My GF and I came here around 4pm on a Saturday and were lucky to beat the rush. Before paying for the buffet, we were able to walk around and check out the food, and everything looked fresh. Nothing seemed dried out or like it had been sitting too long. The customer service was great from the start. The woman helping us was kind, helpful, and walked us through the options. Since it wasn't busy, we were able to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant was also very clean and well-kept. The buffet was $25 per person and included all-you-can-eat food plus drinks like mango lassi, canned sodas, and water. They also had Indian beer available for an add't $5. Everything we tried was delicious. The Chicken 555, their house special, was amazing with the perfect mix of chili and spices. The garlic naan was fluffy and fresh, and both the butter chicken and tikka masala were excellent + their other options. The owner, was also very welcoming and attentive. He checked in often to see if we needed anything, and when the garlic naan ran out, he let us know a fresh batch was coming. Once it was ready, he brought it straight to our table. Solid Indian restaurant with a buffet. My friend and I came here during a weekend lunch, a little bit later than a traditional lunch and there weren't many other diners there, so no wait, no hassle. The worker was friendly and welcoming in getting us seated and answering any questions we had. Very spacious inside and perfect for a fancier event or if you need to book a banquet space. Nice splash of red and there's regular tables and semi circular booth tables which is nice. The hot buffet takes up an entire corner and side, so a lot of good choices and variety. Super flavorful curries and stews, meat was moist and good quality, and a good variety of carbs to enjoy the previously listed foods with (naan and basmati rice). I really enjoyed their chicken dishes here and the many, many ways that it's prepared. Get a little bit of everything to try. I liked the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken (I know, pretty basic, but they're solid staples) and spicy marinated chicken cubes. There's desserts to end the meal as well. Some of the goat dishes were a bit tougher and just okay to me and some things did look like they were out for a bit longer (drier), but eventually they were changed out and refreshed. All the food was seasoned with lots of spices for a complex depth of flavor. When I called to place a takeout order, the gentleman asked me to come in and order in person, saying, "The girl will pack it up right away." That clue should've warned me to go elsewhere. When I arrived, there was only one family dining in the restaurant, and the gentleman who took my order was very polite. One thing that stood out was that I wasn't asked what spice level I wanted. As he packed my order, he mentioned that he included extra samosas because they were small, and he also said something about the curry being better than the vindaloo. I didn't hear him clearly, thanked him, and headed home. After unpacking the food, I realized he had simply substituted our vindaloo with chicken curry without asking me to make the change. We ordered vindaloo because that is what we wanted. If the restaurant was out of it, the appropriate thing to do would have been to ask whether we wanted to choose something else or cancel that item. Deciding for the customer and swapping in a completely different dish is simply not acceptable. The experience also made me wonder whether some of the food had simply been scooped from what was left on the buffet rather than prepared fresh. The curry and samosas tasted as though they had been sitting for a long time. The garlic naan was excellent, although we ordered two and only received one. The chicken curry was so salty that each of us took only a spoonful before throwing the rest away. The samosas were dry and lacked flavor. The tikka masala was decent, but it was not enough to salvage the meal. We ultimately had to find something else for dinner. I'm not sure what changed. We ate here a few years ago and really enjoyed the food, which is why we came back. This visit was nothing like our previous experience, and it was disappointing because we remember the restaurant being much better. What a great find! This AYCE Indian buffet is only $18 per person, and that even includes soft drinks, bottled water, and mango lassi an incredible value! The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and there are so many different dishes to choose from. My personal favorites were the Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Madras Chicken Curry, Chef's Special Fish, and the Navratna Korma. Closing at 7pm on a Friday night? Not sure if it was just tonight but the way the waitress said it, it seems like that's their regular time. We saw 2 people stop by to pick up to-go orders while we were there. I wish that the buffet closure at 7pm was listed anywhere on yelp or their website that the buffet closes at 8pm. The owner and his wife run the restaurant, and it shows--every recipe is his wife's, and each dish tastes thoughtful, intentional, and made with care. The owner took the time to walk us through the menu, guiding us on where to start and sharing his personal recommendations, which made the experience feel welcoming and special. He recommended his top dish is the Chicken 555. It is soooo good, very tender. Their buffet runs from 11 AM to 7 PM, which is almost unheard of since most places end around 2-3 PM. This isn't your typical buffet food either, everything was made fresh!! The meats were soft and tender, the curries were rich and flavorful, and not a single dish was watery. I used to frequent this place a couple of work lifetimes ago and it was a favorite. 