The kind of shop you know as soon as you take your first step in, you love it. Every turn there was something cutesy or pretty to purchase. I saw lots of items I wanted to buy. Baggu bags but also Baggu totes in My Melody or Hello Kitty prints, very sweet looking. Daintiest earrings, rings, necklaces! Greeting cards, candy, baby items, clothing, lingerie, cacti, arrangements, books and adorable stuffed animals plus Labubu accessories too- greeting card, mini figurines, and more. The cashier had the most dramatic, artsy, purple and black makeup on her eyes very captivating. She told me they had 3 stores in San Diego. I need to find the other two. I bought 3 items for $110: $30 mini Boy Smells scent, $6 Love You card and $70 laced slip that I hope will fit. Doc tells me that's your style: see through, racer back. PIGMENT @ NORTH PARK Parking is available for street parking only! It is easy to find and is free! This spot is located near numerous coffee shops and is such a great walkable street! Walking in, they have incredibly so many unique items, like stuffed animals (INCREDIBLY soft) and beautiful handmade plants. I got to see one of the workers create the mini planted pots! I really enjoy the vibes here, the service was great! The value of this place is more on the pricey side but it's high quality and I really enjoy walking around this spot when in the area! I absolutely love coming to Pigment! Every time I visit San Diego, this is one of my must stops when I'm in the North Park area. They always have the cutest gifts, trinkets, plants, accessories, and even some clothing! I usually grab a sticker or two at the least when I'm here. They always have a good stock of Baggu crescents and accessories, so I love when I find something that I'm looking for! This time around, they had the recycled leather shoulder bags, which I've been eyeing for a while! I ended up purchasing the chocolate brown color, and I am absolutely in love with it! It's a nice, dressier option, but with all the iconic Baggu features. There was a graphic tee I was interested in, but because I had already splurged on new purse, I opted not to get anything else. The service was great during this visit! I was approached multiple times to ask if I was finding everything alright, and the ladies at the front made checkout super easy and fun! They even got me a brand new bag that was still wrapped up from the bag. Randomly found Pigment while walking around after lunch and fell in LOVE! What a gorgeous store. I honestly loved everything about it. The plants were unique, immaculately cared for and I went home with 2 I didn't need and might sadly end up killing in spite of my desperate desire not to. All of the other things they have for sale were equally tempting. If I'd had a fat stack of disposable cash I'd have easily blown it all there! Having said that, the money I did part with was very well spent! The gal at the table in front working on planting was AMAZING. I wish I could remember her name... she helped me decide which plants I would have the best chance of keeping alive in spite of my light brown thumb I wish I lived closer, but my bank account thinks it's distance is a blessing. read more

I had the most delightful experience visiting Pigment today. I had researched many plant stores in SD in advance and knew I had chosen the right one within seconds of walking in. I was welcomed immediately. The shop is very bright and inviting with lots of activities going on. Ash greeted me after I had wandered around a bit and after explaining what I was looking for she helped me select these beautiful plants for my home. This is one of my favorite small businesses in San Diego. Not only does this place have a great selection of gifts, they also have so many plants! Right now, the store is decorated with seasonal decor and holiday themed gifts. They also have a pretty nice sized children's section. I noticed they are carrying a decent amount of clothes right now as well. It's definitely not the cheapest spot, but you can walk away with unique finds. I stumbled upon Pigment the other day and I was so glad that I did! Upon entrance, I felt as if I was immediately sucked in. Each room was full of little trinkets and was so fun to explore. I especially loved the Jellycat section and seeing all the succulent vases. Everything is organized beautifully and easy to sift through. The workers were also so uplifting and helpful! The store simply made my day. I walked out with a Jellycat bunny keychain and to my surprise, the item was sold for the same price that the original company has listed. I felt like I found such a steal! The next time I find myself at Liberty Station, I will stop by Pigment again. If I wasn't on a time crunch that day, I honestly could have spent hours in there! I love Pigment, this is the first location I've ever been to and I always find such a fun things for myself and gifts for others. Since North Park is so friendly there are always pups in shop and they have started carrying dog accessories, I definitely have to buy one of their iridescent bag holder, it's so cute. When I first started shopping here they put me on their Pigment email list and I accumulated enough points to get $10 off which I used on a pair of sunglasses. The prices are super fair, the sunnies I normal get are under $20 and they definitely have candles and other accessories for under $50. Again this is the best place for gift giving, plus they have such fun cards! read more

