    Deluxe thali

I haven't had much Northern Indian food before, and the stuff I had here was delicious! The owner was really friendly and helpful when it came to recommendations, and she even gave us a complimentary special puri dish! It was filled with yogurt, pomegranate, and chutney, and it made a really balanced and refreshing bite. The yogurt itself that came with some other dishes, like the veggie paratha and deluxe thali, was absolutely fresh too. I also loved the daal and aloo subzi puri (WHICH WERE HUGE). The puri that came with it were spiced and texturally really interesting. Man, the prices are pretty great too, but maybe that's just the Bay Area resident in me who's used to things being at LEAST $18. Counting down the days until I come back, especially for their carbs. Drooling.

Yummy food! Snacks and meals if you order the thali, it's a cute place with great service and good ambiance! Will def be back

If you're craving authentic North Indian flavors, Bikanervala is a spot that delivers on taste and quality. I tried the Paneer Butter Masala, and it was absolutely delicious -- rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The Basmati rice was fluffy and fragrant, pairing beautifully with the paneer. The Garlic Naan was soft, well-buttered, and had just the right amount of garlic kick. To start, I had a Samosa, and it arrived piping hot -- crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The dipping sauces (especially the tamarind and mint chutneys) were spot on and really elevated the appetizer. Overall, Bikanervala nailed the classic North Indian experience. Whether you're a longtime fan of Indian cuisine or just getting started, this place is worth a visit! The place is pretty clean and new too! I liked it. They also sell pastries / desserts as well. The workers were nice and super sweet too. They did check on me to see how the food was. I'd recommend them!

Honestly this place was not good at all. My piayz kachori was gross, it looked like they just put it in the microwave. I ordered another raj kachori because that's what I wanted but she gave me piyaz and didn't even refund my money back ... Raj kachori the outer shell was fried in bad oil, and full of sweet yogurt u couldn't taste any of the fillings. Paneer was sweet, Naan was k. All flavorless and sweet. Their number system they need to work on. They gave my food to another order so I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food. I had to tell him I have been waiting forever. I really just wanted my money back but it's an Indian restaurant so what can I expect, no refunds. Horrible place I would never come back.

Amazing food and taste. Staff is friendly too it is self service and you have to place order at counter. There are water filters for fresh water. The paneer pakora had some stuffing in it which made it taste nice and fresh. The pyaaz kachori was delicious. The deluxe thali was the highlight. The laccha paratha, the daal makhani, shahi paneer, the sweet all absolutely spot on. Loved it.

A friend of mine recommended trying establishment since they open recently. The owner happened to be present and was extremely helpful and friendly. I ended up taking a pound of the Bengali sweets, which were delicious and reminded me of my childhood days growing up in India. Also tried their Pav bhaji which was also delicious. I would highly recommend Trying them out

India is always close to my heart so indian food is soul food. Ask me to rate the food and my nostalgic bias kicks in . I am harder on indian restuarants then others but bikanerwala passed my test. Ambience 5star Food 5plus stars Service 5 star Must try the onion kachori.. Loved ever bit of it... only downside was the disposable plates and silverware

Was excited to try this place as my dads family is from Bikaner. Really was looking forward to ordering a Raj Cahori but they ran out the day before, we order papdi chaat instead but it was just average and very small portions. Chole batura the larger size at $14 came with 2 batura and tiny bowl of chole , chole were on the spicier side, but decent taste , but dont order the double batura when there is barely enough chole for 1. Dhokla was ok , a little dense, but not overly sweet. Ordered falooda ice cream , was a complete disappointment as it texture was very grainy , there was no tukmaria or rose syrup in it either. I probably would not go back. Rasmali was good. Saag and makki roti , i was told roti was on dry side

    Chhole Bhature

Have been thinking to try this for couple of months but was pushed back after looking at yelp ratings. Finally tried yesterday. First bite of chhole was straight from streets of Delhi, best chhole I had in US. Bhature needs some improvement as it became papad few minutes after serving. This is not same as usual Bhature I had in Bikanervala in India. Deluxe thali and Aloo paratha were amazing. Exact same taste that we had many many times in India. At the end, couldn't resist taking home those yummy sweets.

The owner aunty is very sweet and polite. We tried the chole bhature here and those were really nice. Then the paneer tikkas were also very nicely made. The best part was the packing. The chole and paneer tikkas were so well. Very professionally done. Sealed off the box and achaar bro I didn't have to worry about anything spilling in my car lol. Amazing overall.

    Deluxe thaali beautifully packed .

We are so delighted that finally we have an Indian restaurant in Diamond Bar serving delicious vegetarian food bursting with flavors. There is so much variety ranging from chaats to desi street foods to their thaalis. Had their chole bhature, samosa chaat and both hit the spot. The masala chai is just wow And, their array of mithai( Indian desserts) is terrific. Gulab Jamun, pedas,, bengali sweets, kaju barfi, mathura petha ...... Give this place a try .. Highly recommend!!

