What a fun thing to do in Cottonwood and Clarkdale! It was a bit chilly, so we'll probably do it again in the spring. From making the reservation, showing up, getting a map of suggested places to go, directions on how to use the ebikes, a business card to reach them, a lock and set of tools for any unforeseen problems (there were none), to turning the bikes back in, they make it so easy!!! Like the others have said.. great bike shop... At one point I wanted to say... "no take my money" When Greg thought I needed a 29in tire he gave it to me... once I discovered it was the wrong size... They fixed the wheel for me and did it over-night so I could head to the Grand Canyon --- and now--- tomorrow I am off to Moab... with wheels that work. Thanks guys read more

The E-bike was purchased elsewhere but Zac still helped out with getting the necessary defective parts from the manufacturer, under warranty, and put the bike back together again! Verde Valley Bicycle Co., and Zac, saved the day for us! The bike shop in Sedona sold out on rentals while we were there, in-person, in the middle of reserving those last bikes. Verde Valley, in Cottonwood, had mtb bikes for us and Zac was incredibly helpful with trail suggestions, tips, repair kit (never needed), dinner and breakfast recommendations, etc. We had a great ride in Dead Horse Ranch State Park. We were out for a few hours and saw just two hikers and two pairs of bikers. Great recommendations made for an awesome experience! read more

Small towns have the best people! While repairing a flat tire on Christmas Day we couldn't get the cogset to spin when we put it back together. We called Verde Valley Cycle hoping to hear when they might next be open BUT they answered, interrupting their gift wrapping!! They invited us to come to the shop and within a nanosecond diagnosed and repaired our bike. We recently camped at Dead Horse Ranch and I wanted to try riding some of the cool trails there that I had hiked before. I stopped by Verde to see what they had to rent and Zac set me up with a great full suspension bike for a fair price. He also suggested a better route than I had in mind that made the climb and downhill a lot more fun. It ended up being an awesome ride on a great bike. Next time I need to rent a bike in Cottonwood, I'll be visiting Verde Valley Bicycle! read more

I recently took my sons tire and frame in to get fixed after I ran his bike over. They gave me a good price on what it would be to fix it. A few days later Greg the owner called and informed me that it was worse off than they had thought. He went above and beyond to help us out and set my son up with a new bike. My son was thrilled. Greg could have very easily just said sorry, we aren't going to be able to fix it and sent me on my way. I'm so thankful he went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. We are RV'ers so bikes for the kids are essential. I forgot to mention that we were also on a strict timeline and he came in on Sunday when they were closed to help us. Verde Valley Bicycle went above and beyond to provide excellent service and quality rental bicycles when we flew our small plane to the Cottonwood Municipal Airport. We wanted to explore the area. From bicycle delivery, suggestions on trails and restaurants in the area, to a very quick flat tire fix, they were the perfect solution to getting around the area. Greg even helped us get our luggage back to the airport at the end of our multiday stay. Their professionalism and enthusiasm were the icing on the cake! We'll be back! read more

My partner and I just purchased new mountain bikes a couple weeks ago and while traveling though Cottonwood we wanted to have our bikes looked at (as you should after riding them for a little while) just to make sure everything was running smoothly. We find this establishment driving by one day and stopped by the next day. We were greeted immediately and explained what we would like our bikes to be overlooked for any adjustments that need to be made (also electric bikes with motors). The gentleman Randy (owner to find out later) was extremely helpful and explained what they would do to the bikes to make sure they are running at optimal levels. We came back the next day to pick up ur bikes and they had done everything we asked them to do and he even installed my new pedals (I bought somewhere else) for me at no charge. After some chatter with Randy we were made aware of a local bike group that rides on the weekends and was invited to join this weekend. You know that place where people just want to hang out (like Cheers or your friends house in the 80's who's mom made snacks and let you run around) and you feel like home, well this is that place. In from out of town and needed a bike tune-up. These guys were super nice and very helpful. $30 for a full bike check over, and wound up purchasing a new seat from them as well. They were busy when I went in, but they still had my bike ready the next day. read more

Pay attention when a customer asks to have their brakes done completely. Pads slip and bike was obviously not quality checked before leaving the shop despite ordering a full overhaul and requesting brake pad check. Massive attitude from the staff. Undelivered promises. Lot's of excuses. Poor workmanship and very little attention to detail. Taking this somewhere else to find out what else is wrong with it that wasn't caught by Verde Valley Bicycle Company. The best thing they did was agree (very reluctantly) to give a demo bike for the day when they failed to complete the work by the date agreed. Won't be back! read more

This place is the worst most poorly run shop I have ever visited. I was warned and yet decided to give them the benefit of the dought. What a mistake. They lied to me about my bike. Charged me for things they should have covered and on and on. Said the bike was road worthy and it was unsafe. I had to take it it back three times for all the lies they told me. FYI to every one who rides or has kids that ride bikes. Zoomers Bikes & Gear rips people exspecially kids off!!! They don't back up their products. They say they know about BMX when in reality know nothing about them. They will sell and charge you for products that don't work on your bike, then charge you again to fix it when they don't do anything but make it worse. When asking for a refund I was told I couldn't prove it was due to thier parts cause the bike had be riden. When in actuality no it had not because the parts were wrong and couldn't be riden safely. I will be posting this on every web site I can so no one else will have to go through this!!! We live in a small town and shouldn't be ripping people off or putting people in danger with improper parts. read more

These guys are the best! I went in hoping to get a tune up on my bike, and even though they were completely swamped, they squeeze me in and fixed some problems I was having and gave me lots of free advice. They also put some new fatter tires on my bike and gave me the scoop on the local mountain bike trails. Jeff and Randy are super knowledge about everything bike-related. They have a good selection of Trek bikes, and they also have rentals. So if you're in the Cottonwood area, definitely stop by and see them before you head out on the trails!
