place is amazing. Also I love how they give you a call the day before your appointment to remind you which is a plus because I never know my schedule! Anyways, would totally recommend for those who have never tried Korean Skincare. Also for those people who want to jump into the Korean skin care routine and don't know where to start, I would suggest you come here first. They evaluate your skin and tell you what type of skin you have and set a regime of what types of facial masks, massages, oils, etc you need for perfect dewy glowing skin. Also the 10 for 350 deal never expires and its not a one time offer, you can come and purchase the same deal after you have used up all your sessions. P.S. They provide an envelope at the end of each 1.5 hour session for you to tip your skin therapist for all the hard work she has done ( which is valid because the whole 1.5 hours they do massage your face, neck, shoulders, head, back, and also provide you with the best facials and masks) I usually tip 5-10 dollars. If you go on Mother's Day time they have some good packages They are friendly always on time and perform great facials. The facial takes about 1 hour and 15 min. The facility is clean. I have been going to bijou for a little over a year on weekly basis. My experience has been exceptional and would recommend them to all my friends. I have friends and family comment how my skin is "glowing" all the time. All thanks to my weekly visit to bijou. Emily is my go to esthetician. I recently suffered from stress tension on my shoulders along with horrible headaches. My primary doctor recommended deep tissue massage and Emily came through for me. Her background in the eastern medicine played a major role in helping release tension and blood circulation. Their price is very reasonable. I've paid as much as $95 for an hour long facials at other establishments and did not walk away as relaxed as I do when I leave Bijou. I read a comment by another yelper about how difficult it is to make appointments, but my experience has been that they are very accommodating as long as you don't expect to walk in for a facial the same day. Emily makes recommendations on treatments and products but I never feel pressured into buying. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. I also appreciate the reminder calls the day before my appointment from the receptionists. I look forward to my next appointment. read more
