Had to call three times to ask for the price of the service that was being done on my truck which was an oil change and right rear berring leak. Response was "oh I don't know. It's going to be pricey." Guy on phone estimated and told me $30 for the seal. That's the only price he told me regarding an estimated cost. I knew it wouldn't be just $30. When it was done that's when I got the actual price. Over $700. And got charged around $130 for a $30 part including overnight shipping. Was told the first seal didn't take which was a red flag. I was also charged 8.99 for windshield wiper top off. That could've been a price said over the phone if it was I wouldn't have authorized it (actually didn't when I dropped truck off because I only said an oil change and the berring seal.) since I have wiper fluid at home. I paid and drove the truck home and to work next day. Not even 60 miles since work was done and the berring seal was leaking again. I drove back to Bill and Mikes and told them. Bring it back they said. Since I had a terrible experience with them with just getting transparency on pricing of the work being done I took it to a certified ASE mechanic. After he took everything apart he informed me that Bill and Mikes didn't have the right tool for the seal job and they pried the old seal out with a chisel damaging the seal seat. See attached pictures. They also didn't have the right tool to install the new seal as that was damaged too. Hence why the new seal bill and mikes installed leaked immediately because it was already damaged from the mechanic jamming it in. He also informed me that they stripped the differential fluid bolt and broke something on my rear brake. The brakes weren't bleed through correctly when I drove it away from Bill and Mikes because I had to press the pedal all the way to floor to stop. I had to spend the same amount of money to fix it correctly with a different mechanic. I wish to get a full refund for the work Bill and Mikes did on the berring seal. They shouldn't offer this service if the mechanic doesn't have the right tools for the job. I won't be taking my vehicles here ever again. My experience summed up: 1) dodgy with price transparency 2) did a terrible job and didn't fix the problem 3) damaged my truck more after their service. read more

I noticed there weren't any reviews for these guys. I have to say that on a recommendation I took a vehicle in for some work and have never stopped going back some 3 yrs later. With 4 teens in cars we obviously have some routine vehicle issues. These guys are always fast, reasonable, accurate and attentive. They always remember me by name, my kids, work and what's going on in life and never do anything that I don't want done. I trust the dealer mechanics in town but I trust these guys more to only recommend what really needs to be done at a fair price and get 'r done quick. My daughter took her bus there because the gear shifter wouldn't go out of park. They replaced the ignition switch and it seemed okay to go. She is now stuck in Eagle Colorado with it stuck in Drive and now is scared and doesn't know what to do. It won't start and she is in front of a tree with nowhere to go. Also, we also asked them to fix all the rear lights. The first time they said they worked but when we got it home they did not work. She had to take it back in for a fourth day and the brake lights and right turn signal still don't work. She had to leave for work in Colorado. She is now stuck 30 minutes from her destination in Colorado and having a panic attack. $500 and it still doesn't work. read more

Called to asked about a truck they have there and they told me that the asking price was $12k wouldn't give me any information on it when I asked.....then I had a couple friend's call asking about the same truck they were both given a different price..... first was told it was $8k and that tires were brand new and that chassis had over 256k miles but engine only had 80k second was told $4500 cuz out has over 295k miles and that the tranny was slipping. read more

We broke down on vacation and was towed to this auto shop. they worked hard all day on our truck which allowed us to get back on the road later that day. The men were kind and we loved it was a multi generation business. They even had a dog Ginger there for our kids and adults to love on. Thanks for the great service in a shitty situation. Zero. They get Zero stars. I am disappointed I had to give the 1 star. I took in a car to get a clutch master cylinder replaced. My car worked fine...for 2 days. The battery dies and I took the car back. I was told the battery was shot. I replaced the battery. My car ran for a day or two. I took the car back. I was told it was the starter. I replaced the starter (2 times!!!). The car died again. I took it back. This time i was told it was the alternator. I replaced that part. The car died AGAIN!!!! I called my old mechanic (who had relocated) and he diagnosed the problem over the phone WITHOUT even LOOKING at my car. Turns out it was a loose wire from the negative battery cable the WHOLE TIME! Meanwhile I am out parts and labor for a battery (replaced 3 times), alternator (replaced 2 times) and a starter (replaced 2 times) as they kept telling me the parts were bad. My car ran for 2 weeks tops... i took the car back in (by this time I'm mad) because the clutch was not working (remember i paid them over $1,000 dollars to replace the clutch master cylinder) and they then said the clutch was bad and charged me again. My car ran for a couple more weeks and THE SAME THING! Now its something else. Turns out they DIDN'T TEST THE PARTS THEY PUT IN! A decent mechanic should test drive the car before returning it to the owner to make sure the problem was FIXED! I have found out that they did this same nickel and dime stuff to someone else! ***** Mechanics are paid for labor by the hour. If you take your car in and get all the parts put in at once it is quicker as the car is already torn apart and thus cheaper for you. The clock always round UP to the next hour. If something takes 15 minutes you pay for an hour of work. Thus, if a mechanic fixes one part. gives it back then you have to replace another component of the same thing you get ripped off and THEY make more money then if they would have diagnosed the whole problem and fixed it all at once, saving you labor $$$. According to another mechanic i probably did not need the alternator, battery and starter as that was NOT the problem but I paid for them all. battery $100 Starter $236 roughly Alternator: Over $400 Labor on all of it: ALOT I most likely did not need any of this as it did NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. What a rip-off... I am very sad to write this, but charging us, passing threw tourists, $203 for 10 minutes of technician standing and changing the super extra expensive AC cans to refill our AC???