10 of us for lunch on rotation and the place was hopping during weekdays. All you can eat buffet stretching from wall to wall. Unlimited mango lassi. Tablecloths and drinks served in actual glasses. Yesterday, I brought the parental units to show off this lovely place and sad to say I guess times have become tough. The buffet was half its previous glory, part of the dining room has become storage and the office. All excusable and passable, but the most noticeable change was the quality of the food. The naan was a thin pita version of its old self. The butter chicken was not creamy and buttery delicious as it used to be. Samosas were nowhere to be seen. Fluffy rice became crunchy kernels inside a plastic bowl under the steel roll top. The mango lassi tank was replaced with pre-packaged plastic cups in a serve-yourself fridge limited to 2 per customer. There were reminders of the flavors I remembered from pre-Covid days, but only 3 occupied bare tables at lunch time on a Saturday speaks for itself. Soaring prices, dated spaces, disappearing tablecloths, limited service and shrinking menus are all signs of the times, but imho survival would depend on the quality of the food it offers. So the food itself is good, many different tasty curries and such. The tikka masala is really good and they make their Nan fresh for you. If you go at a weird time however, such as around 3 pm which is when I went, their food is really limited and they're not inclined to put out more. They said they were out often mint chutney and aloo gobi. They also don't put out any fresh food. I get it doesn't strategically make sense but If they have times open and charge the same prices, I feel they should offer the same quality of food instead of feeling like we're eating leftovers. Most trays were nearly empty, the food was dried out around the edges, and nothing was being refilled. There were gnats flying around our table the entire meal, and the owner/cook sat nearby watching videos on his phone at full volume. My family took a few bites and couldn't eat any more. For over $100 for a family of four, the value was terrible. They require you to pay the tip upfront, yet there is essentially no service. The only interaction we had was being told to "sit anywhere." I ordered the 2-entree bistro box combo with chicken 555 and chicken curry. The chicken 555 was fried chicken marinated in a spicy, red sauce. It wasn't amazing but I did love the chicken curry. It had a good amount of spice and tasted amazing with garlic naan. The bowl comes with a lot of rice which is plenty enough for both entrees but I'm a bigger fan of naan. No options for dessert, only one "malai kulfi" which was nothing like the authentic kulfi. Flour or some other thickener was added to it, and the texture was pasty instead of creamy. 3. Payment is upfront ($25) plus service charge, but everything is self serve including water. Bottled water and lassi cups are in the fridge that you have to take yourself. 4. All the vegetarian dishes were underwhelming. Dal makhani and paalak paneer were bland, navratan kurma was americanized with zuccini, chana masala and daal were just basic ok. 5. No pulao or biryani, just basic white rice. 6. Garlic naan is not as good as other restaurants. Pros: 1. I visited Curry India Bistro for the $25 lunch buffet and left feeling disappointed, not because of the food, but because of the atmosphere. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only a handful of customers dining at the time. Throughout my visit, I witnessed what appeared to be the owner repeatedly scolding and micromanaging an employee. I could hear him raising his voice near the entrance, and later watched him repeatedly call the employee over, gesturing in obvious frustration. The employee seemed stressed and was constantly rushing around despite the restaurant being very slow. What bothered me most was the contrast between how he interacted with customers and how he treated his staff. He frequently came to our table, smiling and enthusiastically discussing the food, asking if we enjoyed it. Meanwhile, moments earlier, he had been visibly frustrated and raising his voice at an employee. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere that was impossible to ignore. I understand that running a restaurant is stressful, but there is a difference between managing employees and publicly berating them. Respectful communication should be the standard in any workplace. As a customer, it was unsettling to witness and it negatively impacted my entire dining experience. The food may be good, but how people are treated matters too. You can't beat the price at $25 for as much as you can eat of Indian food that includes as much Garlic Naan as you want, soups, salad, ice cream their way and all the famous Indian curry chickens you've probably ever had right here. They don't hold back on the curry so you experience the tastes you're looking at. Personally, my favorite is the "Butter Chicken" and their special "555" which is so tasty but has spice. You end your meal with a mango juice which relieves your pallet to go have some more chicken when eating spicy. You can take your child there. Normally you have to pay for 2 buffets, but the waitress "Marlene" can understand if your child cannot eat much. Therefore, maybe just order the 1 item combo. You cannot share your buffet food with your child in all fairness to the prices they offer. This is definitely a go to place. It is delicious, tasty and finishes off well your craving for Indian food or trying a bit of all Curry Indian food at opening 11am to taste the foods fresh' made. (My experience was from a visit back around early 2024, so hopefully things have improved since then, especially since I see they still have plenty of good reviews.) Sad to say, things have gone downhill. We used to be diehard fans of this place and long-time customers since before the pandemic, and we supported them all throughout with their to-go items. But when we went back to try the buffet again, it just wasn't the same. Prices had gone up, which is totally understandable, but the quality was lacking. Some dishes were especially disappointing: * Naan wasn't freshly cooked and turned soggy sitting in the chafing dish. * Chicken 555 actually had raw bits in it. When I told the staff, the response was basically "try another piece." Not acceptable. Only after I pushed did they recook it. * Palak paneer was flavorless. * Tandoori chicken just didn't taste the way it used to. * Tamarind chutney was watered down and lacked the rich body it once had. On top of that, we had to prepay for the buffet, which also included the tip. Normally, I'd assume that would cover service, but the staff even asked us to bus our own plates. The drinks (mango lassi, coke, and waters) are self serve towards the back of the room and each person can have 2 drinks! The mango lassi was a little watered down so it was less thick and sweet, but I liked it that way! The buffet felt very fresh and the food was in covered trays and warm. You pay up front, $25 for buffet (+ tax=$27.82). Sit wherever you like. We were the only table for an hour before anybody else walked in. All the buffet food were in chafing dishes. Picked foods like goat soup, butter chicken, veggie samosa, fish curry, goat curry, tandoori chicken, daal, spinach paneer, rice, etc. There were more misses than hits. Naan bread is ok. The texture was more like tortillas. Mango lassi is ok. Everything was like warm. The few standouts for me are the goat curry and tandoori chicken. My friend liked the fish curry dish. I mean, everything was edible. Lots of can soda, bottle water and mango lassi in the fridge. The only dessert was this "shaved ice" in some sort of milk sauce.
