There are covered picnic tables, basketball and tennis courts, a playground, a splash pad and a soccer field. There are also restrooms available as well. The playground is pretty big, with four difference slides and bridges connecting them. I've been here a couple of times when there have been community events like program recruitment and fitness sessions. It works really well for this type of reunion. There's plenty of space to spread out and the set up works really well. A lot of people from the neighborhood seem to join regularly. The only reason why I don't rate it higher is because it usually needs cleaning, with lots of random trash left. The restroom walls have also been vandalized several times. Wish we'd take better care of it!

Winterfest is one of my favorite Tulsa holiday traditions. It's pretty affordable too if you're an Arvest customer (tickets are $6 instead of $12) or if you go on Mondays and Wednesdays. If you bring canned food for food drive Monday, tickets are only $6 and if you donate any new or gently used warm items (coats, gloves, blankets, hats etc.) on Warmth Wednesdays, you get half off tickets too. This is its 15th year, and it keeps getting better and better. I love taking my nieces and nephew and enjoying skating under the downtown lights. We always bundle up and enjoy hot cocoa when we get cold. We also love taking pictures by the huge Christmas tree. This year, there are fun events like breakfast and brunch with Santa. There is also an addition of holiday shops on certain days which is a great idea since not everyone actually skates. There are also carriage rides available. Sometimes there are private events so make sure to check the calendar before heading down there to make sure the rink is open to the public.

Thank you to the girl who let me go down the slide once after they closed. I was impressed with the rink. The refrigeration was perfect. (No puddles at all) I didn't know if Oklahoma ice would compare to Indiana ice but there wasn't a lot of differences. Great location, environment, good choice of background music, and friendly staff. Would go again!

The playground area is small, with only a slide and monkey bars. There's also what looks like a water playground area but I've never actually seen it working. There's a basketball court, some picnic tables and restrooms. The best thing about this park though are the tennis courts. There are 4 public courts and there are lights you can turn on outside the fence so you don't have to worry about it getting dark and not being able to see. Another cool thing is that the Hillcrest helicopter pad is within sight so it's neat to see it take off and land. One precautionary note though is to not sit on the wooden benches inside the courts. They're kind of old and it's easy to get splinters if you're not wearing jeans. Don't ask how I know this...

Opened in 2008, this park is located in the deco district in downtown, between Boston & Main. It's…read moregreat to have some greenery amidst buildings, but for a long time, this space has been severely underutilized and neglected besides some annual festivals like Elote's 5 de Mayo. In 2018, the nonprofit Urban Core Art Project in partnership with OU's Urban Design Studio brought large, interactive, and temporary art installations to the park, highlighting the need for intervention. They also made recommendations to improve the park. One of those recommendations was the "Be the One" 918 sculpture in collaboration with TU's school of art. Big silver numerals 9 and 8 have a space in the middle for visitors to insert themselves as "the one". I have seen more people taking pictures, so I like this addition. None of the other recommendations have been implemented, it would be great to ask the city to revisit them. It's been great to see it leveraged in a more constant basis, like for 918 Day and the weekly downtown farmer's market on Wednesdays. I hope programming continues and it helps bring people to this part of town. I certainly enjoy it. Just wish there were more shaded areas.

Shirts are so reasonable and the designs are so original (and Tulsa and Okie themed). The quality is good and the shirts are so soft. There's a few other souvenir type items but seriously, go for the shirts! (Sorry no photos. I already wrapped the gift.) Reasonably priced, too, unlike the other two places we went. :(

Buckets that dump water! Even a small rainbow that spits out stream of water for kiddos to run through. Shaded sitting space under the gazebo right by the splash pad.
