The guys at the store are amazing! Always open to help and satisfy customer needs. It was super easy to try and return items, and even a bike itself, after I started feeling that I needed to downsize, even though I took it home and rode. Great customer service! Only one other customer in front of me and was assisted very quickly. I have a 10+-year-old Trek bike and wanted the bike checked out/get a tune-up before I started riding it again. Matt explained if I were to get a full tune-up, the tune-up would be worth more than the bike itself. Despite saying this, he still looked over my bike, pumped up the air in my tires, checked the brakes, checked the gears, etc and I was on my way in about 15-20 minutes without any charge! Matt was very informative and friendly. I'm thankful for his honest and quick assistance. I'm sure if I had gone elsewhere, they would have charged me full price for this level of service and I wouldn't have gotten my bike back nearly as quickly. The entire Team, Jackson, Steve and David, provided the highest level of service. Jackson in particular took on the role of fixing my ebike after my son was involved in an accident. There was fairly extensive damage as it turned out. the cassette, chain, peddle... all returned in good order. They also cleaned and armor all the bike... what? Above and beyond. Here is the kicker: due to a sick employee, a part was not ordered initially... they freely offered me a solution - loan me an amazing high end ebike for a week of awesome fun. They made me as happy as a clam. So grateful... one more point... the price was more than reasonable in my mind/expectation to get the bike back on the road. I highly recommend the shop. read more

Was not able to work on my bike. A TREK bike. From the second I got there they made it clear the did not even want to work it and I received attitude from a employee. Very poor customer service from the repair department. They got frustrated when I called asking about the status after a week of nothing. Waited 2 weeks and all they did was try and turn it on. Took it somewhere else and they got it working in just a few hours. Putting aside them not working on my bike, they where rude and this made for a negative experience. read more

I went to Trek Bicycle in Corte Madera to ask about saddles and parts for an old beater cruiser bike I use for local shopping trips and shuttles between our house on a long Boardwalk and where we park our cars. The guys there were very generous with and took twenty minutes or so to chat and advise me to better go elsewhere , knowing full well that there would not be any money in it for them , at least on that visit. Had issues with my local bike shop not being able to 100% fix my mountain bike. I figured I'll take it to the Trek Specialists since the other Trek Bicycle shops in San Francisco are closed. Immediately upon pulling up into the parking lot at 10am, I see a store employee waving to me from across the parking lot. I wave back and had a smile under my face mask. When I brought my bike in, I explained what happened and that there is play in my rear suspension pivot. The man who waved, Ed or as his name tag says "Easy Ed," immediately introduced me to Tony, who is a mechanic there. Tony took my bike and diagnosed it. He immediately told me that the bolts on the bicycle were not torqued to spec and immediately noticed a bolt plate loose! Me and Ed talked about mountain biking and my experience with mountain biking in the bay area as Tony was working on my bike. I was immediately amazed at the enthusiasm Ed has with the sport and the career he is in. Long story short, after the conversation was over, my girlfriend ended up purchasing a new bicycle saddle and some bike attire and I was able to get my bike fixed from Tony who was able to immediately diagnose why there was play in the rear suspension. When I was leaving, Ed gave one GREAT suggestion. TEAR IT UP! I did in the parking lot and there was a clicking sound from my bike. Ed expressed his concern about my safety and the health of my bicycle. He then had me wait for a mechanic to check it out. We were able diagnose the issue and determined my bicycle pedals were the culprit. These guys here definitely care for their riders and the bikes they own. Will I come back? HECK YEA! Incredible customer service. To a man, everyone is focused on the customer experience. I had the unfortunate experience of having my custom bikes stolen. Looking for replacement, to be honest I was not in frame of mind to go thru this. These guys worked patiently with me to help me find the right bike. Subsequent follow up to get it right, these guys bent over backwards to make it right. I cannot say enough good things about them and would highly recommend this team of bike professionals for whatever your needs are. Stoped in today to pick up some Electra ape hanger bars for a rare bike I'm restoring, they actually had them in stock ! Very hard to find item. very bad customer service from a lady (Esmee?), very disappointed cuz I usually support women at work. Called in advance, booked an appointment and was told there were plenty fx3 stock at my size. Happily drove 40 minutes to purchase while she showed me the bike (not my size) from 12ft behind a desk, said my size was not assembled and I cannot touch/test other assembled small bike ...ironically meanwhile there were other customers testing bike next to me. Asked her why others can test, she said "cuz they are buying a bike"...so I drove from sf just to take a look at a bike not my size from 12ft away lady ? I was not there to buy one ? then she asked me to leave my information on a random paper and will call me when it is assembled in 3 days then walked away. I called on Wed and of course the store didn't have my information so was asked to share my info again and have to wait for more days. I would like to give this entire experience and that lady 0 star but yelp didn't support. I just hope if you are getting paid please work professionally and treat everybody equally. I LOVE my Trek Rail 9.7. Seriously. It's amazing. While I'm quite fit and an indoor cycle instructor, I embarrassingly have to admit that I don't like to bike outside. I know, you think that's ridiculous, but it's true. Once COVID hit and I couldn't teach anymore, I ended up getting an EMTB and it was a complete game changer. I can push so dang hard, with aggression and power and it feels fabulous. Plus I can cover so much more ground. Every other bike I've had did not fit me well and caused various physical issues, but Rob worked with me to find the right bike and made adjustments to help it work for me. He was fabulous. And here's the big thing, my bike did have a mystery problem after a few rides. I had to take it back a couple of times, but Rob kept at it until he was able to find the odd ball screwy issue and fix it. It hasn't had a problem since and I've put serious miles on that bike. That says a lot, someone that is willing to go the extra mile (pun intended) in terms of customer service and ensuring a quality product. Great bike and Rob is great person to work with! read more
