I purchased my Lectric Bike from Archer BIke in Prescott Valley, AZ. The two guys that asssited me were Brian and Rudy. My first inquiry was online at about 8 P.M. I was suprised when I received a text back from Brian who answered all my question and concerns. Brian was polite and professional and worked with me until I was ready to order. I went to archer Bike on a Sunday and placed my order with Rudy. Rudy was very accomadating and there was zero pressure to rush through my purchase or buy anything extra other than what I wanted. Rudy stayed in touch with me until my Bike arrived at Archer and insured my new bike build was spectacular. When I picked up my bike Brian Rudy and a gentleman with a beard went over how to fold and operate my new bike. Fantastic bike shop, with knowledgeable and friendly staff! Not having owned bikes for a very long time, my wife and I decided to pay a visit to our local bike store, Archer's, to check out their e-bikes. We had done a lot of research on-line and considered buying from Amazon or a big-box store. But we wanted to see what we could find at a local store, since we prefer giving our $$ to local businesses. Long story short: So VERY glad we went to Archer's. Theo and Brian were awesome! They took the time to listen to our needs and budget, and at no point put any pressure on us to buy. They explained to us all the options, what we would get for the different price points, and found us one used bike and one floor demo (which they had to get from another of their locations), so that we ended up with very good quality bikes that fit our budget! I've since been back in the store for a few accessories and supplies, and every time they are so patient and helpful. You can tell they are all enthusiastic about cycling, and are happy to answer as many dumb questions as I can throw at them. Luckily Archer's is close to home, but I'd drive some distance to go here if that was the case. read more

I am very happy to write a review for Archer's Bikes in Prescott Valley, AZ. Rudy was my sales rep. I needed and wanted an E-Bike because of a recently discovered heart condition, so I wanted an exercising outlet that allowed me to ride with a handy-cap - of sorts. The E-Bike Rudy sold me is a mountain bike but is versatile enough for street riding, too. After Rudy showed me three tiers of E-Bikes (exercise level, a mid range mountain bike and a super fancy level mountain bike), I chose the Giant Trance --E Pro3, and I have had no regrets! It has 6 levels levels of assist (zero through 5), and let me tell you, I keep it on level three which gets me further faster but without too much strain (For my heart), and if I get too tired or worried then I kick it up to 5 and hardly have to make much effort to climb steep hills; and without needing to stop pumping my legs (which keeps blood returning to my heart). To me with my health condition, this is why I got the E-Bike that Rudy helped me decide on. I've taken my new mountain bike on a few easy to moderate mountain bike trails, and if I have it on levels 3-5, it's like broncho riding (so take it slow when you first get it; to get the hang of it). The bike does most of the powering while I exercise my whole body balancing, breaking and (carefully) navigating rocks and grooves on the trail. It handles jumping and fishtailing in sand/gravel pretty well, and I'm fairly new to real mountain biking. While seated for conserving, resting and cruising upon such trailers, the ride is really comfortable with the suspension it has which absorbs a great deal of the shock, so my 58 year old body doesn't take a beating so much. The down side, for me, is the weight of the bike. It's almost too heavy for me to lift safely into my RV because of the RV's narrow entrance with four steps, so if you are not strong and there is no easy way to keep it inside, then hopefully you have a garage. Because of my heart condition, it will take longer to build strength to manage the bike for my life-style, but with regular use and practice, I will get stronger for having this bike (THANKS RUDY). I had a hitch added to my compact truck, and I went back to Archer's Bikes today, and I asked Rudy about a bike rack to carry my bike on trips. He sold me a great one, and he took it out, applied it to my new hitch and demonstrated how to use it while he did it. The rack isn't so high (or heavy) that I'll have to struggle enjoying my new healthy exercise machine. I really appreciated how Rudy helped me choose my bike and that Archer's bikes had the exact bike I Wanted and needed for my health and fitness goal; keeping my heart and life as well as they both allow me to live. ZERO STARS! Called to ask about availability of a bike. They said they could order it and that the price was $2800 when I knew the price was $500 less if I ordered it online myself. I was also told I would need to make a $500 deposit which was NOT REFUNDABLE if I found it wasn't the right bike for me. They did not have one available to look at in the store. When I told "Jeff" the bike actually costs $2300 online he hung up on me and would not answer the phone when I tried to call back. Isn't anyone honest anymore?!?! Shame on you guys! read more

Brian, Jessica, and Randy are the three top reasons I purchased my new bike from them instead of closer to me in the phoenix area. ZERO STARS -- Really unfortunate that Yelp does not allow zero stars. We do not recommend working with Archer Bikes. About two weeks ago, we visited the Archer Bike shop in Prescott Valley. After speaking with the owner we looked at several bikes and based on the recommendation of Mr. Archer we decided to consider a Yamaha bike. The Prescott Valley store did not have a small but Archer Bikes in Mesa had the correct size. Mr. Archer called the Mesa store -- while my husband and I were still at the PV location -- and told them to have it sent to PV because I wanted to buy it. Mr. Archer took our phone number and e-mail and told us it would take about a week. We waited ten days, and then called to find out the status of my bike. Apparently, they sold the bike promised to me to someone else. We are livid. This outfit did not even have the COURTESY to call us. STAY FAR AWAY. This is NOT how you run a reputable business. Follow our lead, and take your money elsewhere. Apparently keeping promises is not part of their business model. UPDATE: Randy: I simply will not let you lie about this. It was not already sold when you called Mesa. My husband and I were standing next to you. You instructed your Mesa staff or co-owner to take the bike off the floor and get it to PV. It was after you hung up the phone that you told us "it would take about a week." We told you we would buy the bike, if it fit. The last thing my husband said to you was "if it fits her, you will adjust it and sell her what accessories she needs?" You responded: "absolutely!" Does that sound like a request for a "test drive" plan? As you recall we were not certain if I needed a small or medium bike. This morning you told us that you learned that the bike had been sold THE SAME DAY WE WERE IN YOUR SHOP. Why did you not call us immediately? Why wait ten days for us to call you to ask if it arrived yet? Your FAILURE to call to update me on the status of the bike you assured me was on the way is unforgivable. If you had called me that day, I would have had three weeks to try to buy a bike elsewhere in time for my National Park trip. You really are compounding my anger by lying about this. read more

We called the shop from the desert 2 hours away with an electrical problem on my Specialized Turbo Levo Mountain E-Bike. The owner, Randy Archer, who I later learned is a mechanic engineer, was like talking to Houston Control. Smart, patient and persistent in first trying to diagnose my problem long distance. I detoured from our desert adventure and took the bike to him. He was mission control in spotting the problem, explaining it to me, ordering the part overnight and getting us back to the desert. If I didn't live in Southern Oregon, this would be my home base shop. read more

be careful coming in here. they will rip you off. you come in for one thing and they will act friendly and start acting like they are helping look at your bike then charge you $70 for looking at your bike. You think they're doing a friendly thing to keep your business but that lost my business. tell people if you're going to charge them for something, especially when they say they can do it themselves and you continue to do it and then charge them. I was totally bamboozled. if I knew I was being charged instead of given some "friendly" advice, I wouldn't have asked a simple question in the first place. be honest with people. read more
