He answered all my questions I had about the academy and BJJ and trust me I had a lot of questions. Steve is patient and kind. When all the other people got there they all spoke about how they have so much fun there and how they have learned so much from Steve. It was like joining a family. My first lesson from Steve was great. He is a wonderful professor. He explained everything. I now know the difference between BJJ & Judo. You can tell that this is his passion because of his knowledge, ability to speak about the art, and his professionalism. The facility is extremely spacious with quality mats. The amenities are excellent, with full shower and training room. The instructor is top notch, an expert in his craft. I believe they do more nogi than gi but practice both. I happened to show up on a nogi session The student base are all very competitive yet friendly and welcoming. There was women in the mat which is a good sign. They have kids classes and kickboxing as well that seem very good.

What truly stands out is how patient and understanding the coaches are. They never push him too hard but instead gently encourage him to join in at his own pace, which has made such a difference for him. You can tell they genuinely care about each child and want them to feel comfortable and confident. Because of their approach, my son has slowly started opening up more, and that means everything to us. I was pleasantly surprised at the care they take in making sure the youngsters are ready to engage in such activity. My daughter has been in for a few months now, has since turned 4 and LOVES it. I may have been only a little kid back then, and that was a special time when everyone was respectful, awesome, cool, and freindly.
