My wife received front and rear tires and new tubes from Cam at Bikesmith today. We had expected to merely purchase the tires and tubes and install them ourselves, but the Bikesmith tech named "Cam" completed the task in about 1/2 hour, and we were thrilled. Cam is an excellent member of the Bikesmith team, and is a showpiece and an example for great public relations. He answered all our questions cheerfully and without a hint of arrogance. Fantastic Shop!!!! Knowledgeable. Friendly. Great staff. Andrew has helped me tackle several projects successfully. The latest being brake bleeding. I stopped by to pick up the correct fluid and he asked if I had a "brake block". Had he not asked this question I would not have been able to complete the task. How easy can selecting a new bike be? Checked out the shops in town by reading reviews on Yelp. Bikesmith Cyclery was my first stop. Mike was working on bikes but took time to answer all my questions as well as let me try a few of the demo's off the showroom floor. Turns out I needed a special order bike. Andrew steps in and calls Pivot in Phoenix and within 24 hours the bike is built and he's making last minute adjustments to the suspension etc that are tailored just for me. Twenty minutes later I'm on the trail with a big smile on my face. They also gave my vintage Cannondale the once over and its like brand new again. These guys are the best, incredibly generous with their time to help us. My bike rack shifted and I did not have the tool to adjust it - being from out of town I was stuck. Pulled in to inquire about borrowing a tool, and the guy immediately grabbed his tool and headed outside to adjust my bike rack. Moving to Prescott from PV, so thought would check out Bikesmith. Found them very welcoming, clean shop, and knowledgeable. Fixed what I needed done, and tweaked a couple other things as well. And then made some other suggestions, but with no pressure and good communication - always hate when get badgered into repairs as if bike is going blow up on the spot if don't drop cash that instant. Andrew, Mike, et al are very good at what they do, which, for me, is to keep me riding. They sold me the bike and I have them do all repair and maintenance on my Pivot Trail 429. After 3 years, it was time to replace the drive train. Happy to say it now rides as well as it did on the first day. Their pricing is fair, and they are always glad to explain things and giving me riding tips. read more

Great service and assistance with trying out bikes. They know bikes. Some items are a bit expensive like $7 for a water bottle with their name on it, and $100 for the price of a bike over list on the manufacturer's web site, but if you want to be assured you get a great fitting bike and want a no pressured sales approach, this is the place. read more

I was in need of a trainer to rehab my knee after surgery. I called and spoke with Andrew and he said the did not have any, so he referred me to another local bike shop that had one. I was impressed that he was willing to refer business to a competitor! That is the trait of a true professional, IMHO. Being new to the sport, I had to modify a used mountain bike for the trainer. So, I took my business to Andrew. He was helpful, patient and courteous listening to and answering my novice questions. Chris, who worked on my bike, was also very patient and explained everything he was doing. Great service!