Hello! Do you have any options that have no onion / no garlic? Also, is everything all vegetarian? Sounds to good to be true!

Hi, yes we are completely vegetarian. Our items with no onion/garlic are the chole, dal kachori, matar kulcha, and all the cold chaats with no green chutney.

He recommended his top dish is the Chicken 555. It is soooo good, very tender. Their buffet runs from 11 AM to 7 PM, which is almost unheard of since most places end around 2-3 PM. This isn't your typical buffet food either, everything was made fresh!! The meats were soft and tender, the curries were rich and flavorful, and not a single dish was watery. Every bite was perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. The cherry on top is the Mango lassi is included with the buffet! It's super creamy, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. We came in on Monday, Memorial Day and I was nervous that they would be closed because when we came up to the door it was like pitched black with no signage but when I opened the door, they were open and inside looked so nice! Outside is so unassuming but inside definitely felt like a fancy place. It was a bit confusing once we're in because the staff also seemed confused that we were there? There wasn't many people in the restaurant aside from a table with 7(?) people celebrating a birthday but they sat us down anyways and walked away. I chose this place because I saw in their reviews they were able to accommodate no onion / no garlic due to my FIL's dietary needs. When I tried to ask they brushed me off thinking I was asking for the bathroom and just pointed to the corner. But I had to ask once more to confirm if they were able to be accommodate this request and the guy told me to wait for my waiter. No problem, we waited and our waiter came over and gave us menus and I asked that I saw at one point they offered a buffet but he said they no longer offered it. Okay no worries - I asked which dishes are they able to accommodate with the no onion / no garlic (Jain dishes) and he pointed out a couple. Okay not bad, quite a bit of options! But after looking at the prices (oof so steep) it was about $17/dish average. While we were browsing the menu he brought over some lentil chips and sauces that we can eat with the chips. Really tasty! The chips were pretty salty but the dip he provided (There's 2 dips, the green one has onion) made it like a sweet salty combo. I liked it! We got 4 different dishes, 2 orders or naan, and a side of rice. This came out to almost $80 - our wallets were crying but my FIL was here so we wanted to treat him. The food came! It didn't take to long for them to come out, we got their samosas, gobi matar (cauliflower with green peas), aloo gobi (cauliflower with potatoes), and vegetable kofta (Vegetable balls mixed in a thick masala sauce), 2 orders of naan, and an order of their plain rice. Everything was tasty - just what you expected Indian food to taste like. Nothing that really stood out but still good nonetheless. But the food came out in these small bowls. Like I just couldn't get over that they WANTED TO CHARGE $17/per small bowl?? Served family style?? I just can't. Everything was ala carte so there was no way to get a combo of things. I don't think we would come back just due to how pricy it was and for how little food you get... Service was good, decent. But sometimes you get the feeling that you're not wanted(?) At this point the restaurant was getting busy so we wrapped up, paid, and headed out. I don't think we'll be back just due to how pricy it got and how little food it was

The curry is also well-spiced and flavorful. (IMPORTANT INFO: Bring cash. There's an additional 4% fee for card payments. Also, this location accepts EBT.) I arrived at Curry Time (Pomona) on Monday (around 4:25PM). Parking is easy. The lot is fairly empty. Staff is very friendly, curious, and welcoming. Staff repeatedly attempted conversation. Staff even appeared surprised that I'd chosen to dine-in. The food arrived very quickly since the curry sat on hot trays. As mentioned, I ordered the "2 Item Combo" ($15.99) and "Garlic Naan upgrade" (additional $1). The naan tasted buttery and hot; the garlic flavor was fairly muted, so I don't think the upgrade was worth it. Thankfully, the rice tasted very fresh and clean. For the "2 Item Combo," I chose Butter Chicken Curry and Goat Curry (additional $1.50 charge). The Butter Chicken is DELICIOUS!! Its chicken is tender & juicy, and its curry is thick, creamy, and well-seasoned. I happily embraced its light spicy kick. Concerning the Goat Curry, the sauce is heavier and savory. Unfortunately, the Goat Curry's protein tasted bitter, chewy, and almost rubbery; there's also many bones. Still, both curries felt well-intentioned and thoughtful. I left full and happy, Regarding ambiance, Curry Time (Pomona) felt a little run down and dingy. The corners didn't look well swept. Thankfully, the tables are smooth and clean. This location does not have a restroom, but there's a small hand sanitizer bottle for customers. Also, the location plays no music, but the flat screen TV plays youtube videos. Unfortunately, the main sound is an intrusive humming coming from the machine sitting by the entrance. The location is fairly cramped with its five tables. However, this place feels more like an order-and-leave spot. Overall, I created good memories at Curry Time (Pomona). The food is tasty and affordable! I also genuinely enjoyed the Butter Chicken. If searching for delicious Indian food, this is an easy recommendation. 4.7 out of 5