The store itself is gorgeous and has a lot of cute stuff, pricy but cute. On the other hand the service was terrible and I felt racially persecuted as a mexican woman of color. Although this incident could have nothing to do with the color of my skin or appearance, I think it is important to note that the worker making me uncomfortable was white and there were other white shoppers who did not receive the same treatment as me. I was very upset with the way I was treated at this store, the lady organizing the store kept looking and following me, as if I was going to steal something. I was trying on the jellycat keychains on my purse to decide which one I wanted and she did not leave my vicinity, as if I was going to run off with it. I then went to a corner of the store where there were sunglasses and began trying on the sunglasses and she did not stop staring at me. I felt very uncomfortable and what she did was not right. This is such a cute store!! Everything is organized by color which is very visually satisfying. They have clothes, beauty products, plants accessories and even a terrarium building station. My only complaint is that all their beautiful, dainty jewelry was gold so there wasn't much variety there. There are lots of cute and unique photo ops too from the living wall and pink mural outside, to the rainbow plant display inside! I thought all the prices made a lot of sense and nothing seemed outrageous. A couple staff members offered to answer any questions and were very polite. Come on a Wednesday and stay a while with the farmers market! LOVE THIS STORE! I've been a customer for about 6 years now. Do I come regularly? No but I do make a special trip when I'm hungry for new plants. Essentially that's my whole purpose for going. They have a waive range of different variety of plants, and it's probably one of the very few stores that carries so many different kinds of air plants. Their plants are also very healthy and I've successfully been able to have them for years and years. Their customer service is always on point, location is great! They have all kinds of cute pots, and other decor. As well as a kids section with adorable toys and stuffed animals. When we started coming I'd bring my kids and they'd make their own little succulent pots as they have a station where you can make your own arrangements with the plants of your choice. I shopped online for this particular 1950's Dancing & Waving Santa and found vintage ones on ebay and etsy etc, and they all looked horrible and would've cost $40+ shipped. There were some other new ones elsewhere in rainbow colors but the design was off. Their legs were skinny. "Nobody wants a skinny Santa!" But Pigment in San Diego has the good ones. One thing this pandemic introduced me to is becoming a plant lover and Mama. Thanks to fellow/friend Terri C. she introduced me to this cute and fun store. Pigment is a home goods store where you will good quality gifts, live plants, pots, t-shirts, buttons, and other unique items. This was my first visit here and I just fell in love with so many items. I ended up purchasing two pots for two of my plants that needed to be transplanted, a silk pillowcase and a gift for a friend. So many choices for plant pots in terms of size and color. I considered purchasing a couple more plants but I just wasn't sure how well they would travel back to our dry desert. This gives me another reason to return. The store is easy to find and sits on a corner. It is large and they usually have the big door open so you get the feeling of being in a nursery yet you have a roof over your head. There are a couple other locations in SD but I like this one best. The location is in the heart of the city. Service was friendly and helpful. All of my items were wrapped and packed to travel which I appreciate. If you are a plant lover like me, add this store on the places you visit next time you are in SD. read more

Super cute unique stuff! The customer service at Pigment is above and beyond. My first time coming here was in December 2024, my partner and I fell in love with a jacket that we regretted not buying. I went back in March 2025 and the staff helped me find the jacket I had seen 3 months prior and transferred the last two remaining jackets to their north park location; which is closest to me. I've been to this location and the one in Point Loma numerous times. My recent visits had me looking for gifts for a friend overseas and then getting something for myself. For my friend, I purchased a beautifully crafted San Diego hat and a Mini Memos stationary to add to the box of gifts I'm sending her. A couple of days later, I came back to purchase a water bottle for myself. It reads, "Don't Let Idiots Ruin Your Day." A bit of shopping therapy after a food vendor employee at our county fair was horribly rude to me over the weekend. Absolutely uncalled for behavior. Just nasty. So getting this water bottle cheered me up, knowing that I'll be sipping on this positive mantra. The staff at Pigment is the complete opposite of what I encountered at the fair this year. The store is beautiful and full of great stuff! I absolutely love the aesthetic. All their products seem good quality, but are a little pricey. I had a blast doing their build your own garden center. They allow you to choose any cacti and pot, then you get to organ them how you like! This one pictures was $40 for the pot and plants all together.
